After Japan was defeated in WW2, Korea gained independence again. However, Soviet forces occupied the North, and US forces the South. • To avoid confict, it was decided at Potsdam that the country would be divided at the 38th parallel. • Elections were held in each half of the country; in the North the Communist Kim Il Sung came to power, and in the South the nationalist Syngman Rhee. Digest yang tinggi reputasinya ini meletakkan Kuala Lumpur hampir di tempat paling corot dalam se... more Digest yang tinggi reputasinya ini meletakkan Kuala Lumpur hampir di tempat paling corot dalam senarai Bandar Raya Paling Kurang Berbudi Bahasa iaitu di kedudukan ke-34 daripada 36 bandar raya utama dunia. Dalam lain perkataan, orang kita agak biadab. Saya melihat dapatan ini ada benarnya. Antara yang biasa dilihat dan dialami ialah bergelut menaiki bas sebelum penumpang turun, tidak mematuhi papan tanda larangan merokok dan meninggalkan troli di kawasan letak kereta. Dikhabarkan juga, perbuatan membiarkan perempuan hamil berdiri di dalam bas juga sangat ketara berlaku di kalangan kita. Nilai berbudi bahasa, sopan santun, sabar, merendah diri, toleransi dan hormat-menghormati masih belum menjadi cara hidup kita. Di sebalik kemajuan teknologi, kita sebenarnya berdepan dengan isu kemerosotan moral dalam kehidupan seharian kita. BAB HURAIAN DAN PERBINCANGAN 2.0 Tiada Nilai-Nilai Budi Bahasa Sikap pemandu kita yang tidak mematuhi undang-undang dikhabarkan berada di kedudukan paling teratas dalam senarai perilaku tidak berbudi bahasa. Tengoklah di mana-mana pun, harapan sentiasa ada untuk kita melihat kereta-kereta di letakkan sesuka hati tanpa mengambil kira sama ada di kawasan bergaris kuning, di pili bomba dan sebagainya. Paling memualkan menyaksikan pemilik kereta yang kononnya mewah, bernombor plat yang agak istimewa pula, ditambah lagi dengan pelekat kereta di cermin depan yang melambangkan mereka sangat istimewa. Golongan ini sewenang-wenangnya meletak kereta di depan lobi hotel, pintu masuk pusat membeli belah ataupun restoran. Siapa yang boleh marah mereka? Khabarnya, pihak berkuasa, polis dan pengawal keselamatan fobia bila berdepan dengan kereta-kereta begini. Saya pernah terserempak seorang petugas parkir meletakkan surat saman di atas sebaris kereta-kereta Proton tetapi tidak pula melakukannya pada sebuah kereta Audi SUV yang bercermin gelap. Pastinya dia tidak mahu "menyusahkan" dirinya nanti, saya membuat kesimpulan sendiri. Lebih menjengkelkan, kalau memandu di lebuh raya pula, pemilik kereta mewah ini seolah-olah berfikiran bahawa kereta-kereta yang tidak mewah perlu dengan segera memberikan laluan kepada mereka. Umumnya Asia Tenggara meliputi dua jenis masyarakat besar iaitu negeri-negeri di Tanah Besar dan negeri-negeri kepulauan. Kedua-duannya terdiri daripaa Vietnam, Kemboja, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapura, Brunei, Indonesia dan Filipina. 1 [1] Kerjasama serantau di antara negara-negara di Asia Tenggara ini sebenarnya telah bermula sejak abad yang ke-13 lagi. Kerjasama serantau ketika itu meliputi tiga aspek besar iaitu kerjasama dari sudut sosiobudaya, politik, dan diplomasi serta perdagangan dan ekonomi. Namun kerjasama ketika itu melibatkan dua buah negara sahaja contohnya hubungan Siam dengan Melaka, Myanmar dengan Siam dan Majapahit dengan negeri-negeri Nusantara 2 [2].
