Inunawa ang imahe o dalumat ng bayani sa kasalukuyan mula taong 1986, panahon ng pagkilala sa maraming bayani ng martial law, hanggang sa kasalukuyang taong 2012. Napili ang saklaw ng panahon bilang ang mga panahong ito ang pinaka-makabuhuluhan para sa pag-aaral habang siya ring pinakamalapit sa mga kalahok maging sa mananaliksik na nabibilang sa kasalukuyang henerasyon. Inunawa ang kaisipan ng mga kabataang Pilipino ukol sa kabayanihan bilang pagsisiyasat sa salitang bayani sa kasalukuyan. Kaugnay ng pagsisiyasat na ito sa dalumat ng bayani sa kasalukuyan ang mga implikasyon sa kasalukuyang henerasyon ng kabataang Pilipino at lipunang ginagalawan.

The issue that this paper seeks to tackle is what philosophers think to be the greatest moral cha... more The issue that this paper seeks to tackle is what philosophers think to be the greatest moral challenge of our time namely the flawed conception of morality itself. This paper draws out its arguments from the article titled “The Greatest Moral Challenge of Our Time? It’s How We Think about Morality Itself” published by Tim Dean on March 12, 2018. The central concepts that were presented in the said article, which what we will be talking about furthermore in this paper, are morality, dogmatism, diversity, tolerance, and social living. The central value that has been posed by the article is morality not as a black-and-white end to measure the acceptability of a deed, a person/groups of person but as “a set of rules that reduce harm and help us live together effectively”.
This paper poses the main argument that: (1) Morality should be geared towards mutual respect, tolerance and peace despite differences; (2) Divine-inspired moralities should not be taken out of the picture of morality, hence enrich the concept of morality and values; and (3) Christianity as a set of moral standard is a good example of a divine-inspired morality that is not dogmatic and hence gears towards respecting, being tolerant, and being peaceful towards others who does not share the same religion or moral standard -- a proof that divine-inspired moral standards are not all dogmatic and that divine-inspired set of moral standards can also be timely to cure the greatest moral challenge of our time which is dogmatism and lack of respect and unity among different beliefs and people.

Pinatutunayan ng Kasaysayan ang siklo at pagpapatuloy ng agawang materyal ng tao, lalo na ang agawan sa kapangyarihan ng naghahari at pinaghaharian. Maging ang 'Panginoon ng Israel' ay makikitang 'nakatuon sa mga makatuwiran at mga mapang-api sa kalupaan', naninibugho sa kawalang-hustisya sa kalupaan, at handang disiplinahin ang kalupaan ng Israel sa pamamagitan ng hustisya. 1 Sa sinaunang pamayanang Pilipino naman, makikita sa 'trial by ordeal' na sistema 1 Pinakaakmang halimbawa dito ang libro ng Isaiah. ng paglilitis noon ang mataas at ganap (absolute) na pagtingin sa Hustiysang si Bathala at/o ang mga anito ang nagbibigay. Maging sila at ang kanilang mga nabuong ideya ukol sa pagkakapantay-pantay at rebolusyon ay nag-uugat sa kagustuhan ng hustisya o Katarungan. Katarungan-tila isa nga itong nawawalang piyesa sa malabo't madilim ng mundo lalo na ng Pilipinas. Mula duplo hanggang balagtasan ay makikita ang pagbubulay-bulay ng mga Pilipino sa Katuwiran, tanda ng pagkauhaw at paghahanap ng mga Pilipino sa Katarungan. 2 Mas maaaninag pa ang paghahanap ng mga Pilipino sa liwanag at Katuwiran sa mga akdang pampanitikan noong panahon ng Rebolusyong 1896 partikular na ang "Liwanag at Dilim" ni Emilio Jacinto. 3 Gayunpaman, ang paghahanap sa liwanag at Katuwiran ay hindi natapos sa Rebolusyong 1896. Mahihinuha ang patuloy na pagkauhaw ng mga Pilipino sa naturang liwanag at Katuwiran sa pagpapatuloy ng mga panitikang tumatalakay sa kaapihan. This study is an introductory research which focuses on mainstream school teachers’ concept of th... more This study is an introductory research which focuses on mainstream school teachers’ concept of the word ‘Autism’. With descriptive design as the main research design that was used by the researcher, this study serves only as an attempt to evaluate assumptions regarding mainstream school teachers’ knowledge and education towards SpEd and learners with special needs. It only aims to come up with an objective understanding of a phenomena or a concept based on actual data and conditions collected from the respondents, which are sources of primary data. Therefore, this research seeks only to reflect partially actual conditions, events or phenomena in the Philippine society -- like how mainstream school teachers (who comprises the majority of teacher population in the Philippines and who might represent the mainstream mindset of Filipino educators towards autism) might perceive the said condition -- and functions as a beginning analysis and attempt to evaluate the readiness of mainstream schools in the Philippines to accommodate children with special needs, as one of the key characteristics of a global classroom.
In lieu of the K+12 curriculum which has been newly adopted in the Philippine Educational System ... more In lieu of the K+12 curriculum which has been newly adopted in the Philippine Educational System to hopefully better the education of our country and of the stakeholders specifically students in depressed areas in this fast-changing world, the writer of this paper presents critical points on Philippine Educational System specifically on current problems on practices, teaching method, pedagogy, and student learning. For the most part of the paper, the writer presented problems through reflection and careful analysis of points backed up with some research. This paper does not create concepts or offer solutions but only presents problems and inquiries to create reflections, realization and inferences that might not have been thought of at these times due to too much familiarization with the current questionable teaching practices and mindset in the country nowadays. To simplify it, the end goal of this paper is to open the reader's mind to issues concerning Philippine Education today and to offer the reader a point of view regarding the issues discussed.
