Ernest Francis Jones
Ernest Francis Jones is an experienced professional with over twenty years of leadership in the international sector. During this twenty-year period, he has been employed by several dissimilar top-tier organizations. Additionally, having been employed outside his native land for over two decades has contributed substantially to his intercultural effectiveness.
Mr. Jones holds a Master of Science in agricultural education and communication from the Kansas State University; a Master of Science in economics focused on human development and food security from the Università degli studi Roma Tre (Italy); a postgraduate certificate in technical writing and professional communication from the Kansas State University, and a B.A. from the American University (USA). In addition to the above, he has completed a postgraduate coursework in research methodologies, public budgeting, and the use of written texts in international organizations. Currently, he is preparing a manuscript for a refereed journal based on the primary research conducted for his most recent thesis.
Prior to dedicating time to pursuing his academic interests, Mr. Jones was a programme management specialist with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Germany. Before that, he was engaged as senior administrator with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Zimbabwe. Previously, he served as senior adviser to the executive director of the International Criminal Court’s Trust Fund for Victims, and as chief of budget at the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands among other top-tier international entities.
Presently, he serves as a board member to the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) while preparing for his doctoral studies.
