The aversion to single currency is due to a lack of information about it: the governments did not deal with this subject. Since 2008, the self-perceived information level about the euro has increased: seeing the Eurozone countries in crisis, the Poles have deduced that the euro would have also negative consequences in their economy. Therefore, at the same time as the increase of self-perceived information level regarding the euro, there has been a reduction in the percentage of support to the euro. Self-perceived information increased because of an empirical perception, not for an increase in the level of effective knowledge about the euro. Methodology: -Understanding of the process of introduction of the Euro currency -Analysis of the Polish case: economic criteria, national legislation with the purpose of replacing the current national currency with the Euro. -Consultation from data by the Flash Eurobarometer numbers 440 and 377
