Various internal and external factors influence a company's ability to comply with such sustainability standards. This study specifically examines the connection between a company's sustainable supply chain operations and a crucial internal factor, namely leadership. It focuses on comparing and contrasting the impacts of transformational and transactional leadership on green supply chain management (GSCM) and the overall sustainable performance of the company. Using a quantitative approach, the author conducted surveys among employees and managers and utilized structural equation modeling to analyze the model. The findings indicate that transformational leadership significantly impacts GSCM practices and sustainable organizational performance (OSP). However, the association between transactional leadership and GSCM is relatively weak. Additionally, it is observed that GSCM positively contributes to OSP. The results emphasize the importance of upper-level management involvement in green initiatives, particularly GSCM, to enhance the company's environmental performance and ensure its long-term sustainability. Highlights 1) Transformational leadership serves as a driving factor in ensuring sustainability in a firm supply chain performance. 2) Transactional leadership has a relatively weak role in organizational sustainable supply chain performance. 3) A firm's sustainable supply chain performance strengthens its capabilities to improve its environmental performance. 4) A firm's Top management must take constructive measures to ensure sustainability in their supply chain for improved environmental performance.

However, this objective cannot be achieved without capitalizing on green knowledge and innovation. The purpose of this study is to examine whether green knowledge management (GKM) strengthens organizational green innovation capabilities, leading to green performance. Moreover, considering culture as the buffering condition, the authors took it as the conditional boundary between GKM and green innovation and investigated if it impacts their relationship. Design/methodology/approach The authors focused on the manufacturing and services firms’ managerial and non-managerial staff and collected data following the non-probability convenience sampling technique. The collected data were examined through structural equation modeling. Findings It is found that GKM is a significant positive predictor of organizational green innovation and green performance and strengthens their abilities in these areas. However, green innovation partially mediates between GKM and corporate green performance. It is also found that green culture strengthens the relationship between GKM and organizational green innovation. Originality/value This study’s findings provide confidence to organizational managers and related stakeholders to achieve sustainability goals by capitalizing on GKM and promoting green culture in their setup. This study is also among the pioneer studies investigating GKM as a unified system and linking it with environmental performance domains.

The sharp resource consumption by manufacturing firms predominantly causes them to meet public demands and maximize their revenue. The United Nations (UN) has urged businesses to follow eco-friendly practices to protect and revive nature. In this regard, it is imperative to investigate which factors facilitate firms in achieving the UN sustainable development goals. Using the lens of the stakeholder theory, this study delves into investigating the role of environmental and organizational factors in firms' green innovation and sustainable development activities. Considering the imperative role of organizational capabilities to absorb and capitalize on the knowledge, the authors took knowledge absorptive capacity (KAC) as the moderating variable in the main model. The authors received data from manufacturing firms in Turkey and analyzed it through the PLS-SEM technique. It is found that organizational and environmental factors significantly help firms achieve green innovation and sustainable development goals. Moreover, the organizational capacity to absorb knowledge bolsters the relationship between the main hypotheses. However, an insignificant moderating role of KAC was identified between environmental factors and sustainable development. Considering environmental and organizational factors as driving forces of firm performance, this study links them with green innovation and sustainable development activities by integrating KAC as an acute boundary condition. The findings provide practical implications to industrialists and stakeholders for complying with the United Nations' sustainable development goals by capitalizing on studied variables.

I... more Technological advancement plays a critical role in the development of industries and economies. It also has a direct impact on the operations and performance of workers. Technological modernization not only eliminates some jobs but also leads to the creation of new opportunities and labor markets. The present study aims to examine the impact of the fourth industrial revolution, namely, Industry 4.0, on the performance and survival of workers in developing regions, specifically Pakistan. The literature and studies indicated that technological advancement in the industry substitutes a large number of occupations with routine tasks, both in cognitive and manual formats, while for some jobs it has a positive impact. It is also found that developing soft skills and training of workers plays an essential role in the survival and success of workers in Industry 4.0. It is suggested that developing countries, such as Pakistan, can address the impacts of Industry 4.0 by analyzing future trends and by formulating policies to

Company owners and the Government of China are exploring factors which could help them overcome the issues relating to sale, reputation, and brand image. Nonetheless, the investigation of company export performance factors in the automobile sector of China has largely been ignored. However, authors of this chapter conducted a literature review on factors of firm export performance. Therefore, the conceptual framework has found the factors of firm export performance such as total quality management (TQM), entrepreneurial orientation (EO), export market orientation (EMO), and brand orientation (BO) based on resource-based theory. This research believes that the proposed factors can increase the firm export performance of China automobile industry. The future studies should validate the proposed research framework empirically in the context of the Chinese automobile industry.

In the current study, the author analysed how TQM affects corporate sustainability. Considering the importance of knowledge management (KM) in the present era’s business strategies, the author took KM as a mediating variable and examined how the relationship between TQM and corporate sustainable development (CSD) is mediated by KM. The author also examined how KM impacts green innovation which is believed to be a key enabler for CSD. Six core constructs of TQM, namely leadership, strategic planning, process management, customer focus, information and analysis and human resource management have been taken from the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award (MBNQA). CSD has been measured through three constructs, namely environmental, social and economic sustainability. KM has been measured through four constructs, namely knowledge creation, acquisition, sharing and application. Green innovation has been measured two constructs, namely green technological innovation and green management innovation. Using the non-probability convenience sampling technique, the author collected data from junior, middle and senior manager of medium and large manufacturing and services firms located in five prominent business cities in Pakistan. The author followed the multivariate statistical technique, followed by structural equation modelling (SEM) to analyse the causal relationship between the variables. The empirical analyses indicated that TQM significantly impacts CSD. TQM also found to have a significant and positive impact on KM. The analysis of the mediation effect indicated significant results, indicating the partial mediation caused by KM in the relationship between TQM and CSD. The analysis of KM on green innovation also indicated significant positive results. The dimensional analysis indicated an insignificant impact of TQM on knowledge creation and KM also indicated an insignificant impact on social sustainability. All the other dimensions indicated significant and positive results. Moreover, KM is also found to have a significant and positive impact on corporate green performance. During the contextual analysis, environmental sustainability indicated significant result concerning industry-type and social sustainability indicated significant result concerning the firm size. The current study provides valuable insights to the managers of manufacturing and services firms concerning the role of TQM in achieving corporate sustainability and KM. It also enriches the inadequate literature on the relationship between the studied variables and highlights prospects for future researches.
