Airbag are placed at the point of risk of passenger collision so that the impact load generated from this impact will be muted by airbags of the passenger. This research is designed to be able to perform rescue function not only for passenger, but also for vehicle itself. Because the placement of the airbags was placed on the bumper of vehicle, this part is installed with a high sensitivity sensor to be able to provide information to the system. So the airbags can expand before a impact occurs and the vehicle and its contents will be protected. ECU will send a signal to the squib inflator or also known as an igniter which is an electrical device in the form of a thin bridge cable, igniter will generate heat to burn propylene airbags which will produce nitrogen gas.

The study begins by providing speed variations on the engine sprocket, calculating the working capacity of the machine, and analysing the power requirements of the electric motor. The results showed that the engine sprocket could perform an optimal rotation speed for punching holes in plastic mulch. Most holes were created in the treatment with a rotational speed of 70 rpm, 16 holes per 5 m of plastic mulch. Overall, the performance of the plastic mulch punching machine has been able to provide fixes in making holes in mulch plastic. Of the three treatments, the speed variations of the plastic mulch punching machine provided perforations with the criteria of perfect and partial perforation. This energy can be used for electricity generation, cooling, and/or drying. One technology that is still under development is the use of solar concentrators. Therefore, our paper aims to measure the performance of the development of a solar collection unit coated with mirror paper. Furthermore, the data is compared with the test data for solar concentrators without mirror paper that was carried out by previous researchers in 2019. The method used in this research is a field experiment. A simple statistical comparison method was carried out on the experimental data. Field testing was conducted after the solar concentrator was coated with mirror paper. The test was carried out for 5 days in full shining sun conditions in Sukabumi Regency, Indonesia. The surface coating of the solar concentrator with mirror paper has not been able to improve the performance of the solar concentrator satisfactorily. Solar concentrators can heat the fluid from its initial average temperature of 19.37 %.

With the development of technology on computers today there is a lot of software that can be used to repair and repair components[2]. The use of V Plow is most applied in belt conveyor transportation systems in power plants with coal fuel. Where the function of the V plow is as a coal plow divider in the conveyor belt before entering the inlet chute. The case that happens a lot inside is what is scattered around the inlet chute, which caused uneven plow rate when passing V plow. This research was conducted to provide the right solution in the construction process of V Plow. By using CFD, we can simulate the flow rate of coal when passing V Plow, you can find out the most optimal forms to produce uniform plows. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has been successfully applied to evaluate potential dust emissions from bulk material transfer chutes[3]. The implementation of appropriate models and modelling parameters is shown to be critical to the overall accuracy of the simulation results. In this study is the relationship between wide and long angles between V Plow diverter and cleaning of conveyor belts in the conditions of 2 (two) dimensions. The results of this study indicate that V Plow is a diverter with a large opening angle and Plow plate whose length produces optimal plows. This research is expected to be a reference for the application of V Plow in the field, especially in industries that use V Plow and Belt Conveyor as a means to the transportation of raw materials.

If the performance of the cooling system is not optimal, it will affect the engine performance and electricity production. One of the problems in the cooling system is the damage to the radiator fins which makes the heat dissipation process in the cooling system not optimal. In conducting this study, the method used to obtain the root cause of the problem is by using the fault tree analysis (FTA) method. Based on the existing data, the results of the study show that the cause of damage to the radiator is due to corrosion. According to this study, it can be concluded that the damage to the PLTD radiator fin is caused by the corrosion factor due to the poor quality of the water used for cleaning.

Nevertheless, the energy consumption of the oven is very high. This is caused by its use which only uses one until three samples in one measurement. Therefore an oven which is more suitable for this need is called a mini-oven. The mini oven will be equipped with a mechanism to measure the weight of the sample during heating. Which one of barrier in designing the oven is to uniformity the temperature of the oven chamber. So that, the purpose of this study is to optimize the uniform temperature of the mini-oven via computational fluid dynamic (CFD) approach. In this work, engineering drawings from mini-oven ware represented as a scenario and provided simulation data. The strategy consisted of 3-D CFD simulations at different temperatures and geometrical variants of the internal baffle plate. Results proved that the baffle plate geometry has not exerted significant an important temperature influence in the reduction of the non-uniformity for temperature.

The objectives of the research are to obtain the roughness surface level of plastic material resu... more The objectives of the research are to obtain the roughness surface level of plastic material resulted from turning process and to find out the effect of some elements of the machinning process to the surface roughness level. The material used are thermoplastic type which consist of polypropylene (PP) and polyvinilcloride (PVC), while the thermosetting plastic is consist of unsaturated polyester resin (UPPRs). The research design is divided into four steps; forming raw material, turning the specimen and roughness test and result analysis. PP and PVC specimens are formed with extrution machine and UPRs castingly. For each type of plastic is formed two specimens with dimension of 0 25 mm × 90 mm. The specimen are being turning gradually for 15 mm length. Machinning parameters are confined to 5 mm/sec feed with depth of cut 0.4 and 0.2 mm and speed are 350 rpm, 450 rpm, 550 rpm, 650 rpm, 750 rpm and 850 rpm. The result of the research shows the level of surface roughness of the plastic materials PP, PVC and UPRs had to decrease after the turning process. The level of surface roughness of these material after turning process around at the level N7 and N8. The machinibility of materials PP better than the PVC and UPRs materials.

To find out the cause of cracks in the cold forging production process, analysis of failure is done with the Fault Tree Analysis method, the variables carried out in implementing the Fault Tree Analysis analysis method, data collection, test initial material characteristics to determine the mechanical properties, metallographic testing to determine the quality of the initial material, calculation of force, stress, strain. The results of the force calculation show that crack defects are caused by high stress / stress concentrations in the station 3 formation process because the punch corner has no radius (rounding). The conclusion of the analysis of the root of the problem of crack defects in the process of forming cold forming M14 nuts was due to the punch design tool not having a radius profile. The results of these data collection and testing variables were applied in the failure tree diagram, so it was concluded that the cause of the M14 nut cold forging crack was design tools punch

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan solusi yang terbaik dalam perencanaan pembuatan suatu komponen V Flow. Dengan menggunakan CFD, kita dapat mensimulasikan aliran batu bara pada saat melewati V Flow, sehingga kita dapat mengetahui bentuk konstruksi yang paling optimal untuk menghasilkan laju aliran yang seragam. Currently there are many washing machines manufactured by products on the market with one-tube and two-tube types that use electrical energy and digital modules as their operating tools. In this study, the application of CVT (Continuously Variable Transmition) in Mechanical Drive Washing Machines is designed, which utilizes human power as a resource so that it can reduce the use of electrical energy and can save costs besides that it can also be a means of exercise. The washing machine tube rotation is generated from the pedal stroke, which is passed from the sprocket or chain ring to the CVT which then goes to the pinion gear as changing the axial CVT rotation position to radial to rotate the washing tube.
