Did you see that coming? Here are a couple of other points to know when it comes to refinishing your 90’s floors. 1. In my experience, if you are using an oil based sealant, the best way to cover the red oak is to go darker. I’ve heard the same advice from multiple floor refinishes as well. 2. If you really want lighter floors you might want to consider a different product or replacing them all together. 3. These floors receive a lot of light.
