Here’s a simple one I often use: • 1 cup of joint compound (also known as sheetrock or drywall compound in some countries) • 2 tablespoons of modeling paste • 2 teaspoons of craft paint These measurements are just approximations. If your paste feels too thick, add more paint or modeling paste. If it’s too thin, simply add more joint compound. For a step-by-step guide on how to perfect your texture paste, check out the link in my bio for my mini course on making texture paste. I can’t wait to see the art you create! Feel free to DM me with your designs. 💕💕 Be sure to follow for more teacher tips and daily inspo💕💕 #TextureArt #TexturedPainting #ArtPaste #MixedMediaArt #DIYArtSupplies #CreativeProcess #AbstractTextures #ArtTutorial #ArtInspirationDaily #TexturedArtwork | Textures By Dani

13K views · 11K reactions | I found the cute saucer in a antique mall. I’ve been looking around and thinking of different objects that would make interesting textures. It’s the first time adding the design on the top of the razzo. So I when a little air bubble popped up underneath the saucer. I had to think of a quick solution. I thought if I coat the saucer before placing in the mold it might help. It was all fun and experiments. @totalboat razzo #texture #bubble #saucer #experiment #dish #ringdish #homedecor #process #etsy | Jennifer Chapman

433K views · 5.4K reactions | Part 1 | Homemade Air Dry Clay Make your own air dry using three ingredients you (probably) already have in your kitchen! I call this the “cauliflower rice” of air dry clay. It is homemade, which makes it really fun, but it doesn’t have the longevity that a mass produced clay has. That being said, I still have an artwork I made four years ago and it has held up beautifully. Baking Soda 2 cups. Cornstarch 1 cup. Cold Water 1 1/4 cups. ***I compulsively added a little bit of Elmer’s glue. #homemade #diy #diyprojects #airdryclay #clay #clayrecipe #clayathome #clayart #homemadeclay #modelingclay | That Art Teacher

Bonus: they’re super easy and fun for kids to make, too! Here’s how to create your own: 1️⃣ Mix 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup cornstarch, and 3/4 cup water in a pot. 2️⃣ Cook over medium heat, stirring until it thickens to a mashed potato-like consistency. 3️⃣ Remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes. Add your favorite essential oil—I used 30 drops of candy cane for a pepperminty touch! 4️⃣ Roll out the dough and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Use a straw to create holes for hanging. 5️⃣ Let them dry overnight, and voilà—beautiful ornaments that double as air fresheners! These make the perfect handmade touch for your tre
