This research examined the listening ability of students using English songs. The rationale for picking this subject is based on hearing capacity. Listening to music has been a favorite habit for young people right now. You have so many music listening applications that can make you listen to music everywhere. Spotify is becoming a successful music listening application for music for young people. Any of them listen to local music using Spotify. Spotify not only provides music, it also provides this song with lyrics. Such programs can become an enjoyable way to develop vocabulary and communication skills. Any learners are finding it hard to master. This can be seen in the writer teaching students a lack of comprehension skills in their vocabulary while listening to music. The goal of this research was to evaluate the efficacy of using English songs to enhance the listening skills of students and to understand the attitudes of students towards enhancing their listening skills using English songs. In this case, the author wants to do research on the Spotify application in order to develop the listening skills of learners by songs in the Spotify application, along with the times that are fitted with technical maturity and the sophistication of Android today and also give positive values to students.

This journal take the enciting topic connected to language acquisition, it discuss about some relations between first language or mother tounge (L1) and second language (L2). This kind of research has been focused for decades. In this jounal, the writer want to know how the first language (L1) impact to the second language (L2). It's finding prove that the students that should use English for communication still get impact from their first language (L1). The impacts includes the term in English. Such as : syntax, phonology and morphology. In my opinion, this journal is informative and attractive because it takes the topic that many people want and should know. The author take the topic first language (L1) that human bring from childhood has impact to the students that isn't mandatory to know about English because it's not their daily language but it usually taught in their school. It happens in some countries like Indonesia, Japan, and China, still certain the beliefs that the gold standard to be achieved is the competence of native speaker (Fithriani,2018). So that, this research created to browse the interruption of first language (L1) for the second language (L2) of a Chinese's student in of the university in US. It means that the first language (L1) is Chinese and the (L2) is English. The researcher's aim to know linguistics aspects of Chinese student that interrupt his acquisition of English.
