Greeks and are mostly depicted as their enemies. In the works of Herodotus, Ovid and others we meet a few famous amazons that we are going to talk about briefly in the following pages – Atlanta, Antiope, Hippolyta, Pentezelea, Talestris and others. According to most ancient historians the amazons lived on the south bank of the Black Sea, after that they were loaded and ships that crashed on the north side. This is how we can connect the mythic amazons with the real life 6thc. BC (up until the 4thc. AD) woman warriors that lived in those lands. In our days more and more frequently we find graves of woman warriors, mostly from Scythian or Sarmatian origin in lands of modern day Ukraine, Russia and the region.
The study presents the commemoration of the feast of Tryphon Zarezan in Bulgaria.
The article presents a tour guide speech on "The attitude towards animals in Islam".

According to the ancient Greeks the Thracian tribes were the first ones to cultivate and produce vino. It was used not only in their everyday life, but also during various rituals. In the Middle Ages it was banned and the vineyards were torn out, but this law didn’t survive for long. In modern days there are four big wine themed events that are taking place in Plovdiv – Vinarya, Wine and Gourmet, Mavrud days and the Young Wine Parade. In the close proximity of the city and in it there are over ten wineries that offer wine tastings and tours. When you combine all of the given assets for wine tourism in Plovdiv and the region it is no surprise that the city was voted as the European Wine Destination of 2022.
