Com foco na geração dos Millenials, realizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória através do método survey com estudantes de graduação de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior Federal no Brasil. Em ordem de importância, nos resultados, os estudantes apontaram o professor facilitar o processo educativo, estimular o pensamento crítico dos estudantes e a promoção de um ambiente dinâmico para o ensino-aprendizagem como competências primordiais.

Problem-based learning (PBL) is a teaching method that encourages the student´s proactivity to re... more Problem-based learning (PBL) is a teaching method that encourages the student´s proactivity to reason, in order to seek solutions to the problem in question. This article aims to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of using the PBL method for top level students in business areas. In order to meet the objective, a questionnaire was prepared from the literature studied and sent to 375 students, with a return rate of 19%. The main results show that 74% of the respondents consider that the practical classes contribute to the memorization of the content, 93% of the respondents consider it an opportunity for personal and social formation, besides promoting the sharing of knowledge and improvement in decision-making. It also found that 83% feel more protagonists in the PBL method and more than 81% feel more engaged in their own learning. As a result, it was possible to identify a favorable perception of the learning method that leads and engages the student. This research also allows us to conclude that the PBL is, in fact, perceived as a more current and innovative method by students.

It is argued that educators would benefit from a deeper familiarity with the metacognitive approach if they worked with students to foster a belief that education has the potential to inspire a lifelong curiosity for discovery and improvement. This article therefore provides a synthesis of the analysis of the outcomes of implementing metacognition-based pedagogical approaches (N = 83), published between 2016 and 2021. The concept of the Second Cybernetics, exhibit in 1963 by Magoroh Maruyama, proposed a different ... more The concept of the Second Cybernetics, exhibit in 1963 by Magoroh Maruyama, proposed a different way of evaluating the relationship between the variables existing in a system, postulating that there is a permanent imbalance between them, opposing the "first" cybernetics of static equilibrium, therefore, the relevance of this study is to demonstrate that the paradigm of contemporary information science has the aforementioned concept in its epistemology. This scientometric research analyzed to what extent the Second Cybernetics permeates contemporary science, through the identification of scientific publications that use it as a reference. Data were obtained from the Web of Science, SCOPUS and JSTOR databases, considering the years 1963 to 2021. The compilation of this corpus was carried out using the Bibliometrix software version 4.0.0 and the collection and extraction was carried out directly with resources available in the indicated databases. The results of the study showed that the concept of the Second Cybernetics is referenced in 980 articles, generating influence in the scientific environment with new publications every year; indexed articles in the areas of Social Sciences and Human Sciences account for 69.1% of the research carried out under this influence; the concept is present in all eight areas of knowledge defined by Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).

This article aims to identify the key authors and the theoretical foundations’ delineation of Lav... more This article aims to identify the key authors and the theoretical foundations’ delineation of Lave and Wenger’s concept of Communities of Practice (CoPs) and its relationship with the learning theory. This exploratory and descriptive study applied a qualitative approach and bibliographic research based on Lave and Wenger’s (1991) publication “Situated Learning: Legitimate Peripheral Participation”. All 48 references indicated in their research and the perceived relevance the authors have in academia. Data analysis was conducted using bibliometric and content analysis techniques with the aid of the NVivo software. The results showed the relevance of the key authors to the academy based on their number of publications, citation analysis, h-index, fields of study and contributions to those fields. We also identified that the concept of Communities of Practice is interdisciplinarity amongst anthropology, sociology, and psychology.
Spain and Brazil have played two significant roles in the field of higher education through inter... more Spain and Brazil have played two significant roles in the field of higher education through inter-university cooperation; on the one hand, highly updated contents relating to sustainability and, on the other hand, an innovative system for the evaluation of education through competencies. This chapter presents an analysis of the model of integral sustainable administration. This model combines social, economic and environmental factors based on the most outstanding contributions in this topic, and coins the concept of “socioecosustainability” as a necessary model for the 21st century. Furthermore, an educational process on the basis of the model of climate change is evaluated. Conclusions provide useful recommendations in order to improve higher education around sustainability from the point of view of acquiring fundamental competencies for the development of professionals in truly sustainably organizations.

It aims to analyze the role of Information and Communications Technologies, through electronic government and electronic governance solutions, as inducers of organizational learning and knowledge in the Brazilian public sector and its society. Its methodology has qualitative nature, theoretical, characterized by bibliographical and documentary analysis of the topic. As a obtained result, it was found that a form of the society organizational learning is through public governance, through interaction between the state and citizens, with support of the Information and Communications Technologies. It is concluded that the citizen, holder of knowledge about their public management becomes empowered with the ability to fully exercise their citizenship and influence the decision making of their political representatives.

Faced with the challenges brought by the Millennials and their successors in higher education as ... more Faced with the challenges brought by the Millennials and their successors in higher education as well as a constantly evolving world, it is essential that the teacher develop the skills necessary for the teaching and learning process of these generations to succeed. In this context, this article aims to identify which competencies of the teacher in higher education are necessary to mobilize the learning of Millennials and their successors. It consists of an exploratory, literature review study based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews) method. It analyzes 18 scientific papers, published between 2007 and 2018 in the databases EBSCOhost, ProQuest, Scopus and Web of Science, which discuss the theme of this research. It identifies that teachers in higher education should develop eight main competencies: facilitating the educational process, stimulating critical thinking of students, using active methodologies, improving the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for learning, promoting a dynamic environment for teaching-learning, planning the development of education, defining strategies for assessment of learning and applying model of partnership in the educational process.

In addition, Lean Office can promote changes in the corporate environment and drive organizational learning. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze the Lean Office factors that contribute to the organizational learning. Design/methodology/approach The method consists in a qualitative analysis of researches on Lean Office carried out in Brazil, based on the theoretical framework for analyzing organizational learning proposed by Argote and Miron-Spektor (2011). Este estudo tem como objetivo demonstrar uma prática educacional de intervenção pedagógica em conjunto com uma análise comparativa da aprendizagem a partir da informação transmitida em duas estratégias diferentes – com e sem suporte tecnológico, a sequência didática e instrução realizada junto ao Programa Especial de Formação Pedagógica - Curitiba. A metodologia aplicada é abordagem qualitativa e os instrumentos utilizados para a coleta de dados à observação, o registro e a aplicação de um teste avaliativo que envolveu questões fechadas de múltipla escolha.
