Almost two months after lawyer #UmeshPal , a witness in Raju Pal murder was killed in a sensational shootout, UPSTF on Thursday killed gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad's son Asad Ahmad and his accomplice in UP's #Jhansi.

Encounter of Asad happened when Atiq Ahmad and his brother were produced before a court here on Thursday in connection with the Umesh Pal murder case. They were presented in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Dinesh Gautam around 11:10 am amid security deployment.
On hearing the news of Asad Ahmed's encounter, #AtiqAhmed started crying bitterly in the court.

Not only Asad, Ghulam has also been shot dead in the same encounter, Ghulam was the co-accused of Umesh Pal.
Both Asad and Ghulam had a reward of Rs 5 lakh on their heads.

According to police sources, Asad Ahmed had fled to Lucknow after the killing of Umesh Pal. He later moved to Kanpur and then Meerut before reaching Delhi, it is learnt. He then decided to flee to Madhya Pradesh.
He reached Jhansi and was on his way to the state border on a bike when police intercepted him. Asad was reportedly in disguise. Police sources said they had an informer in Atiq Ahmed's gang who told them about Asad's whereabouts.
