Almost a little overlooked at this point, consistently good stride length timing the snap well puts a lot of pressure on OL in their sets. Shows solid play speed when K&Ding, w/+body control and timing for UoH early in down
2nd best technician in class (Bosa #1), lot of arrows in quiver to beat OL on both high and low side. Power combos w/+Long Arm or ++UoH can collapse pockets early. Club move dominated at times to smaller OL. Nasty swim move/twitch vs oversets
Play Strength impressive & cant find on stat sheet. Capable of violently picking interior OL as 2pt 3t Driver in Stunts w/+burst shooting hands through pads at PoA.
Slightly upright, little stiff in lower through mid body. But quick feet adjusts well for COD (basketball/soccer background). Very comfortable in space asked to drop as flat Zone defender. Would even cover down to 2 ITB. Trustworthy here.
Has good habits constantly plays long w/arms extended, able to set edge vs. SEC OTs. He can bump down to 4i or even Heavy 5t if need be, plays w/good play speed reading keys quickly
Project schematic flexibility on the outside for him to immediately be able to Box or Spill fits as edge. 3 down player who can set edge, or find ways to recover when overmatched by high level competition.
No one rises to low expectations. Both playoff games he had stretches of taking over games in multiple facts. High motor player. Note Clemson liked to shift late towards the snap, often was to give him space for 2 way goes on passing downs
Dealt w/lot of adversity injury-wise and personal loss wise (Father died in 9th grade). Demonstrated leadership/maturity at very young age. See notes from @JReidNFL draft guide (cover1.net/jordan-reid-20…) or @MoveTheSticks 360 series
Lower/Mid body stiffness mentioned reduced bend and fluidity in some moves. Note he has gained over 40 lbs of muscle in recent years, so frame prob maxed out but is flexibility next level change to improve?
Combine numbers were not what analytics wanted… toe injury prevented him from running/caused issues in both Indy and at Pro-Day
