In ancient society, the role of philosophy, search for wisdom and quest for an ideal society pred... more In ancient society, the role of philosophy, search for wisdom and quest for an ideal society predominated much of the thoughts, writings and teaching but none more than the Greek society. In the Greek society philosophy was the prime of the sciences and fullest possible human enlightment phase and non-emphasised this more than Plato in his book the republic and its discrptive rule by philosopher kings. This essay therefore labours at discussing Plato's justification of the rule of philosopher kings. In an effort to discuss this, the essay defines a philosopher king, outlines his unique qualities, training, lifestyle and education which shall form the backbone and summary of our discussion on the points of justifications raised by plato of the rule of the philosopher king, a conclusion will the follow to sum up the entire essay.

We live in world of pain misery and hardships, a world laden with anxiety, loss and misfortune. W... more We live in world of pain misery and hardships, a world laden with anxiety, loss and misfortune. We live amid fiery trials, temptations and tribulations in homes, at work, in schools and even in places of worship. We often long for days of relief as we cry, pray, hope, wish, dream and wonder through and through. In a world of hopelessness, helpless and hardships we can find hope, power, healing and strength. This book was born in trial, written through trials and published to help shed a beam of light and hope to other tempted souls. It was written not to answer the entire questions we have about trial, temptations and tribulations but to share experience and help give some hope to some souls going through trying times. For Solomon in Ecclesiastes 9:4 says “For to him that is joined to the living there is hope for a living dog is better than a dead lion.”
