What is Pomotown? 

Pomotown is a Pomodoro timer, which uses gamification to push you into the Pomodoro method. Your curiosity about which character will join your town next, will motivate you to start the next cycle. Furthermore the feeling of multiple small characters working at the same time like you, setup a focus  atmosphere.

What is Pomodoro?

Pomodoro is a focus technique, which supports you to focus on a specific task. You setup a 25 minute timer and only work on that task, everything disturbing (e.g. e-mail, Insta, X/Twitter, WhatsApp) is pushed into the break time afterwards.

Following this method for some time raises your ability to concentrate and gives you a clear idea, what you are able to achieve in only 25 minutes.

Installation 

Windows & Linux

1. Download the latest release from the releases page.
2. Extract the archive.
3. Start the executable.

Mac

1. Download the latest release from the releases page.
2. Open the DMG file.
3. Drag the app to the Applications folder.
4. remove the quarantine flag: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Pomotown.app
