Warpath (G1)
From Transformers Wiki
The name or term "Warpath" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Warpath (disambiguation). |
- Warpath is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Warpath is the stereotypical tank commander: loud, boisterous, skilled, confident, devoted to his buddies, and probably a little deaf. His armor is tremendously thick; his skull no less. He loves to show off by splitting hex nuts a mile and a half away, and he has an endless variety of special munitions to load in his prized main gun: cryogenic, acid, thermal, and sonic. His most favorite, however, are the simple explosive shells that go off with a huge explosion, KABOOM!
His gun... how Warpath loves his gun. Prominent and useful in both modes, she has saved his life countless times, and she gets only the best in return. How he loves to line her sights up precisely on a barely visible target, and KAZOWY! blow it to shrapnel with a single well-placed shell. A dud annoys him; a miss is near-fatal embarrassment. A mere scratch to his gun's barrel keeps him up, late into the night, polishing it away. When on occasion his gun is damaged seriously enough to impair her function, he is practically inconsolable for weeks.

Warpath (ZING!) had a habit of (BLAM!) interjecting his speech with (WHAMMO!) onomatopoeia. Whether this was a programming feature or personal choice is unknown. His fellow Autobots seemed to tolerate it.
Warpath appeared with no explanation for his arrival when Megatron created a remote-controlled duplicate of Optimus Prime to lead the Autobots to their doom. He did little more than get shot by a fake Starscream. A Prime Problem He later accompanied Optimus Prime and the Autobots to Dinobot Island, where he first demonstrated his zest for combat and unique style of speech. He also had the first of several battles with his opposite number, the Triple Changer Decepticon tank, Blitzwing. Dinobot Island, Part 2
After Grapple and Hoist teamed up with the Constructicons to build Grapple's Solar Power Tower and the pair were doublecrossed, Warpath was on the team that drove to their rescue. He started off by blowing up one of the collection units the Decepticons were using to gather the energy. Once the Constructicons formed Devastator, he tried to (WHACK! ZACK! ZORCH!) blast the giant, but Devastator stuck an arm into the ground and knocked him over. After the Autobots defeated Devastator, Warpath helped pick through the remains of the tower for their two comrades. The Master Builders
He was one of several Autobots who defended the Ark when the Heart of Cybertron-powered Megatron attacked. Warpath acquitted himself well, firing several rounds at the Decepticon leader while shrugging off two direct hits from his energy bolts, but he was ultimately put out of action when Megatron blasted the ground under him, trapping Warpath. Microbots
Warpath was on the team that defended the fake solar plan in Central City against the Decepticons. He, Ironhide and Smokescreen fired on Starscream in an attempt to prevent the Decepticon from taking off, and in return found themselves under fire from Thrust. After Megatron framed the Autobots, Warpath was among those who were captured by human forces outside Autobot Headquarters. A brief trial ensued, and the Autobots were put on a spaceship supplied by Shawn Berger and banished from Earth. Megatron's Master Plan, Part 1 Though the spaceship was locked on a collision course with the Sun, the Autobots managed to escape it and return to Earth, where they toppled the Decepticon regime. Megatron's Master Plan, Part 2
On one occasion, Warpath and Hoist were chasing a small group of Decepticons led by Starscream, and ended up passing through the Dragon Mound and into 543 AD. The Autobots and Decepticons took opposite sides with a pair of warring knights, and Warpath allowed the Red Knight to ride him in joust against Wigend of Blackthorn's champions, Rumble and Ramjet. They successfully rammed Ramjet, caving in his nosecone and forcing the Decepticons to fall back on the ol' "grab a hostage and run" trick, taking the Red Knight's daughter Nimue captive. Warpath led the charge against Wigend's castle and, with their siege tower destroyed by some of Starscream's gunpowder barrels, he and Hoist served as makeshift ladders for their allies to breach the castle walls. After thwarting Starscream's plans to rule the 6th century, they enlisted the aid of a local wizard to get back to the 20th century. A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court
Accompanying Perceptor and Beachcomber on a geology expedition, Warpath managed to get in some (ZOW!) action when Blitzwing and the Coneheads staged a surprise attack. He and Blitzwing engaged in Tank Wars again, but the fighting got so furious they buried each other in sand for a while. It was anyone's game until Thrust found a pool of electrum and became invincible. Even a hot and cold mix of Powerglide's thermal beam and Warpath's cryo-shells couldn't break the Decepticon warrior. Warpath was forced to reluctantly sound the retreat, tunneling through the mountainside to make their escape. The Golden Lagoon
When the Morphobots took over a valley on Earth, Warpath and Ironhide did their best to blast through using a variety of shells and liquid, but it took (POW!) Blaster and some (COWBELL!) tunes to really get them out of the way. Quest for Survival
When his Autobot friends were kidnapped, Warpath was eager to go and (BAM!) kick some Decepticon hide. He was distraught when Optimus Prime went to deal with it himself. Prime Target He got his time to shine when he popped up on a movie studio one day, and was hired by the director with the other Autobots to be his new stunt vehicles. Unfortunately, the work was less than glamorous as Warpath wound up with a (ZING!) horrible pain in his neck and then, shocked by the director's attitude, decided to call it quits. Despite this, he was willing to return for a starring role in the new picture Attack of the Alien Robots, where he was confused by the lack of real firepower, couldn't believe the reliance on special effects, and flubbed one of his lines. Warpath didn't enjoy working on the movie and went back to being a full-time Autobot soldier, cheering for Hoist when he made the same decision. (CLAP!) Hoist Goes Hollywood
While the Autobots protected the convoy of superfuel tankers, Warpath drove point. All he did was sit there in vehicle mode the whole time. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1 He was also at Autobot Headquarters when Powerglide reported that he'd found Jazz and Cliffjumper at the Amalgamated Water and Power Plant. Starscream's Brigade
Late in 1985, the Autobots plotted to capture the Stunticons to discover the reason behind their high-profile thefts. Tracks and Warpath were assigned to take down Drag Strip and Dead End on a beach. Warpath quickly disabled Drag Strip with a few well-placed explosive shells, while Tracks blinded Dead End with his black beam gun. Unable to see, Dead End drove right into Warpath, who (BAM!) crushed the Decepticon with a single punch that went straight through his roof. Masquerade
In the year 2006, Warpath watched a broadcast of the first Galactic Olympics. He commented to Bumblebee that the Autobots sure had an unusual leader in Rodimus Prime when the young Autobot dispensed with making a long, stuffy speech at the games' opening ceremony. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1
As the Decepticons made their move on Earth, Warpath and Pipes commanded the team defending the Ark. The Autobots hid in a ravine and as Trypticon passed overhead, Warpath gave orders to fire, significantly damaging the Decepticon's rolling battle station mode. However, Trypticon quickly recovered and transformed into his massive dinosaur mode, forcing the Autobot Minicars to regroup and counterattack. Warpath fired a shell which Trypticon merely swatted away, then when the Autobot protested that he didn't (ZEEM!) believe what was happening, he was kicked for his troubles. Warpath ordered Teletraan I to activate the volcano's defensive cannons as Trypticon neared the Ark, but this had little effect on the Decepticon, who then destroyed the volcano. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 5
Warpath attended Daniel Witwicky's surprise party, however the real surprise came partway through, when he and the other Autobots there were called on to defend the shuttle bay against an attack by the Combaticons. Surprise Party He was later seen stationed at Metroplex when Scourge and Starscream's ghost came by to steal the Titan's eyes for Unicron. Being land-bound, poor ol' Warpath unfortunately missed out on most of the aerial action. Ghost in the Machine

Warpath was amongst the Autobots who once more confronted Megatron and his Decepticons at the Trigger in Earth orbit. When Starscream combined himself with the Trigger to create a powerful new body for himself, Warpath had to contend with the volley of asteroids thrown towards both Autobots and Decepticons from Starscream's star gate. He was then almost sucked into a portal to a black hole when Starscream neared defeat, but was instead sent plummeting down to Earth when Optimus and Megatron worked together to defeat Starscream. Unfortunately for Warpath, he neglected to realize that Blitzwing was several times his size, ultimately being run over by the Decepticon. Warpath was a member of Perceptor's resistance cell on Cybertron. When their untrustworthy scout, Scrounge went missing, Warpath and his peers fell in line with Blaster's plan to find him, overruling Perceptor. After learning Scrounge had been captured by Shrapnel, Blaster went alone to the smelting pool to save him, prompting Powerglide to follow and haul him out while Warpath and the three others distracted the Decepticon guards. When they returned to base, Perceptor's small group of Autobots received the first good news they had heard in eons, for Scrounge had handed them evidence that Optimus Prime lived, at the expense of his own life. The Smelting Pool!
Further reconnaissance revealed startling news—the Decepticons were building a space bridge! As this would spell certain doom for both Cybertron and Earth, a desperate raid on Straxus's Darkmount fortress was launched. Warpath was in charge of setting the explosives which brought down the massive tower. This attack was mostly successful, as it leveled Darkmount and ended in Straxus's destruction, but Warpath and the rest of his Autobot comrades had to retreat to Earth over the Space Bridge as it self-destructed. Here they were greeted immediately by a group of humans. The Bridge to Nowhere! Though Megatron and his troops spotted the Autobots upon their materialization on Earth, the Decepticons were distracted by a more pressing mission at the time, and left without attacking the new arrivals. Command Performances! However, the humans belonged to the anti-robot attack team, RAAT. While Warpath and the other Autobots, unfamiliar with how things worked on Earth, tried to talk to their vehicles, RAAT deployed "electric snow" missiles to disorient them. Warpath's group was then too dazed to fight back, and were captured with the help of Circuit Breaker. Heavy Traffic! Warpath and his fellows were disassembled, with their heads getting mounted on the wall of RAAT's headquarters. Aerialbots over America! The Autobots were only given a chance at freedom after Circuit Breaker was forced to elicit their aid to defeat the Battlechargers. Warpath and the other Autobots' components were combined to form a jury-rigged robot that Circuit Breaker used to stop the duo while they were defacing the status of liberty. After Runabout and Runamuck were sent packing, Warpath and the Autobots were allowed to leave on their own terms. Decepticon Graffiti!
Following Skids back to the Ark, Warpath and the others got lost after their guide spontaneously vanished into limbo. Even worse was the reason for the disappearance—Galvatron had returned to the present. Warpath and Perceptor were the first to fall against their seemingly invincible foe. Fallen Angel After Galvatron was forced into retreat by the vagrant Dinobots, Perceptor's team finally managed to reach the Ark, where Warpath and the others learned of Optimus Prime's apparent demise at the hands of the Predacons. It was soon revealed that Prime's death was a ruse. Resurrection!
Later, after Optimus Prime's real death, Warpath was one of the several Autobots who watched on as Ratchet futilely tried to repair his body. Once the Autobot leader was declared irreparable, the Autobots held a funeral service for their leader, and launched his remains into space. Funeral for a Friend!
Later still, the Ark was put under assault by a sonic scrambler missile fired by the Decepticon assault base known as Trypticon. Warpath destroyed this first missile, and the Autobots went hunting for their attacker. Trypticon would have proven to be too much for them, though, without the timely intervention of Grimlock and the Dinobots. As thanks, the Autobots named Grimlock their new leader. King of the Hill!
Grimlock's leadership turned out to be very unpopular, especially when he captured a group of Earth children and threatened to execute them if Blaster didn't turn himself in for treason. Warpath and a handful of other Autobots watched quietly outside the Ark as the children were marched into space. Spacehikers!
Much later, Warpath, along with all the other Autobots, responded promptly to Buster Witwicky's distress signal sent from the Arctic. Dark Star
Transformers Annual 1985
Realizing that their mission on Earth would be infinitely more difficult without capable human allies, Optimus attempted to open a dialogue with the American government. Planning the meeting in utmost secrecy, he, Warpath, and Prowl managed to secure an audience with the President of the United States. The three Autobots drove to the White House, and were warmly received by their host, but their talk was interrupted by the Insecticons. The Autobots did their best to take down the trio, only for Bombshell to loudly proclaim that Optimus was his leader, and he was off to attack the city as per his orders. Unfortunately, the President's soldier escorts were quick to turn on the Autobots, having assumed that Bombshell had revealed the robots' true intent.
Warpath and Prowl were sent to deal with the Insecticons, while Optimus went off on his own to "cut them off at their source." Though Warpath was confused over what Optimus had just said, Prowl assured him not to bother himself with it; they had a mission to do, and that was the only thing they needed to think about. They drove to downtown Washington, finding that their foes had wasted no time in reducing the scene to a warzone. Worse yet, Prowl was soon downed by one of Shrapnel's splinter grenades. An outraged Warpath rammed Shrapnel, but was unable to prevent him from taking to the air once more. Thankfully, Optimus's Roller drone came to Warpath's aid, evening out the odds. Optimus was successful on his end of the mission, taking out the one responsible for remote-controlling the Insecticons: Ravage. With the battle over, Optimus and his troops fled the scene; they felt that the humans would not believe them should they try and explain the situation, and that the Decepticon had already sullied their reputation beyond repair. Plague of the Insecticons!

Dinobots Strike Back
When four of the Dinobots were sent on a rampage courtesy of Bombshell's cerebro-shells, the Autobots realized that the mind-control devices could be dislodged by bringing "them down, fast and hard!" Decepticon Poison
Warpath was amongst the Autobots getting topped up with their latest batch of fuel when Red Alert burst into Autobot headquarters, warning everyone about Ramjet being spotted nearby. The Autobots’ latest batch of fuel had been poisoned by the fleeing Decepticon, leaving Warpath unable to transform.
If the Autobots decided to assume a defensive strategy in light of these events, Warpath was comforted by Optimus as he began to be wracked with sickness pains.
In one possible sequence of events that ensued, Perceptor gave out the right amount of an antidote the Autobot scientist had created, allowing Warpath to resume his robot form and take arms against an incoming squadron of Decepticons. The antidote having given Warpath and the rest of the cured Autobots a case of battle fever, the bunch were eager to take on the Decepticons head on in combat. The more level-head Prowl suggested instead a more conniving approach, where the Autobots would ambush their assailants.
If Optimus allowed Warpath and the rest of the refuelled Autobots to venture headlong into battle, the group fond themselves fighting against Megatron himself, accompanied by a squad of Decepticon jets. Warpath's acid shells forced the jets accompanying Megatron to disperse. Then Megatron opened fire, knocking the Autobots into disarray, prompting Optimus to lead a second wave into battle. The second wave soon ran out of fuel, prompting the Autobots to call a retreat. Thankfully, the Decepticons were damaged enough through the course of the battle, causing them to retreat as well.
If Optimus instead followed Prowl's plan, he instructed Warpath and the others to transform into vehicle mode and play dead. The Decepticons, believing the Autobots to be already dead, disarmed themselves in order to carry out the Autobots’ “carcasses.” Now with the element of surprise against unarmed opponent, the Autobots Transformed and were able to easily defeat the evil robots.
In another possible turn of events, Perceptor gave out too much of his antidote to each Autobot. Though Warpath initially cheered, finding himself able to transform once more, he soon found himself literally falling to pieces. The Autobots finding themselves completely outmatched against an all-out Decepticon attack were made short work of by the Decepticons.
In yet another possible scenario, the Autobots used the tainted fuel to create a toxic cloud that successfully fended off the Decepticons attack. This plan gave Perceptor the time he needed to cure Warpath and the others with his antidote. Their ranks fully replenished and the Decepticons turning tail meant the Autobots had earned themselves another victory.
In completely different possible sequence of events, Optimus successfully retrieved the antidote to the poison from the Decepticons’ poison lab, and with Ratchet's help, brought Warpath and the rest of the poisoned Autobots back from the precipice of death. Now cured, the Autobots discussed their next course of action; they had to prevent the Decepticons from poisoning the nearby water reservoir.
If Optimus led his troops back to the Decepticons’ poison lab, Warpath was amongst the Autobot convoy that drove into action.
Happening upon the Decepticons hauling barrels of poison out of their lab, the Autobots devised a couple of plans to take them out.
In one plan, devised by Windcharger, Warpath then finished off the Decepticons, after Prowl, Jazz and Windcharger worked together to ignite the barrels of poison. Creating a sonic boom to shatter every beaker in the Decepticon lab, Warpath made sure that the Decepticons would not be able to use their lab again any time soon. The Autobots then drove victoriously back to base. Decepticon Poison
Dreamwave Generation One continuity
Warpath was first seen among Cybertron's population, observing anti-Autobot propaganda being pumped through the cortex by Shockwave to discredit Optimus Prime and his returning crew. Cold War Warpath, like most Autobots, recognized it as a load of BLAM! POW! ZOOM! and joined Tracks, Broadside and several other Mini-Vehicles in rising up along with the other Autobot insurgency cells to fight back against Shockwave's rule. Countdown to Extinction
After the fall, Warpath traveled to Earth under Bumblebee's command aboard the supply ship, Orion. Night of the Combaticons They crashlanded in the midst of a three-way battle between the Autobots and Decepticons of Earth and a lone super-powerful clone warrior known as Sunstorm. Black Sunshine Things got more than a little hectic, and the Autobots were forced to make a deal with Starscream in order to gain his cooperation against (and he, their protection from) Sunstorm. The Autobots were ultimately able to drive Sunstorm away when he inevitably returned, a battle in which Warpath donned a jetpack to shoot some mortars at the solar-powered Decepticon. Skyfire As part of his deal with the Autobots, Starscream told them where he had stashed several other Autobots his brigade had captured earlier, and Warpath and Bumper were sent out to retrieve them. On the salvage run, however, the pair ran into Earth Defense Command agents who made a forceful BOOM! suggestion that the Autobots accompany them back to their base. The Omega Effect Warpath was knocked out during this encounter, and later awakened within a transport hold with Bumper and the still-unconscious Autobots. Admitting he was rather worried about their current predicament, Warpath asked Bumper what was to become of them. Unfortunately, Bumper was as clueless as he was. Atonement
After arriving at their headquarters, Warpath learned that the EDC were looking to conscript some Autobots to help them deal with an Insecticon problem. Jazz agreed to help after being reactivated. He left Warpath behind, however, to watch over their comrades Wheeljack and Windcharger, who had not yet been revived. Infestation After dealing with the Insecticons, Jazz and his unit hooked back up with Warpath, and then all of them said their farewells to Marissa and the EDC. The Transformers
- Warpath (Mini-Vehicle, 1985)
- Premiering in the second year of the Hasbro The Transformers line, Mini Vehicle Warpath transforms into a General Motors M551A1 Sheridan ARAAV tank with a rotating turret.
- There is a notable paint variation on Warpath: while most releases have black-painted optics, some leave the optics unpainted yet cover his entire faceplate in black. There are also some very minor company stamping variants: all versions have "© Takara 1984 Japan" on the underside, but latter releases add "© Hasbro 1984" above it.
- His cannon barrel is a fairly common breaking point, typically snapping off under the "block" part connecting the barrel to the turret.
- In late 1986, he was made available as a mail-away item in the "Digital Doom on the Highway to Destruction" flier packed with most boxed Transformers toys. He cost $4 and one Robot Point.
- In Japan, despite his notable presence in the cartoon, he was not available in the regular retail line, but was sold only as a mail-away item, costing 500 yen and two Robot Points.
- This mold was used to make Treds.
The Transformers Collection
- Minibot Team (Multi-pack, 2004)
- ID number: 12 (set), 87 (individual)
- Warpath was reissued in a The Transformers Collection six-pack with Bumble, Adams, Gears, Huffer, and Powerglide. There are no notable differences between the original and the reissue versions, aside from a factory-applied foil Autobot sigil decal on his turret.
Universe (2008)
- Warpath (Legends, 2008)
- Known designers: Bill Rawley (Hasbro)
- Universe (2008) Warpath transforms from an H-shaped, futuristic tank, similar to Armada Megatron or Animated Shockwave, to a robot mode resembling his original form, right down to the cannon in the chest. Warpath's torso tilts back to become the turret of his alt mode, but it doesn't peg in place, so it's always drooping slightly. He is the only Legends Minibot figure that has moving elbows.
- This mold was redecoed to make Sparkcrusher. This figure also served as the basis of the non-toy character Shattered Glass incarnation of Warpath.
Henkei! Henkei!
- Minibot Spy Team (Multi-pack, 2009)
- ID number: C-19
- A rather inappropriate inclusion in the Minibot Spy Team pack, the Henkei! Henkei! version of Universe Warpath has more cartoon-accurate colors and paint applications. Notably his red is more metallic and darker than the Hasbro version. He also uses a darker gray, and replaces the black eyes with gray and the yellow detail on his chest with gray as well. His Autobot symbol is the traditional red with white outline unlike the Hasbro version.
Generations
- Warpath (Deluxe Class, 2011)
- Accessories: Missile
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner and Mark Maher (deco)
- Warpath is the sole new toy in the eighth wave of Generations Deluxe Class toys. He transforms from a robot mode inspired by his original Mini Vehicle toy into a combat tank of likely made-up origins, possibly inspired by Halo's Scorpion and/or Command & Conquer's Mammoth. A spring-loaded missile launcher is placed on his right shoulder, and rods in his legs and arms are compatible with c joint accessories. In tank mode, his turret can rotate and his barrel can rise. "K4-90W" and "Z0W-333" ("kapow" and "zoweee") are tampographed on his legs, a reference to Warpath's distinctive speech pattern from the original cartoon. The black chunk of plastic on Warpath's head is actually translucent plastic and allows for his eyes to glow, granted you have a powerful enough light shining back there.
- Following a trend from other Generations figures, his instructions depict him with a different head sculpt for a potential upcoming retool, presumably as Hardhead. However, unlike various other Generations toys, the alternate head only shows up in some steps in the instructions, whereas most steps simply depict Warpath's actual head.

United
- Warpath (Deluxe Class, 2012)
- ID number: UN-24
- Release date: January 28, 2012
- Accessories: Missile
- The United release of Warpath casts him in a red that is a close approximation of the original toy rather than the more red-brown coloration of the Hasbro release. He also features silver-outlined (only) Autobot symbols rather than the solid black symbols found on the Generations version, and lacks the alphanumeric codes on his tank sides. Curiously, his head is cast in red plastic rather than gray plastic painted over brownish red like the Hasbro release (despite no other gray plastic to red plastic changes).
- Like the 5th and 6th wave figures, Warpath's package features a sticker that said "limited quantity (数量限定)", indicating that this figure will be released in small quantities during its first and only shipment.

Bot Shots
- Warpath Launcher (Launcher, 2012)
- Series: 2
- Number: BL004
- Accessories: Launcher, 3-piece target
- Fist strength: 440
- Blaster strength: 873
- Sword strength: 297
- Part of the second wave of Series 2 Bot Shots launchers, Warpath is a retool of the Brawl Flip Shot mold to give him a more Warpath-like head, though possibly Brawl was retooled from Warpath. He turns into a bitty tank, with a spring-loaded transformation to robot mode triggered when his front bumper is pressed. He comes with a large trailer redecoed from Bumblebee's trailer, and a large circular target that breaks into pieces when hit.
- This mold was to be redecoed into Onslaught for the cancelled Combaticon 5-Pack set.
- The second wave of Series 2 launchers didn't reach mass retail in the United States, and were only available online or in discount stores like Ross.
Kre-O
- Warpath (Kreon Micro-Changer, 2012/2015)
- Collection: 1
- Bag number: *****43
- Accessories: Logo brick
- Known designers: Ed Masiello (Hasbro)
- Part of the first normal wave of Micro-Changer Kreons, Warpath is a blindpacked-bagged mini-figure, though a stamped ID number can be found on the back of the bag, top-right corner. He comes with an extra part (one 1X1 brick with a stud on the side) to turn him into a tank.
- He uses the Ironhide style helmet.
- Kreon Class of 1985 (Kreon figure set, 2015)
- Set number: B5152
- Voted: Loves the Smell of Cryo-Shells in the Morning
- Kreon Class of '85 Warpath has a much more toy-based deco, complete with masked face. The Kreons in this set all use the totally-revamped 2015 style bodies.
- He was only available as part of the San Diego Comic-Con-exclusive "Kreon Class of '85" 30-Kreon set. This set was also sold online through Hasbro Toy Shop after the show.
- Warpath (Kreon Micro-Changer, 2016)
- Collection: 1
- Accessories: Logo plate
- In 2016, Collection 1 was re-released in a whole new production run for Dollar General stores in the US as part of a large collection of re-released Kre-O sets. But where most of these releases are nigh-identical to the originals, the re-released Micro-Changer blind-bags use the almost-entirely-retooled 2015 Kreon, with slightly-differently-hued plastics than the originals. (It is possible for some of the add-on pieces to be in the older hues.) Warpath's torso and face tampographs have also been reworked to be slightly more detailed, and the formerly-bare legs now have extra detail tampographing on them. The 1x1 top-clip piece is also slightly different from the original, with a much lower-set clip.
- Sadly, this release has no individual-identification code on the bag, requiring you to use the feel-through-the-bag method or just buy blind and hope.
Combiner Wars
- Warpath (Legends Class, 2015)
- Known designers: John Warden (Hasbro)
- Part of the third wave of Combiner Wars Legends class figures, this new iteration of Warpath is a retool of Thrilling 30 Legends Megatron with a new head, and hence lacks the chest cannon he usually sports. Undocumented in the instructions, Chop Shop (or his redecoes Beet-Chop and Beet-Chit) can attach to the front of Warpath’s tank mode.
- Warpath also comes with a collector card based on his packaging art.
Vintage G1
- Warpath ("Legion Class", 2019)
- Part of the second wave of "Legion Class" figures in the Vintage G1 line, Warpath is a reissue of his Generation 1 figure, with some mild differences. This release lacks the Japanese reissue's additional foil insignia on the turret, bringing it back in line with the original. The rubsign is an all-new type used on all of the Vintage G1 toys; the insignia only turns red rather than the mood-ring multicolor of older rubsigns, plus the silver border is mirror-level reflective. This version also has production information tampographed onto him rather than molded.
War for Cybertron: Kingdom
- Warpath (Deluxe Class, 2020)
- Hasbro ID Number: WFC-K6
- TakaraTomy ID number: KD-06
- TakaraTomy release date: May 29, 2021
- Accessories: Tank undercarriage, Golden Disk card
- Known designers: John Warden (Hasbro)
- Part of the first wave of War for Cybertron: Kingdom Deluxe Class figures, Warpath has design elements from both the Sunbow cartoon animation model and the original toy. He transforms from a robot larger than his mini-bot brethren, but still smaller than the average Deluxe Class, into a tank loosely similar to the General Motors M551A1 Sheridan ARAAV. The underside of the tank separates from the figure and can be attached to the robot mode's shoulder or arm as a shield, or mounted on its back. In tank mode, Warpath's turret can rotate a full 360 degrees, and his cannon can raise up.
- All of Warpath's gray-white plastic parts are prone to photodegradation.
- Warpath also comes with a Golden Disk card that "reveals a possible destiny of a key character", with each character having three possible destiny variants.
- This mold was also used to make Generations Selects Go-Bots Guardians Treds.

3D Battle-Card Game
- Warpath (2007)
- A 35-point "common" character in the 3D Battle-Card Game's "Energon Wars" expansion, Warpath "transforms" into a red and grey tank. He uses the same parts layout as Movie Brawl, Movie Wreckage, and "Energon Wars" Blitzwing.
Transformers Trading Card Game
- Warpath, Confident Sharpshooter (2019)
- Wave 2: Rise of the Combiners
- Rarity: RT
- Card Number: T45/T46
- Stars: 6
- Warpath, Confident Sharpshooter is one of forty character cards released in Wave 2 of the Transformers Trading Card Game, Rise of the Combiners.
- The artwork for the card is reused from the Transformers Legends mobile game and is based on the Transformers: Generations Warpath figure.
Notes
- Warpath had the preliminary name of Hot Shot.
- The cartoon had a variety of ways to depict Warpath's face when he talked. In Toei's episodes, the three small slats on either side of his faceplate would light up and pulse in sync with his dialogue, in a fashion similar to Wheeljack's "ears". In the single episode of season 2 in which he appeared animated by the unknown studio, "A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court", his mouthpiece didn't light up, but did occasionally jiggle up and down in the more traditional manner, like Optimus Prime's. For season three, AKOM, of course, didn't bother their butts doing either of those things, and Warpath's face didn't move when he spoke.
- Generations Warpath's instructions, like many from the time, feature an alternate headsculpt. In this case it appears to be Hardhead. In late 2013, upcoming product listings inadvertently released to the public included 'TRA GENERATIONS DLX HARDHEAD A9252', although this figure was ultimately never announced or released.[3]
- In 2020, the unofficial Pete's Robot Convention would post the Hasbro deco sheet on Facebook, revealing that Hardhead had been planned for a Toys"R"Us USA two-pack with Ratbat.[4]
