File upload
Hey, thanks for your interest in the wiki. Just wanted to let you know that for screenshots we usually don't go with PNGs because the filesize is usually quite a bit bigger than a comparable JPEG. It's a great pic you've uploaded, but it might be best to re-upload it as a JPEG.--RosicrucianTalk 15:07, 14 August 2009 (EDT)
You don't have to put your name on pictures you've uploaded - it says in the "File history" underneath who uploaded it. :) --abates 23:35, 14 August 2009 (EDT)
Replacing Screencaps
Hi, thanks for the tips everyone. ^^ Still, I have a question for whoever sees this: I think I mentioned to someone that I'm working on replacing and uploading new Armada screencaps, but when I tried to replace one with using the same file name and everything, it didn't seem to work, since I still see the fuzzy version on the article as well as when I click to see it. Do I just have to wait for it or something? (EDT) right, sorry ^^; --WhiteWings 17:40, 15 August 2009 (EDT)
- Your browser is caching the old image. If you click on the image to bring up just the image, then hit "refresh" on your browser, that ought to update your cache. Otherwise, you could try emptying your cache and seeing if that helps. (Also, you should use the official signature code of ~~~~ to sign your posts, as it provides the time of your post and a link to your userpage... you can create a custom signature to shorten your nick if you like.) --Jeysie 13:48, 15 August 2009 (EDT)
Gotcha. I'm continuing on replacing them, but I was wondering how do I go about renaming the files? It's not that they have bad names already, it's just that I kinda wanted to make it a bit more orderly, and I had some trouble finding certain images to replace since they weren't labelled by episode at times (or in one or two cases, the wrong episode). --WhiteWings 20:44, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
- You can't, unfortunately. The best you can do is upload to the new filenames, change the code in the articles to point to the new images, then slap a {{tl|delete}} on the old images. --Jeysie 20:57, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
I see. Well, I think I might take that up after I'm done replacing these images. Thanks again --WhiteWings 21:25, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
- BTW, if you replace an image, then the comment you write when you upload it doesn't overwrite the existing description, so if there's a {{badimage}} tag, you have to delete it manually afterwards. --abates 21:46, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
Preview
Remember, "Show preview" button before "Save page" button! ;) --Lonegamer78 00:32, 17 August 2009 (EDT)
Did I do something wrong then? I'll fix it if you didn't already. --WhiteWings 00:37, 17 August 2009 (EDT)
- You made four edits to a single page in a short period. Use the preview button so you don't save the edit until you're sure it's right. - Cattleprod 00:59, 17 August 2009 (EDT)
- Yup. The most edits on a single page in a short period would be 9 back in early July. --Lonegamer78 01:26, 17 August 2009 (EDT)
Jungle Images Added
So, how does it look? Need different images? More images? Anything?
- Looks A+ to me! :) --abates 01:02, 17 August 2009 (EDT)
Screencap Mistake
Hi guys, been a while. I uploaded some screencaps for the image-less "Vacation" page, but I accidently uploaded files that were too big. I'm in the process of fixing it, so don't worry. Just wanted to let you guys know.
Sorry about the carelessness. --WhiteWings 07:39, October 16, 2009(EDT)
Miscellany screencapping
If it's no trouble, can you snag a screencap or two of both openings of ML (bonus if they're from the credit-less versions) so they can be used in their song articles, screencaps for the ending songs, and maybe different eyecatches for ML's commercial bumper section? Thanks ahead of time. :) --Lonegamer78 03:36, 24 October 2009 (EDT)
