- Also...
- Please don't change other people's captions unless there's offensive content. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 13:34, 11 January 2019 (EST)
OKAY OKAY JEEZ! I'm new here okay?! SHEESH!
- I realize that, and I'm trying to be as delicate about this as I can since you're new, but there are some editors here who are way less patient about this stuff than I am. It wouldn't hurt to give our Help page a read to familiarize yourselves with our rules and get some tips on how to get the most out of the wiki. The more you know, the less chance of getting on someone's bad side, y'know? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:48, 11 January 2019 (EST)
I don't appreciate being called a caption bastard. Is there a less offensive term?
- That's the link for the template. Not my words. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:20, 11 January 2019 (EST)
Oh. Also the Torterra thing just seemed to fit better for Slobber rock in my opinion. I have learned my lesson though.Metalstar (talk) 09:04, 15 January 2019 (EST)
Once more, please consider that the wiki is not a chatroom. There are forums and social media sites for that. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 16:15, 22 January 2019 (EST)
- Just know I'm pulling a beast machines Blackarachnia hand. (That joke's definitely gonna fly over you head)--Metalstar (talk) 08:40, 25 January 2019 (EST)
Once again...
Grum (talk) 12:07, 31 January 2019 (EST) But it says discussion!--Metalstar (talk) 15:21, 31 January 2019 (EST)
- Have you never observed other discussion page on this site? They are designated for discussing potential page improvements. If you want to discuss anything in general, that is what forums and social media are for. We are not a general chatter site. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 17:32, 2 February 2019 (EST)
- Remind me why what is the wiki's mascot is SG Ravage? The chatty social media addict?--Metalstar (talk) 14:19, 3 February 2019 (EST)
- Again, we're not a social media site. And having SG Ravage (who was created by one of the wiki's founders) as a mascot should not be taken as an indicator of recommended behavior any more than the idea that Bugs Bunny as WB's mascot means they want people to drop anvils on each other. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 15:48, 3 February 2019 (EST)
- Remind me why what is the wiki's mascot is SG Ravage? The chatty social media addict?--Metalstar (talk) 14:19, 3 February 2019 (EST)
Well maybe if the wiki had its own place for more social conversations like a majority of wikis we wouldn't need to have this chat. Also did you just use Bugs bunny as evidence for your side of an argument?--Metalstar (talk) 16:43, 3 February 2019 (EST)
- You from 2 lines ago: "Remind me why what is the wiki's mascot is SG Ravage?"
- It really isn't that hard to follow the rules. Escargon (talk) 16:53, 3 February 2019 (EST)
- Metalstar, it sounds like you're basing your idea of what a wiki is like on Wikia/Fandom wikis. Because TFWiki is independently operated, we run it like a wiki is supposed to be run, rather than cramming it full of "social features" to try and drive ad impressions. As people have already tried to tell you, they are many, many places on the internet where you can chat about Transformers to your heart's content. This wiki is not one of them, and that's not going to change any time soon. If you keep ignoring this, sooner or later you're going to end up being banned by me or another admin. Listen
I know you all think I talk too much. However, I feel kind of attacked. I'm new and I'm not used to the rules of this wiki yet. So please be patient with me. Instead of telling me what not to do, tell me what I need to do and how.--Metalstar (talk) 16:10, 31 January 2019 (EST)
- We've been doing that. We've linked you to our help and rules pages showing you how to edit and what not to do. We've told you what our article talk pages are actually used for. We've pointed out places you can go if you want to discuss Transformers in a more general sense. If you're still not going to listen, that's not on us. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 15:48, 3 February 2019 (EST)
As noted on the template that's already been posted further up this very talk page (and covered in more detail on policy page that the template links to), it's against TFWiki etiquette to go around writing image caption jokes if you haven't put some time in adding factual content to the wiki. If you're adding a new image that you've uploaded, by all means feel free to caption it, but finding existing images to add jokes shouldn't be something you're doing until you've spent more time contributing to the wiki. Right now, the overwhelming majority of your activity is posting on talk pages. FYI, when people tell you stuff like this, they're not "attacking" you, they're just telling you how things work here, so that you don't keep getting edits reverted. Jalaguy (talk) 13:01, 1 February 2019 (EST)
- Oh. Sorry.--Metalstar (talk) 13:37, 1 February 2019 (EST)
Okay
I get the point. I'll try to be more helpful from now on.--Metalstar (talk) 14:28, 4 February 2019 (EST)
- Also where would I find a list of acceptable sources for images because I've seen some pictures of the Botbot toys and we're kind of lacking in toy images for them.--Metalstar (talk) 12:22, 12 February 2019 (EST)
- Generally speaking, we don't take pictures from other sites. We use 1) Hasbro/Takara stock photos or 2) photos that were taken by the person uploading them. --Khajidha (talk) 12:44, 12 February 2019 (EST)
- Okay. What was the source for the botbot toy images we do have?--Metalstar (talk) 09:03, 13 February 2019 (EST)
- With a single exception, all of our existing BotBots toy images are either Hasbro stock photos or were taken by MSipher, one of our admins. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 10:10, 13 February 2019 (EST)

Your comment on Talk:Stinkeye Stapleton was wholly unnecessary. The discussion had been over for a week. When you've been repeatedly remanded for excessive chatting, I don't really think it's your place to do "mic drops" on other users. --Riptide (talk) 15:24, 26 February 2019 (EST)
- Okay okay I'll stick to just correcting spelling and grammar errors. HAPPY?!--Metalstar (talk) 09:00, 28 February 2019 (EST)
Dude, seriously, STOP CHATTING!!!
What could POSSIBLY possess you to make a pointless reply to a NINE YEAR OLD TALK PAGE POST? (See Talk:Skybyte) Especially given how many times you've been told to quit chatting. Seriously, stop yammering and start EDITING. --Khajidha (talk) 14:39, 28 February 2019 (EST)
