Synopsis
Since his initial attack, the raids conducted by Megatron have begun to settle into a pattern. Though the universes have differed, the Decepticon leader has noticeably started to focus on the year 2009. As a result, Alternity intelligence expert Bumblebee is paired with Protector Elita Seven for an investigation in the universal stream Primax 905.0 Beta. Though Elita Seven finds her Alternity partner's antics bothersome, Bumblebee nonetheless proves why his investigation skills are renowned, assembling from minimal evidence the theory that Megatron is searching for the birth of a new kind of dimensional flux which is to emerge in this universe. Bumblebee is uncertain as to when this flux will emerge, but his speculation is cut off by the anomaly in question suddenly erupting from a nearby art museum. As it rapidly spreads, many forms of visual communication across the planet begin to distort until they're rendered meaningless to the humans viewing them.
More than a little alarmed by this, Elita Seven and Bumblebee hurry to the museum and discover at the epicenter three apparent humans acting suspiciously around some sort of tablet. Elita Seven asks if they caused the anomaly, to which Bumblebee responds that these three are investigating much as they themselves are. Elita Seven correctly assumes that the interlopers serve Megatron much as the Protectors serve the Alternity, and she joins the fray. The disguised Decepticons drop their Pretender facades to reveal themselves as Reflector and go on the attack, but are outmaneuvered by Bumblebee's hyperdimensional powers, which flatten them by eliminating their Z-axis.
Enraged at the disruption of his operation, Megatron strikes with his tesseractal sword across the dimensional barriers, heavily damaging the building and grazing Bumblebee. In the confusion, the Decepticon agents escape and the tablet is destroyed.
Having not been privy to the higher-dimensional aspects of the battle, Elita Seven asks Bumblebee just what has happened. Her Alternity partner explains that the tablet was the gateway for an invasion from a lower dimension, a two-dimensional universe he describes as "Flatworld". Though apparently aiming to transcend and become higher-dimensional beings like the Alternity, the Flatworlders did not understand the ramifications of their emergence, which disrupted visual communication in this universe.
Resolving to be more vigilant, the pair set out to repair the damage that has been done.

Notes
- Reflector has taken to using Pretender technology similar to that seen in the Super God-Masterforce cartoon. However, instead of donning monster forms like the Decepticons of that series, Reflector has assumed human forms like the Autobots of that series did.
- Primax 905.0 Beta is the world of the Binaltech Asterisk pack-in prose, which was born with the release of the "Alert meets Ai" set on September 29, 2005.
