THE CL-what? WHO STOLE MY JOKE?!?!

Stockade backs up his partner Magna Stampede as a guardian of the Cybertron High Council estates. A fully-mechanical being on a technorganic world, Stockade packs incredible power into his comparatively small frame (certainly compared to the newly reappeared Decepticon forces on the planet). His methods are brutal and his personality isn't much cheerier, but he's a steadfast warrior who does his job no matter what.

Fiction

Wings Universe

Stockade didn't take well to life on a peaceful Cybertron, falling out with Magna Stampede and finding himself incarcerated in the Cybertropolis Detention Center more than once. He subsequently signed on to join the reformed Wreckers under Primal Prime, acting as the group's munitions expert. Apelinq's personal logs, 2014/06/18

During the Universe War, Primus, sensing great value in Magna Stampede and Stockade, attempted to recruit them for the Children of Primus, but Primax 509.28 Epsilon's reality membrane proved too tough to break, and they bounced back to their home reality in nanokliks. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/24

Beast Wars: Uprising

More than twenty stellar cycles before the Grand Uprising, Stockade and her friend Rav were caught stealing from Dynamic Energon Distilleries. An absent-minded Scorponok accidentally stumbled into Stockade's path, and the commotion alerted security. She was taken into custody by Impound before they escaped with the access codes. Identity Politics

Stockade eventually joined the Resistance, and her obstinate and defiant personality led to her being partnered with the more traditional Magna Stampede, as a mitigating influence. Sources vary about the effectiveness of this plan.

Stationed at the gates of Harmonex, Stockade was late reporting in, so Magna Stampede left his position to search for her. On the outskirts of Damaxus, they both ran into the first few advancing Vehicons emerging from that city-state. Stockade's spark cavity was pierced by one of the drones, beginning the nano-plague process that would transform her into another of the Vehicon. Reinforcements arrived before Magna Stampede could fall as well, but it was too late for Stockade. Despite Magna's pleading, medic CatSCAN saw no way to save her. Instead, he extracted Stockade's spark so the Resistance could study the Vehicon infection more fully. Derailment

Toys

Universe (2003)

TFU03-toy Stockade.jpg
  • Stockade & Magna Stampede with Prowl & Terradive (Ultra, 2004)
  • Accessories: Missile
  • Known designers: Marcelo Matere (packaging artist)
Released in the third "official" wave of Universe Ultra-class packs (Universe has a few ".5" half-waves, which ultimately put this pack in the fifth set of Ultra releases, yes it's confusing), Stockade is a redeco of the Beast Machines Vehicon Tank Drone, transforming into a Cybertronic four-tracked assault tank. In tank mode, pressing down on the back end of his cannon connects it to the gear-wheel system on his underside; pushing him forward like this causes the cannon barrel to spin. This in turn eventually triggers the launch of a spring-loaded "energy blast" missile.
Stockade was only available only in a multi-pack with Magna Stampede and the Mini-Cons Prowl and Terradive.
This mold was also used to make Beast Wars Returns Tankor.

Stockade was only available as part of a Mini-Con 10-pack with Windrazor, Ransack, Overcharge, Sky Shadow, Scavenger, Longview, Snow Cat, Treadshot, and Crosshairs. This set was only available at certain retailers, notably Kmart and Meijer in the U.S. and Tesco in the UK.

Notes

  • Stockade's bio information comes from an unpublished, yet officially-approved, bio (for Magna Stampede) written by 3H. It is one of many Universe profiles written and approved, but unpublished for whatever reason. Years later, the Facebook pages Tornado - Decepticon Saboteur and Ask Vector Prime would canonize the Universe profile information.
