Spindle
From Transformers Wiki
- Spindle is a Wrecker Fossilizer from the Legacy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
She may just be a pile of bones, but new recruit Spindle is ready to fight alongside Impactor to arm him for combat! She is a deadly predator when on the attack, and can transform into indestructible weapons and armor.[1]

- Comic Universe Impactor & Spindle (2-pack, 2022)
- Accessories: Tail-weapon
- Known designers: Mark Maher (Hasbro), Shogo Hasui (TakaraTomy)|Hirofumi Ichikawa (detailing)
- Part of the Legacy Wreck N' Rule Collection, Spindle is a heavy retooling of War for Cybertron: Kingdom Deluxe Class Paleotrex, transforming into an (inaccurate) Spinosaurus skeleton in 28 steps. Aside from the obvious Spinosaurus changes, Spindle has a new head and chest piece. Her deco is made to match her pack-in partner "Comic Universe Impactor".
- As a Fossilizer, Spindle can split into weapons and armor compatible with the C.O.M.B.A.T. System for use by other War for Cybertron Trilogy figures (or any figure with 5 mm post compatibility). Notably, Spindle's new tooling is pointedly designed with an eye towards creating a Fossilizer combination homaging the original dino-combiner, Grimstone.[2] Due to having tiny feet and a very oddly proportioned body in robot mode, the figure can be difficult to pose without it falling over, not helped by the fact that her "ankle" tilts are actually positioned just below her knees.
- All of the packs in the Wreck N' Rule Collection contain a piece of a buildable cardboard Wrecker hammer; Spindle and Impactor came with the main body of the hammer. The inner boxes are also designed to be stacked together to form a display mural.
- In the United States, Spindle was only available in the Amazon Wreck N' Rule Collection; this two-pack was the first set revealed, on May 9, 2022. Despite being originally slated for a November release, this pack began shipping out in late July 2022, after the three single-packs that had been revealed later.
- This mold's original version was redecoed into Skelivore, and retooled with a new head to make Generations Selects Transmutate.
Notes
- The Kingdom precedent of Autobot-allied Fossilizers would imply that Spindle is a Maximal, but this is not addressed by Legacy materials.
- An unnamed combiner head can be created by combining Spindle's chest plate with Masterdominus' skull. [3]
