Soundwave (SG Animated)

Soundwave is a heroic Decepticon from the Shattered Glass Animated continuity family.

Once a sonic attack robot built by Isaac Sumdac, Soundwave was given life by Megatron, and his sound weapons are now turned to good vibes only.

Shattered Glass Animated

Soundwave was a sonic attack robot until Megatron stole it and turned it into Soundwave. Soundwave's sound weapons were repurposed to turn all of Sumdac's other robots playful and happy, something for which Sumdac blamed his daughter Sari. A year or so later, Soundwave returned, having united Detroit's myriad superheroes—Amiable Archer, Millisec, Private Princess, and Cyrus—into the Heroic Youths Battling Robots Infesting Detroit. With his new team, Soundwave trapped the evil Autobots in a virtual reality, where they were subjected to nicey-nicey friendship songs from a purple technorganic dinosaur. To prevent the Autobots being turned good, Sari coerced some local hobobots to "beat the stupid" out of her fellow enforcers. Notes

• It's not specified how Megatron turned the robot into Soundwave, but we do know that the Decepticons were in possession of the AllSpark, so that seems a reasonable guess.
