Rovio is a Finnish game developer founded in 2003. The company is widely known for its Angry Birds franchise of mobile games, including Angry Birds Transformers.

Rovio was called Relude from 2003 to 2005 when Relude was renamed to Rovio Mobile.^[1] Rovio Mobile was Rovio's name from 2005 to 2011 when it was renamed to Rovio Entertainment.

The company was acquired by Sega in 2023.
