Warm-hearted witch.

Mega (メガ) leads the Decepticon forces on Earth alongside her husband, Giga, serving as the "Ambassadors of Destruction" for the mysterious alien entity and self-styled Decepticon god, Devil Z. Although cruel, calculating, and a Decepticon through and through, Mega nonetheless dotes upon the Decepticon Headmaster Juniorsespecially Cancer— as if they were her surrogate sons, and her prowess in battle has been compromised more than once due to her concern for her "children".

As Decepticon Godmaster, both Giga and Mega are bonded to the same transtector from the G Nebula. This transtector, Overlord, splits into two components, the Gigatank piloted by Giga and the Megajet (メガジェット Megajetto) piloted by Mega.

"Hello, Dreary Ones! Tonight we have a HEXcellent show!"

Precisely how Mega and Giga were recruited by Devil Z was never revealed. The couple were bonded to the largest of the eight transtectors that Devil Z had brought to Earth, and were charged by the alien with finding the other Godmaster transtectors scattered across Earth. They operated out of a secret island base while Devil Z's other Decepticon minions, led by Blood, kept the Autobots on Earth busy. Mega and Giga discovered the German brothers Hydra and Buster and a pair of jet transtectors in North America and bonded them together, bringing them to their island for training in the use of their mighty new powers.

Eventually, Devil Z decided to bring his Decepticon troops together, Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers and Mega and Giga moved their operations from their island to the base in which Devil Z resided. Although Giga planned to destroy their island to cover their tracks, Mega requested that it be left intact so that she could use it for a laboratory. Giga obliged, although she was never actually seen using it for anything. Gilmer and Dauros weren't too sure if Mega would be happy with the dank conditions of their base, but when Mega overheard Gilmer drop a "hysterical woman" comment, she got back at him by having him play training dummy so Cancer, whom she had immediately taken a shine to, could show off his martial arts skills for her.

Cancer and mega.jpg

With their forces now united, the Decepticons began anew their campaign to plunder energy and destabilize the natural balance of the world, and Mega selected Viscas Island to be their first target. A Fierce Battle!! The Autobots Are in Trouble

Soon, Mega and Giga revealed to Hydra and Buster that they were not the only Godmasters on Earth, and ordered them to seek out more of their kind. The first Godmaster to be discovered, however—a trucker named Ginrai—wound up siding the Autobots. A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai In order to beef up Hydra and Buster's armament for the subsequent hunt for Ginrai, Mega developed a powerful new explosive that she sculpted into "deathballs", Ginrai: God On of Rage!! but the Godmaster brothers repeatedly failed to best their Autobot opponent, prompting Mega and Giga to call in King Poseidon. Eliminate the Godmaster Ginrai Things just kept going from bad to worse for the Decepticons when three more Godmasters were discovered and sided with the Autobots, leaving Mega and Giga furious, and with very little patience for the Six Changer Sixknight, who attempted to offer them his services and who they turned away with mocking laughter. A Powerful Foe!! Sixknight the Wanderer Mega faced her own personal challenges as a "mother", as well: noticing that Cancer was depressed, she summoned him to her quarters, and tried to cheer him up by gifting him with a small Transformer named Browning. The Autobot Warrior, Sixknight?!

Mega fortune teller.jpg
Mega godmaster armor.jpg

Mega and Giga next tried turning the rest of Earth against the Autobots, by having Mega pose as a fortune teller on television in order to predict disasters that they could blame on the Autobots. Mega's "prophecies" of meteors and floods were all fulfilled by the other Decepticons, but she then took matters into her own hands by using her Godmaster powers to levitate a meteor and try and crash it into a viewing platform. Ginrai stopped her, and her evil was exposed, forcing her to escape aboard the Megajet. Expose the Decepticons' Dark Trap!

Deciding that the time had come to confront Ginrai themselves, Mega and Giga lured the Autobot into the desert and unleashed their full power by combining into Overlord. After thrashing Ginrai until he was near death, Super Ginrai Gets Blown Away in the Desert!? the couple departed Earth for the Moon, where they took over a weather monitoring station and awaited the arrival of the approaching Decepticon super-weapon, BlackZarak. God Ginrai - Into the Sky!! Ginrai, combined with the drone Godbomber and aided by Grand Maximus, pursued them, and after a prolonged battle, Mega and Giga were badly wounded and forced to flee back to Earth. God Ginrai - Showdown on the Surface of the Moon

After their defeat on the moon, Mega and Giga made several attempts to destroy Godbomber, first with a "Chōkon Tornado" in the desert, Overlord - Terror of the Chōkon Tornado then by separating him from Ginrai Destroy Godbomber!!, but both plans failed. Mega next participated in the Decepticons' full-scale assault against on the Autobot base, Secret Orders! Destroy the Autobot Base!! and although she and Giga were defeated by Ginrai during the ensuing battle, the ultimate goal of their plan was accomplished, and the Autobot base was destroyed. Disaster! The Autobot Base Explodes

Megajet.jpg

When BlackZarak returned to Earth, Mega was shocked by Devil Z's decision to have the powerful Decepticon destroy all of humanity in one fell swoop using the atmosphere-destroying Death Para-Machine. Although the plan was ultimately thwarted, Crisis! The Day of Human Extinction her doubts only grew when Devil Z—now inhabiting the body of BlackZarak—revisited the idea, this time deciding to use his Devil Power to wipe out mankind. When the alien fulfilled Buster and Hydra's wishes to become truly robotic beings, the horrified Mega and Giga resolved to prove the power of humanity to Devil Z by fighting Ginrai without weapons, using only the power of their spirit and flesh. Battle to the Death!! God Ginrai VS Darkwings Reborn Ginrai acknowledged their wish by fighting on the same terms, but Grand Maximus had no such compunctions, blasting them from behind so that the Autobots could move on to more important matters. Autobots! Desperate Attack!!

Giga mega dead.jpg

When Devil Z relocated the Decepticons to the peak of the Matterhorn for an attack against Europe, Mega and Giga found themselves in opposition to their emperor once more when he subjected Hydra and Buster to corporal punishment for their repeated failures. The couple tried to restrain Devil Z, causing him to turn on them, and they would have died then and there had Ginrai not come to their rescue. Malevolent and Inhuman! The True Form of Devil Z As Ginrai engaged Devil Z in battle, Mega and Giga realized that they could no longer serve the alien, and that they now owed Ginrai a debt of honor for saving them. Joining their old foe against their former leader, Mega and Giga were struck down by a bolt of Devil Power, and forcibly separated from their transtectors by Devil Z's powers. As Overlord came to life as a true super-robot lifeform, Mega and Giga collapsed on the snowy ground, and as their Master-Braces vanished from their wrists, the couple died. A Battle... and Then...

The real Mega was one of the many women brought to the Legends World by Tigatron using the ultra-drill in an attempt to get women who liked him better than Springer. It did not work out, as all of the women brought over eventually swooned over Springer. Bonus Edition Vol. 19

In 2021, Giga and Mega were resurrected within the Legends World by the similarly returned Devil Z, and agreed to work with him again for a chance at a final showdown with Ginrai. Bonus Edition Vol. 60 While working behind the scenes, they employed Clouder as a double agent. Bonus Edition Vol. 47 In order to become Godmasters again, they used a new Gigatank and Megajet to attack Ginrai while he was delivering a cargo of Master-Braces. Overlord Mega.jpg

Giga and Mega next lured Ginrai to their base, disguised as the "Chōkon Tower Chinese Restaurant", where they treated him to a meal so that he'd be at full strength for a fair and square battle. As the duel began, the couple revealed that they had learned to master Shinchōkon, allowing them to not only summon forth a second Overlord transtector and fight together as "Overlord Giga" and "Overlord Mega", but combine the both of them into "Overlord Tera". Their combined form temporarily overcame God Ginrai, only for their nemesis to tap into Shinchōkon himself and defeat them. Giga and Mega accepted that they would die again with Devil Z's imminent destruction, but Clouder revealed that the entity had been captured alive, allowing them to remain in the Legends World and run their restaurant until the day they could have a rematch with Ginrai. Bonus Edition Vol. 60 When Devil Z broke out and attacked the Legends World in the form of a new BlackZarak, Giga and Mega formed Overlord Tera and helped defeat him. Bonus Edition Vol. EX

Giga mega dead manga.jpg

Mega and Giga came under Devil Z's rule when they drowned at sea. Devil Z saw use for the humans, and used his mysterious powers to restore them to life. The Birth of the Super Life-Forms

Burn, Chokon! New Commander Super Ginrai!
Giga mega manga.jpg

Mega and Giga attempted to induct Jin and Mirai into the Decepticons, but they ran off with the "newest Master-Braces" and formed their own faction. Headmasters VS Masterforce

After Devil Z arranged for his Earth and space-based troops to unite, The Battle Begins! The Earth-Space Alliance Army Mega and Giga unveiled their transtectors for the first time in an attack on a city, and combined into Overlord to battle God Ginrai. God Ginrai's Amazing Divine Combination! Next, in an attempt to expand their twisted family, the Decepticons kidnapped Shūta Gō and Cab and tried to torture them into joining their ranks. Minerva soon arrived to save her teammates, however, and Ginrai and Grand Maximus dispatched Overlord, leaving Mega in tears at the loss of two potential children. The Good and Evil Families of Earth Their next attempt at enlarging their family was similarly ineffective, when the final Godmaster, Clouder, joined up with the Decepticons, only to turn on them and side with the Autobots. Mega thought that perhaps they should have offered him dominion over Antarctica to keep him happy. The Decepticons' Great Counterattack!

Mega and Giga became Overlord again to join BlackZarak in attacking an Earth city, but they were defeated by the power of the Autobots' newest weapon, the VX Bomb. Life or Death? The Desperate Divine Combination! Later, as the New Year approached, Giga and Mega wanted the Decepticon family to celebrate the New Year together. However, they found Cancer sneaked out of the Decepticon headquarter and runs away with Browning, leaving behind a letter that states he doesn't want to be a Decepticon any more. As for Cancer, who thought himself could live a normal life again, only met BlackZarak who winded up attacking the city where he went to. BlackZarak displayed his dismissive attitude towards humans—even comrades—when the Autobots arrived to battle him, seizing Cancer and using him to keep the Autobots at bay. Mega and Giga soon arrived, and, horrified at the sight of their surrogate son being treated in this manner, combined into Overlord and thrashed BlackZarak for his actions. The Autobots used this opening to attack both Decepticons, forcing them to retreat back to the Decepticon base, where Mega comforted Cancer and forgave him for his rash actions. The Great Turnabout of the Autobots

MFmega cancer browning.jpg

Mega and Giga's actions in the last battle proved to be the last straw for Devil Z. Possessing BlackZarak's body, he attacked his minions and Ginrai, attempting to absorb their Jinchōkon to transform himself into the ultimate lifeform. They were saved by the Autobot Pretenders, who blocked Devil Z's Jinchōkon-absorbing beam with their entirely robotic bodies, and Mega and Giga decided to join with the Autobots to defeat their treacherous emperor once and for all. All the Autobots and Decepticons united their energies in the "Perfect Transform Attack", obliterating Devil Z and BlackZarak in one mighty explosion of pure Chōkon Power. Alas, the death of Devil Z caused the cessation of the energies sustaining Mega and Giga, and the couple died along with the alien. Devil Z's passing had another unexpected side effect, causing the Transformers' transtectors to come to life as true super-robot lifeforms that soon departed for space to continue their war. The now-living Overlord declared that he would continue to battle Ginrai and the Autobots, and defeat them in the name of Mega and Giga's memory. The Birth of the Super Life-Forms

Transformers: All Spark

Mega showed up during a battle between the Giga-controlled Overlord and Bumblebee and Spike, who were shocked to see a human working with the Decepticons. Amused that Giga couldn't defeat his opponents, she took his place as Overlord's head to show him how things were done, summoning Blitzwing and Octane to fight alongside her. The Decepticons were defeated when God Ginrai showed up with reinforcements, but Mega avoided capture and watched from afar as Bumblebee and Spike drove off. Looming Threat

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

Mega masterforce toy.jpg
  • Overlord (Godmaster, 1988)
Released in the fourth year of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers line under the Super-God Masterforce banner, Mega is a small armored human figure that transforms into a white, teal, and silver-chromed engine block.
In humanoid mode, she lies in the cockpit of the Megajet, while in engine mode, she snaps into the jet's engine socket in order to unlock it for transformation. Once Overlord is fully transformed into robot mode, Mega can be removed from the jet's socket and plugged into either of the two sockets in Overlord's chest; nominally, she is intended to be placed in the left-hand socket, unlocking Overlord's "Chōkon Bolt Masher" stomach-cannon. When Overlord is transformed into base mode, humanoid-mode Mega can stand in the control room of the base's central tower, or in engine mode, can attach to the base's small scout car. Her engine mode can also unlock any other Decepticon Godmaster Transtector; while she can fit into Autobot engine sockets, she won't unlock them.
She was only available packed in with the massive Godmaster Overlord alongside her husband Giga.

Legends
