G3 Prime (G3プライム Jīsurī Puraimu) is an existence above that of regular Transformers. Since time immemorial, he has been tasked by the Chrono Matrix to watch over the lifeforms of the universe, stepping in to protect the flow of time from evil forces who would seek to manipulate it. To assist him in his duties are a multitude of amazing superpowers, including the ability to split into multiple copies by reconstituting his component molecules. With the "Gravity Field", G3 Prime can create a protective gravity barrier, and the "Gravity Veil" allows his body to resist water, lightning, and even rust. Powering all of this is the "Tough Solar Component", which allows G3 Prime to absorb and accumulate energy from sunlight, minimizing any unnecessary expenditure of energon. He's not without offensive capability, as his "Steel Spikes" let him smash anything using his metal fists.

Detecting distortions of time on Earth, G3 Prime has appeared in the modern age and uses his watch alternate mode to learn more about the humans that wear him. He doesn't really care for those who flout Ho-Ren-So, ultimately wasting the time that's so precious to him. In the end, he hopes that communication between all lifeforms will deepen, reducing the careless loss of even one second of time.

After being corrupted by the power of the Dark Spark, G3 Prime becomes the malicious Master Nemesis Prime (マスターネメシスプライム Masutā Nemeshisu Puraimu). Even in this state, he still sticks to his Ho-Ren-So fixation.

Fiction

G-Shock × Transformers

Upon the Decepticons siccing the machine-hating Geistrom onto Cybertron, G3 Prime was forced to act in defense of his homeworld. Holding the spectral Geistrom swarm back with his Gravity Field, G3 Prime realized a solution and summoned humans from Earth. When one of them held up his G-Shock watch to prove that natural lifeforms and machines could help and assist one other in affectionate cooperation, Geistrom's philosophy was shattered. Taking advantage, G3 Prime was able to seal the weakened alien by putting Geistrom into a rift he opened in an interval of spacetime. Sapped of energy from the confrontation, G3 Prime sent the humans back to their original places, sans the G-Shock, which he used the last of his energy to turn over to Master Optimus Prime before falling into the rift himself. Communicating through the watch thanks to the power of the Chrono Matrix, G3 entreated Optimus to return the watch to its owner. Battle of G3 Prime and G-Shock

Inside the abyss with Geistrom, G3 Prime came across the Dark Spark. When Geistrom attempted to make a play for the artifact, G3 Prime was forced to seal it within himself to prevent universal destruction. The Dark Spark ended up corrupting the Prime, transforming him into "Master Nemesis Prime". After easily wiping out the Geistrom swarm, Master Nemesis Prime returned to his normal dimension, but found that the taint of darkness removed his spacetime powers. To rectify this, he sought out a G-Shock watch. He soon arrived on Earth, where he managed to acquire a G-Shock, likely through a sympathetic human. When beating up some Decepticons, Nemesis was confronted by Optimus, who used his "Gnotion Empower" to find that this "Nemesis Prime" was in actuality his old friend G3 Prime. Master Nemesis Prime warned Master Optimus Prime of "time disruptors" amassing on Earth that needed to pacified first before the two could have a proper confrontation. The corrupted Prime disappeared, leaving Optimus to promise to restore his old friend. Battle of the Primes

"THE WORLD!"
G-Shock × Transformers Master Nemesis Prime is a slight retool of Master Optimus Prime, featuring a new head sculpt. Master Nemesis Prime transforms into a "Nemesis Altar Mode" that can hold the included "Dark Spark" accessory or a G-Shock watch. In particular, it is able to hold G-Shock DW-5600 series and DW-6900 series watches. The included "Energy Muskets" can be held in the hands in robot mode, or attached to its Nemesis Altar Mode.

  • Master Nemesis Prime Resonant Mode [With G-Shock] (December 7, 2019)
    • Accessories: 2 Energy Muskets, Dark Spark
Essentially the same release as above, but includes a compatible DW-5600TF watch.

Notes

  • G3 Prime's name is explained as arising from three words: Gravity (重力), Galaxy (銀河系), and Generation (世代を超えて). The fixation on gravity is due to "G-Shock" being an abbreviation for "Gravitational Shock".
