The Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers story pages were published in TV Magazine from August, 1985 until November, 1986. The stories were primarily provided by Masumi Kaneda while the artwork was provided by both Studio OX and Ban Magami. A staple of these early pages was a feature titled "Anime Theater", producing stories which occasionally ran up to four pages, which is unusual for story pages, which typically end at two.

Illustrated by: Ban Magami

The Autobots decide to test their skills with a friendly race. Prime waves a checkered flag, and the Autobots head out, unaware that Soundwave has learned of their race and is plotting a way to defeat them (snickering to himself as he does so). Soundwave and Laserbeak wait until the Autobots enter a narrow canyon and ambush them. The rocky terrain keeps the Autobots from fighting back, and Wheeljack, Sideswipe and Jazz are taken out. Unfortunately for Soundwave, Hound is a Jeep and has no trouble driving over rocky terrain. Hound transforms to robot mode and drives his fist straight through Soundwave's glass chest window. Meanwhile, Jazz transforms and takes out Laserbeak.
