Toys
Generations
- Cybertronian Bumblebee (Deluxe Class, 2010)
- Accessories: Handgun
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro), Tomoya Miyake (TakaraTomy)
- Part of the first wave of Generations Deluxe Class toys, War for Cybertron Cybertronian Bumblebee transforms into a "Cybertronian courier mode". In robot mode, his gauntlets each have a wrist-mounted flip-out blade. His handgun is held via 5 mm post, and can be stored inside his rear bumper in either robot or vehicle mode. Bumblebee's head appears to have light-piping, but his eyes are painted over in blue, thus rendering the gimmick neutered. His legs are generally loose at the mid-thigh joint due to being used for transformation.
- He and Cybertronian Optimus Prime shipped ahead of their two other wavemates in the United States via Toys"R"Us.
- This mold was redecoed into United Bumblebee Cybertron Mode, as well as retooled into Generations/War for Cybertron Cliffjumper and United Cliffjumper Cybertron Mode. In fact, Bumblebee's instructions depict him with Cliffjumper's head, revealing the retool before it was officially announced. This mold also inspired the "Damus" body for IDW comic character Tarn.
Transformers (2010)
- Rage over Cybertron (Multi-pack, 2011)
- Accessories: Handgun
- Transformers Cybertronian Bumblebee is a Toys"R"Us-exclusive redeco of Generations Cybertronian Bumblebee, with most of the original version's black plastic changed to gray, clear blue headlights and rims, red tint for the windows, most of the red paint details changed to blue, and additional blue circuitry paint details resembling the "overshield" effect from the War for Cybertron game.
- He was only available in a three-pack with similar redecos of Cybertronian Optimus Prime and Cybertronian Megatron.
Prime
First Edition
- Bumblebee and Arcee, Includes Raf Esquivel and Jack Darby (Multi-pack, 2011)
- Release date: October 13, 2011
- Accessories: Arm-mounted twin-cannon
- The first Bumblebee is an orange-ish redeco of "First Edition" Bumblebee (see below for more details), with livery making him resemble the famous yellow taxi cabs of New York.
- This Bee was only available in a New York Comic Con 2011 exclusive multi-pack, packed in with a pink Arcee and NY-shirt-wearing Jack Darby and Raf Esquivel figurines. This set was released a few short months before the Prime toyline began to hit shelves in the US.
- Bumblebee (Deluxe Class, 2011)
- Number: 001
- TakaraTomy release date: December 28, 2011
- Accessories: Arm-mounted twin-cannon, stand
- Known designers: Eric Siebenaler (Hasbro)
- Part of the first wave of Prime: First Edition figures, this Deluxe-sized incarnation of Bumblebee transforms into a yellow "Urbana 500" muscle car (a fictional car model). His arm-mounted twin-barreled blaster accessory can be pegged via 5 mm peg into either of his forearms, and stows underneath his vehicle mode.
- As with other "First Edition" Prime figures, he comes with a cardboard display stand which sits at the bottom of the packaging.
Cyberverse
- Bumblebee (Cyberverse Legion, 2012)
- Part of the first wave of Hasbro's Prime Series 2 Cyberverse Legion Class toys, Bumblebee transforms into a the fictional "Urbana 500" muscle car. He features numerous 3 mm ports for mounting Cyberverse weapons, such as on his hands, doors/arms, and roof/back.
- He comes with a blaster modeled after his in-show cannon, which features two 3 mm posts and a port, and is cast in soft translucent red plastic. This weapon, in a variety of colors, is also used by Cyberverse Arcee, Evac, Hyperspeed Wheeljack, Autobot Tailgate, the redeco of Bumblebee that comes with the Bumblebee Battle Suit (see below) and 2014 Transformers Protectobot Groove.
- Some units had the blaster molded in significantly more flexible (and also more creamy and less translucent) plastic.
- In Japan, Bumblebee was part of the first wave of the Prime-themed portion of the ongoing, multi-franchise EZ Collection series, with no notable changes.
- Quickblade Bumblebee (Cyberverse Legion, 2012)
- Series / number: 2 / 011
- Accessories: Combat blade
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
- Part of the third wave of Prime Cyberverse Legion Class toys, Quickblade Bumblebee is a redeco of Legion Class Bumblebee in black with yellow stripes, loosely resembling the deco he later assumes in Season 3 of the Prime cartoon. He comes with a "combat blade", a soft translucent-green blade weapon that can mount/be held via any of its four 3 mm pegs.
- The blade weapon was originally designed for Cyberverse Ratchet, and was also released (in various colors) with Cliffjumper, Knock Out, and Dark of the Moon Mirage.
- Bumblebee Battle Suit (Cyberverse Vehicle, 2012)
- Series / number: 2 / 003
- Accessories: Large missile-firing blaster, missile, small double-barreled blaster
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
- Part of the second wave of Prime Cyberverse Vehicle playsets, the Bumblebee Battle Suit comes with a redeco of Legion Class Bumblebee, which features brighter, paler yellow plastic, trades in his black stripes for sparkly dark-blue, replaces his silver-painted windshields with metallic light-blue, switches the silver on his abdomen and shins with metallic dark-blue, replaces the black grill with silver, omits the stripe portions at the center of the hood, and removes the silver on his feet.
- In addition to the suit's other accessories, Bumblebee still comes with his double-barreled blaster, with the color changed from translucent red to translucent light blue.
- Autobot Set (Multi-pack, 2012)
- ID number: EZ-SP1
- Release date: November 24, 2012
- Accessories: Blaster
- In Japan, Bumblebee was also available in a special EZ Collection six-figure set towards the back end of the line. This version of Bumblebee is mostly the same, but replaces his yellow plastic with a darker shade of metallic yellow.
- This set also included similarly-altered versions of Ratchet, Bulkhead, Optimus Prime, Arcee, and Wheeljack.
- Bumblebee (Cyberverse Legion, 2013)
- Series / number: 3 / 004
- Accessories: "Eagleshot Bow"
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
- Part of the first wave of Beast Hunters Series 3 Cyberverse Legion Class toys, Bumblebee is a redeco and significant "retool" (in the loosest sense of the term; literally every single part except for his wheels and the shoulder joints is modified) of Legion Class Bumblebee, transforming into a heavily-armed Urbana 500 muscle car with spikes covering the front wheels, sculpted missile launchers and boosters/blasters on the doors, armor panels at the rear, and a large version of his double-barreled blaster sculpted onto his hood, the barrels of which end up mounted on his chest/shoulders in robot mode. He sports various 3 mm ports in the same places the original Legion Class toy did.
- He comes with the "Eagleshot Bow", a crossbow which has two 3 mm ports and three posts, allowing it to mount/be mounted in different ways. This bow, in varying colors, was also used by Airachnid, Windrazor, and Rippersnapper.
- In 2017, this Bumblebee also saw release as one of three random free gifts packed in with the Walmart exclusive Blu-Ray release of the four live-action movies.
- Energon Driller with Bumblebee (Cyberverse Vehicle, 2013)
- Series / number: 3 / 003
- Accessories: Prod, saw, Eagleshot Bow, Energon Booster
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
- The only new product from the second wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Cyberverse Vehicle playsets, the Energon Driller (a redeco of the Series 2 Driller stripped of its electronics) comes with a redeco of Legion Class Series 3 Bumblebee, who features an ever-so-slightly darker shade of yellow plastic, black instead of charcoal wheels and hip and shoulder joints, dark metallic blue instead of black paint details for his front bumper, windscreen, shins and forearms/vehicle mode doors, black instead of silver paint operations for the face and the double-barreled blaster on the hood, and less saturated blue paint operations for the eyes.
- He comes with blue redecos of the Series 2 Driller's prod and saw accessories, which were originally meant for Knock Out, as well as the Eagleshot Bow. The Energon Booster (originally part of the Series 2 Vehicles' light-up gimmick) is also included as a separate piece no longer connected to the Driller by a power cable, and can also be used by Bumblebee as a hand-held weapon.
- The Bumblebee Energon Driller was notoriously absent from US retail for many months after being available from online retailers, and even appearing at retail in Hasbro's Asian and eventually European markets. It wasn't until much later that it finally became available through discount stores such as Ross, although there have also been sightings at Toys"R"Us Express, Hastings, and Tuesday Morning stores.
Robots in Disguise
- Bumblebee (Deluxe Class, 2012)
- Series / Number: 1 / 001
- Japanese ID number: AM-02
- Japanese release date: March 31, 2012
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters (Hasbro only), "B.B." Arms Micron (Takara only)
- Part of the first wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Deluxe Class toys, this Bumblebee is an entirely new mold, and features a much simpler transformation (and slightly decreased poseability), including a "dramatic head reveal": the entire car mode front section are geared together, so when the robot mode shoulders are pulled out, the hood opens up to flip out Bumblebee's head and expand his chest. Two blaster weapons are now included, which use 5 mm posts and holes to mount on his forearms, engine block, or be used as hand-held weapons. They can also combine to form a larger quad-barreled cannon. While the instructions are rather vague about it, his folded-up roof features a tab that's meant to peg into a slot behind his pelvis, securing his roof somewhat in robot mode. This version of the toy was later retooled into Hot Shot.
- In wave six of the "Robots in Disguise" toyline, Bumblebee was put into new packaging, which came with a DVD featuring the Prime episode "Loose Cannons".
- The TakaraTomy version of Bumblebee, part of the first wave of Prime toys, is considerably different. His roof and doors have been retooled to include 5 mm-hole mounting points, which are meant to be used with the new Arms Micron system. As such, he does not come with the Hasbro version's blasters, instead, he comes with the Arms Micron B.B., which transforms into an oversized version of Bumblebee's wrist-mounted blasters. His paint operations have also been pretty heavily decreased; his doors, roof, and rear window frame have stripe-less solid-yellow paint to cover the clear plastic, leaving his engine block, grill parts and face the only "detail-painted" parts on the toy. Most of his detailing, like his car mode striping, is provided by a separate sheet of customer-applied foil stickers. (This allows for more show-accurate stripes than the painted Hasbro version.) Unfortunately, he suffers from a particularly horrid case of sticker placement: The instructions tell you to place stickers between his front wheels and doors to continue his stripe patterns, but due to how the doors are jointed, there is not enough clearance near them to accommodate these stickers, and opening the doors will destroy the stickers.
- Shadow Strike Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2012)
- Series / Number: 1 / 011
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters
- Part of the fourth wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Deluxe Class toys, Shadow Strike Bumblebee is a redeco of "Robots in Disguise" Deluxe Class Bumblebee, and is cast in gray, yellow, and translucent blue plastic. He features new yellow stripe patterns and deco, with some gray and black paint details here and there.
- Terrorcon Bumblebee (Deluxe Class, August 10, 2012)
- Accessories: "Terrorcon Zori" Arms Micron
- Meant to represent Bumblebee turned into a vicious monster after being infused with Dark Energon, "Terrorcon Bumblebee" is the Arms Micron Bee molding done in black, gray, and clear-purple. Rather than his nominal Arms Micron partner, B.B., he instead comes with Terrorcon Zori, a clear-purple version of Soundwave's Micron partner. This set was available as an AEON stores exclusive in Japan.
- Bumblebee (Dark Energon Series Deluxe, 2012)
- Number: 001
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters
- Known designers: Andrew Franks (deco artist)
- Another Dark-Energon-infused iteration of Bumblebee, but still an Autobot and not a brutal killing machine, Prime: Dark Energon Bumblebee is a BigBadToyStore-exclusive redeco of "Robots in Disguise" Deluxe Class Bumblebee, and is cast in translucent glittery-gold and opaque blue plastics as an homage to Generation 1 Goldbug.
- Though he was packaged on an individual card, he was initially sold as part of a set with the Dark Energon versions of Knock Out, Starscream, and Wheeljack. He was eventually made available on his own, and the Dark Energon Series toys were eventually made available in Singapore as mass-retail releases.
- Remote Controlled Bumblebee (2012)
- Accessories: Remote control
- An electronic Bumblebee, operable by remote control. As well as driving around, the remote control allows you to convert Bumblebee from car to robot and trigger his punching action.
- Bumblebee vs. Starscream: Ultimate Opponents (Entertainment Pack, 2012)
- Accessories: Arm-mounted weapon
- This Deluxe Class Bumblebee is a redeco of his First Edition release in a darker, more orange shade of yellow plastic, similar to the same mold's NYCC exclusive version. He features brighter silver highlights and an inexplicable recoloring of his racing stripes to an aqua blue, which fades back to their regular black halfway along with his car mode.
- Bumblebee came packed-in with a redeco of First Edition Starscream, small unarticulated figurines of Silas and a MECH soldier, as well as a DVD containing the episodes Convoy, Sick Mind and Out of His Head. The two-pack was also available in Australian markets virtually unchanged, except the DVD was replaced with a booklet including short (and by that, we mean one sentence) bios as well as Tech Specs for most of the characters.
- Bumblebee (Weaponizer, 2012)
- Series / Number: 1 / 002
- Japanese release date: 2012-11-30
- Accessories: Blaster pistol (Hasbro & Takara), "B.B. A" Arms Micron (TakaraTomy only)
- Part of the first wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Weaponizer Class toys, Bumblebee is a large, roughly Leader-sized mold with a simplified transformation scheme, more accurate proportions, and a grand total of four fake wheels on his person due to said transformation. He comes with a double-barreled blaster pistol which can be mounted onto his hands, forearms, and trunk.
- His main gimmicks, however, are the two large mini-guns hidden in his hood-chest, which can deploy and "weaponize" either mode. When his robot head/engine block is pressed down, the mini-guns swing out from his hood-chest and spin, while a red LED inside his torso lights up briefly. Pushing on the gray lever/the center front fender portion (both on his chest) briefly lights up the LED again and swings the mini-guns back into his body.
- His stock photography (& his commercial appearance) gives him a completely different vehicle deco compared to the final product, with the final toy having fewer paint operations overall. The final product lacks the stripe patterns between the front wheels and doors due to that patch being made of unpaintable plastic, shrinks the stripes on the hood, tapers the door stripes towards the front, and extends it towards the rear wheels, rearranges the stripes on the trunk, roof, and behind the engine block, shrinks the Autobot symbol on the roof, and moves said symbol to the front of the hood. The hood stripes, in particular, have been significantly shrunk into what are essentially pinstripes.
- A running change variant of this figure features much thicker stripes on his hood chest.
- The Japanese release, dubbed Gatling Bumblebee, sports metallic gold paint on most of his paintable yellow plastic, and some silver details such as the stomach and the rims. He comes with a gray version of his Arms Micron, B.B.. Unlike the initial Hasbro release (and not the running change version), the pinstripes on the hood, doors, and rear wheels are much thicker.
- Bumblebee Evolution 2-pack (201?)
- Accessories:
Handgun, arm-mounted twin-cannon, two unique Scaplets
- Accessories:
- Battle damaged redecos of Generations and Prime First Edition Deluxe Class Bumblebee were supposed to be released in a "Bumblebee Evolution 2-pack." This was supposed to be damage inflicted by the two included, uniquely colored Scraplets. Sadly, this set never came to be, but its existence was first revealed on display at HasCon 2017.
Beast Hunters
- Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2013)
- Series / Number: 2 / 001
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters, Eagleshot Bow, 6 missiles
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- Part of the first wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Deluxe Class toys, Bumblebee is a redeco and extensive retool of the Robots in Disguise Deluxe Class Bumblebee mold, transforming into a heavily-modified Urbana 500 muscle car that's covered in spikes. Bumblebee's roof has been retooled with an additional 5 mm peg-hole, and the hinge joint at the rear windshield has been removed.
- He retains the two arm-mounted blasters, and now additionally comes with a larger-scale "Eagleshot Bow", a large, spring-loaded missile-launching bow, as well as six missiles. The missiles can slide in and store on brackets in various places, with two brackets located on top of the bow, and two rotating brackets located on each door. The prods on the sides of the bow can be opened manually, but are meant to open automatically when a missile is inserted into the launcher.
- His instructions include the first chapter of the Tales of the Beast Hunters series.
- This version of the mold also served as the basis of the non-toy Beast Wars: Uprising incarnation of Saberback.
- Night Shadow Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2013)
- Series / Number: 2 / 015
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters, Eaglefire Bow, 6 missiles
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- Part of the fifth wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Deluxe Class toys, Night Shadow Bumblebee is a redeco of his Beast Hunters toy, sporting a black and gold color scheme similar to his depiction in the third season of the Prime cartoon, but with additional teal and silver details. His bow has been redecoed into the "Eaglefire Bow", representing an upgraded version of his previous "Eagleshot Bow".
- His stock photos depict his hood/chest as being cast in a mixture of black and gold plastic, whereas the final product casts these parts just in black.
- His instructions include the twenty-third chapter of the Tales of the Beast Hunters series.
- Talking Bumblebee / SFX Bumblebee (Battlemaster Class, 2013)
- Accessories: Blaster pistol, bow
- Part of the only wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Battlemaster Class toys, "Talking Bumblebee" is a redeco/retool of his Robots in Disguise Weaponizer toy, sporting a black and yellow color scheme similar to his depiction in the third season of the Prime cartoon, as well as a new head-sculpt that features a mouth. He comes with a massive bow and features a talking gimmick (voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch!).
- The European release replaced the voice clips with various sound effects and was accordingly named "SFX Bumblebee".
- Bumblebee & Blight (Legion 2-pack, 2013)
- Accessories: Eagleshot Bow
- For the Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising subline imprint, the Cyberverse series 3 Bumblebee sculpt was recolored in (vaguely) show-accurate black and yellow colors, similar to Deluxe Class Night Shadow Bumblebee. This version of Bumblebee was only available in a two-pack with Blight.
- As a second wave Predacons Rising release, this set was only available as a Target exclusive in the US (and not in Canada, Australia or Europe), and on top of that was by far the rarest and hardest to find of all Predacons Rising products. For some reason, it was stocked by various Japan-based import stores, though, thus making this the easiest (though not cheapest) way to obtain the two-pack. Like the Abominus giftset, this two-pack features no Cyberverse logo on its packaging.
- Nova Blast Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2013)
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters, Eagleshot Bow, 6 missiles
- Part of the "Predacons Rising" subline imprint, Nova Blast Bumblebee is a redeco of his Beast Hunters Deluxe Class toy that changes some black and yellow sections to blue, changes some paint operations, and adds light blue flames to the sides of his hood/chest.
- As a second wave Predacons Rising release, Nova Blast Bumblebee was only available as a Target exclusive in the United States (and not in Canada, Australia or Europe).
- Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2014)
- Series / Number: 4 / 001
- Accessories: Sword
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- Part of the first wave of 2014 Prime: Beast Hunters Deluxe Class toys, Bumblebee is an enlarged
knockoffcopy of his Beast Hunters Cyberverse toy, though with minor detail differences to be more accurate as a Deluxe and the replacement of ball joints with more robust universal joints. As such, his parts count, complexity and articulation are all significantly lower than in previous Deluxes.
- Due to being released after the Christmas season and before the launching of the Age of Extinction toy line, Bumblebee and the other figures of his wave were ultimately only available in Europe and Hong Kong, in European packaging in both instances (an unusual occurrence for Hong Kong).
- His sword is reused for Takara's Movie Advanced Series Ratchet.
Rescue Bots
- Bumblebee (Rescue Bot, 2011)
- Part of the first wave of Rescue Bots toys, Bumblebee transforms into a yellow muscle car which presumably can be used by the humans in the rescue team to speed to problem sites, while staying within the speed limit, of course. Tugging either end of the vehicle will autotransform him back into robot mode. He has 5 mm compatible hands in robot mode.
- Bumblebee Rescue Garage (Playset, 2011)
- The Bumblebee Rescue Garage comes with a smaller Bumblebee toy not unlike an RPM or Speed Stars toy in function. Standing the vehicle on end reveals Bumblebee's robot mode embossed on its underside. The back of Bumblebee's car mode also has a cavity in which the included Axel Frazier figure can ride.
- Electronic Bumblebee (2013)
- A larger non-transforming toy, Bumblebee features electronic lights and sounds. His right hand is replaced by a "rescue drill" which oddly resembles Animated Bumblebee's stingers, which spins when you press a button on his right forearm.
Energize
- Bumblebee (2012)
- Accessories: Jackhammer
- Bumblebee's original Rescue Bots mold was retooled to add sockets onto his hood and released as part of the "Energize" line. He also features translucent blue plastic on his hood and doors, and has a jackhammer accessory made from the same plastic which plugs into the sockets on his hood.
- Bumblebee and Graham Burns (2-pack, 2013)
- Available in a two-pack with Graham Burns, Bumblebee is a non-transforming but articulated figure, with double-swivel shoulder, swivel wrists, neck, and joined-together leg swivels. His sculpt is based much more on the rather more show model than his previous Rescue Bots toys. His left hand is morphed into a blue jackhammer as part of the "Energize" theme.
- Bumblebee (2013)
- The same non-transforming figurine of jackhammer-having Bumblebee was also available in a single bag, without Graham Burns, without any changes to the toy proper.
- Bumblebee Rescue Repair Station (Playset, 2013)
- Accessories: "Rescue launcher", rescue missile
- The Bumblebee Rescue Repair Station is a "3D pop-up playset" that unfolds into a play area for Rescue Bots figures, and features a working "rescue hatch" and spring-loaded "rescue launcher". It is actually the Danger Room playset from Hasbro's Marvel Superhero Squad line in new colors, but does both retool out that playset's Sentinel head with a crane arm claw and include a new sticker sheet. It was released in international markets to no fanfare at some point in 2013, apparently being available in at least Latin America and South Korea (the latter being English packaging with a Korean sticker).
- The included Bumblebee is the same deco as the individual non-transforming figure.
- Silver Force Optimus Prime and Bumblebee (2-pack, 2014)
- Available with Silver Force Optimus Prime, Silver Force Bumblebee is a redeco of the Energize non-transforming figure, featuring silver through all his body. It was not sold in the United States, apparently being exclusive to Canadian Target stores.
- Bumblebee and Scrapmaster (2-pack, 2014)
- Available with Scrapmaster, Bumblebee is a redeco of the "Energize" non-transforming figure (but is not branded as such) and features a color scheme reminiscent of his Prime: Beast Hunters form.
- Bumblebee and MorBot (2-pack, 2014)
- Available with MorBot, Bumblebee is an all-new non-transfoming figure based on the Rescan figure that turns into a motorcycle.
- Amusingly, the way Bumblebee packaged is positioned like he was petting MorBot.
- Bumblebee & Doc Greene (Figure 2-pack, 2014)
- The jackhammer Bumblebee figurine was repackaged again in the unified Playskool Heroes style packaging, this time partnered with Doc Green (himself an unchanged version of the toy previously packed in with the Boulder figurine).
Beam Box
- Bumblebee (Beam Box Figure, 2013)
- Bumblebee is a non-transforming figure with no articulation, mounted on a rocky base. Inserting him into the Beam Box Game System unlocks Bumblebee into the game.
Rescan Series
- Bumblebee (Rescan, Wave 1, 2014)
- Part of the first wave of the "Rescan" series, Bumblebee features a spring-loaded transformation and transforms into a motorcycle.
- This figure was redecoed and given a new head for the Rescan series motorcycle version of Chase.
- Bumblebee (Rescan, Wave 2, 2014)
- Part of the second wave of the Rescan series, Bumblebee now transforms into a very goofy-looking raptor dinosaur. Pressing his robot mode chest in raptor mode activates a chomping jaw action.
- Bumblebee (Rescan, 2015)
- Released in wave 7 of the Rescan series, this time Bee is back to his good old muscle-car alternate mode, which hadn't been available for a while. This toy is an all-new mold, which ultimately isn't very show-like, with his hood & grill becoming his chestplate rather than his roof.
- Bumblebee's engineering and transformation pattern is also shared with Quickshadow and Rescue Bots Academy Medix, who are both all-new molds. A slight redeco of this figure was released in 2018, and another redeco was released in 2022 as part of the Classic Heroes Team toyline.
- Bumblebee (Rescan, 2017)
- Released in the 13th wave of Rescan toys, this new body for Bumblebee changes from robot to VTOL aircraft and back when his cockpit is folded down. He features articulated elbows and 5 mm compatible fists. Oddly for a Rescue Bots figure, and in common with Salvage, this articulation isn't the result of his transformation scheme.
- This figure was significantly retooled and redecoed into the Rescan series VTOL version of Blades, which was later given a new head and redecoed into Rescue Bots Academy "Academy Rescue Team" Whirl, and more extensively retooled into the plane versions of Rescue Bots Academy Hot Shot and Heatwave.
'
- Bumblebee (Rescan, 2017)
- Also released in the 13th wave of Rescan toys, this Bumblebee is a redeco of his earlier Raptor release in a color scheme reminiscent of his Prime: Beast Hunters form.
- Bumblebee Rock Rescue Team (Rescue Pack, 2017)
- Part of the first wave of Rescue Pack figures, Bumblebee is an all-new mold that changes from robot to rock-climbing buggy in a few easy steps. He includes two rescue Mini-Cons, Hunter the Lion-bot and Talon the Eagle-Bot, as well as a new Cody Burns figure who can interact with bots in several different combinations. Hunter can be assembled into a crane arm which can be mounted on the back of Bumblebee's vehicle mode.
- This set and its wavemate showed up in stores without any word from Hasbro.
- A redeco of just the Bumblebee toy, with red accents replaced by green, was released in wave 16 of the Rescan series. It was retooled into "Academy Rescue Team" Hot Shot, while Off-Road Rescue Hot Shot is functionally a scaled-up version of this figure; both feature visual elements based on Rescue Bots Academy Hot Shot's cartoon design, and that of Armada Hot Shot, while the larger figure also features electronic lights and sounds. The cement mixer version of Salvage shares engineering and a transformation pattern with this toy, but is a different mold.
- Bumblebee (Rescan, 2018)
- This Bumblebee is a single-packed redeco of Bumblebee's rock-crawler vehicle mode from the Bumblebee Rock Rescue Team, primarily replacing some of the red accents with green, and omitting the two Mini-Cons and Cody Burns. This version was re-released in 2019 under the Rescue Bots Academy toyline with no changes.
- Bumblebee (Rescan, 2018)
- A slightly redecoed version of the 2015 Rescan car version of Bumblebee was released in 2018.[1] The changes are mostly limited to altered hood deco, now continuous with the stripes on the roof, an all-silver waist, removal of the knee garnish and rear side windows, and a big red Rescue Bot logo on each door, which replaces the white logo on the roof in the original release. The figure's internal frame mechanism is also now black, rather than yellow.
- This figure was later re-released unchanged in the Rescue Bots Academy toyline.
Superchargers
- Bumblebee (Supercharger, 2015)
- Along with Sideswipe, forming the first (and only) wave of "Superchargers", this version of Bumblebee is slightly bigger than a Rescan figure, and transforms into an F-1-style race car with pull-back motor action. This gimmick, located at the rear of the vehicle mode, further limits the figure's articulation even by Rescue Bots standards, as the legs do not splay out.
Epic Figures
- Bumblebee (Epic Figure, 2014)
- Epic Bumblebee is a 12-inch-tall non-transforming figure. His chest opens up to fit a 2-Pack human figure, and features 5 mm fist holes to hold rescue tool accessories from other figures.
Flip Racers
- Bumblebee Quick Launch Garage (Playset, 2017)
- Part of the first wave of Flip Racer Launchers, Bumblebee transforms automatically from a super-deformed car to robot when the vehicle mode is lifted up and placed on its end. A spring-loaded launcher will shoot Bumblebee under the airport at a high speed. The launcher is compatible with the Chomp & Chase Raceway.
- Optimus Prime Race Track Trailer (Playset, 2017)
- A race car version of Bumblebee is included with the Optimus Prime Race Track Trailer along with a blue redeco of Blurr.
- Optimus Prime Race Track Trailer (Bonus Playset, 2017)
- When bought exclusively at Walmart, this toy would include Flip Racers Heatwave the Fire-Bot and MorBot as bonus.
- Bumblebee (2018)
- Part of the fourth wave of Flip Racer Single Packs, Bumblebee transforms automatically into super-deformed muscle car to robot when the vehicle mode is lifted up and placed on its end.[2]
- Griffin Rock Off-Road Rescue Team (Flip Racer 3-pack,
2018)
- This version of Bumblebee was to be released in a 3-pack alongside Brushfire and Chase the Police-Bot, but never came to be.
Knight Watch
- Knight Watch Bumblebee (2017)
- Accessories: Mini-Con Freezer Burn, Mini-Con Wingblaze, wings/shield
- Knight Watch Bumblebee is a large figure that transforms into a dragon to tie in with The Last Knight. He includes two Mini-Con partner dragons who "combine" (by being held in the top and bottom of Bee's fist) into the Double-Dragon Axe.
Rescue Guard
- Rescue Guard Bumblebee (2018)
- Accessories: Rescue Pet Growl, Rescue Pet Sergeant Slobber
- Rescue Guard Bumblebee is a large figure that transforms into a race car. He includes two partner rescue dogs that convert into armor and rescue tools that attach to Bumblebee in either vehicle or bot mode.
Kre-O
- Stealth Bumblebee (2012)
- Set number: 98814
- Japanese release date: March 20 2013
- Pieces: 257
- Kreons: Bumblebee, Security Guard x2, Biker, Bulldog
- Accessories: Handgun, shotgun, submachinegun, barrel x2, flak jacket
- The "Stealth Bumblebee" set comes with a predominantly-black version of Bumblebee that rebuilds into a sports car capable of carrying a single Kreon. His right arm ends in a rotating barrel, simulating a built-in blaster-arm.
- The accompanying Bumblebee Kreon is based on the Prime version of the character. He lacks a right hand, instead having a clear-blue cylinder that slips over the cuff, simulating an arm-blaster. He uses the Ironhide helmet and the Prowl door-wing backpack. Like most of the 2012 sets, Bumblebee comes with his own extra clear "Energon" torso piece. This piece was apparently intended to feature the Bumblebee tampographs at some point, but like all of the extra torsos in this year's assortment, it's been been left unimpressively blank.
- Battle Net Bumblebee (2013)
- Set number: A2202
- Pieces: 178
- Kreons: Bumblebee, Captain
- Accessories: Scoped pistol
- Available as part of the Battle Net Bumblebee set, Bumblebee can be built into a robot, or into an offroad vehicle with a net launcher mounted on the back. Accompanying him is the Predacon Stormrazor as well as Kreons of himself and a human Kreon resembling Captain Fanzone.
- Autobot Command Center (Playset, 2013)
- Set number: A5412
- Pieces: 461
- Kreons: Arcee, Bumblebee, Knock Out, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Shockwave
- The Autobot Command Center playset includes a Bumblebee Kreon, again based on Prime Bumblebee, only this time his tampographs are a bit more detailed. In lieu of the arm cannon, Bee has access to a variety of weapons stored on a weapons rack.
- The set also comes with Prime-style Kreons of Arcee, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Shockwave, and "secret" Kreon Knock Out, who was unnamed and shown only in silhouette on the packaging. The set also included a brick-built Rippersnapper beast.
Robots in Disguise
- Bumblebee Disc Demolisher (2015)
- Available only in the "Bumblebee Disc Demolishor" set, this Bumblebee based on his appearance in the Robots in Disguise series. He carries an Andorian blaster pistol from the Kre-O Star Trek line. He uses the new 2015 style of Kreon hips and torso, with a hollow hip-peg and a central post inside the torso for increased grip... which also makes them incompatible with about four years' worth of Kreons.
- His massive vehicle, based on the character's vehicle mode, features a pop-up launcher in its trunk section, which fires plastic rings via pressure-launch. There is just enough space behind the windshield to seat a Kreon, though their noggin will stick out just a bit through a hole in the roof. The set also comes with a "stasis cell", used to imprison Kreons and kept shut with a rubber band.
- Like the rest of the Robots in Disguise building sets, these sets were not released at normal retail in the US. They were sold in Taiwan and Singapore from January 2015, and later in Canada from May 2015. The eventually were made available in the US through "closeout" chains like TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshall's.
- Bumblebee (Custom Kreon, 2015)
- Set number: B1234
- Pieces: 26
- Accessories: Axe, Arm-cannon, Blaster pistol, Sniper rifle, transparent arms, body & helmet, rack
- Part of the first assortment of Robots in Disguise Custom Kreons, this Bumblebee is the only one of the character with his battle mask deployed. He comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his extra pieces. Unlike the previous Custom Kreons, he doesn't have a chromed helmet, but he does come with the standard clear-plastic helmet, torso, and legs, plus clear-plastic normal Kreon arms. He also has a clip-on cannon, a sniper rifle, a blaster pistol, and a chromed axe.
- Despite what the instructions say, the body piece cannot be pegged down between the leg parts installed on the display stand. However this can be amended by putting a 2x1 plate piece there to "mount" the torso slightly higher.
- Armor Up Bumblebee (Custom Kreon, 2017)
- Set Number: B5709
- Blizzard Strike Bumblebee (2017)
- Set Number:B5713
- Night Strike Bumblebee (2017?)
- Set Number: ??
- Pieces: 23
- Accessories: Scoped pistol, torso armor, 2 shoulder armor pieces, 2 arm extensions, left & right leg extensions
- Set Number: ??
- Released without any prior announcement from Hasbro through Dollar General stores, the new type of Custom Kreon features extension parts for the arms and legs used for the China-exclusive Armor Hero Captor sets, as well as extra torso and shoulder armor, to make much larger, more posable Kreons. Each character comes in three color sets (in theory): "Armor Up", "Blizzard Strike" and "Night Strike", using the same parts, though every version comes with a different facial expression.
- Be careful with the "Blizzard Strike" sets, as the clear-plastic clips used to secure the leg extensions are prone to cracking.
- Only six of the twelve sets shown have seen release: Bumblebee's "Night Strike" coloration has not been found in stores yet.
- Bumblebee (Mini-Con Combiners, unreleased)
- Accessories: Rifle, scoped pistol, grenade launcher, clip-on gatling gun, blaster
- "Mini-Con Combiner"' Bumblebee comes with one standard Kreon and four Cityville-syle mini-Kreons of the same character, each one a different incarnation from various franchises. With some extra parts, the mini-Kreons become limbs to make a larger combiner-bot.
- The torso-Kreon and one Mini-Con are based on versions of Generation 1 Bumblebee: Classics (with an arm-cannon instead of a hand-held blaster, oddly) and "Thrilling 30" Bumblebee (Prowl helmet) respectively. The remaining three Mini-Con Bumblebees are based on "Aligned" Bumblebee bodies: War for Cybertron (Bumblebee helmet), Prime (Ratchet helmet), and Rescue Bots (Jazz helmet).
- First shown at New York Toy Fair 2015, the Mini-Con Combiners were apparently cancelled without fanfare... a decision that must have come late in the day, as they went on to star in their own promotional animation, "Stuck in a Tree", released about eight months after the trade show.
Go!
- Hunter Bumblebee (04-27-2013)
- Japanese ID number: G14
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters, "Needle Arrow" bow, 6 missiles
- Hunter Bumblebee is a redeco of the Beast Hunters Deluxe Bumblebee toy, released in TakaraTomy's Transformers Go! toyline. He's cast in a slightly more orange shade of yellow and has some minor differences in paint as well, such as shinier headlights and entirely black lines on his hood as opposed to the Beast Hunters toy's partially silver ones.
Construct-Bots
- Beast Hunters Bumblebee (Scout, 2014)
- Pieces: 34
- Beast Hunters Bumblebee turns into a car. He includes a non-firing crossbow weapon.
- Like most Beast Hunters Construct-Bots, Bumblebee never saw release in the United States.
Robots in Disguise (2015)
Virtually every toy in this list has a scannable insignia sticker on it. For Hasbro releases, it temporarily unlocks that toy as a playable character in the Robots in Disguise mobile game, and can only be scanned once per day. TakaraTomy releases simply check that off on their mobile app's collection list. It's honestly quicker and less redundant to say which toys don't have this feature. Meanwhile, scanning the Combiner Force toys' insignia stickers gives the player Tickets, which can be spent by giving them to Cryostase via the main map menu.
Legion Class
- Bumblebee (Legion Class, 2015-2017)
- Part of the first wave of Robots in Disguise Legion figures, Bumblebee transforms into a (fictional) Griffin Motors 1995 Windblazer. In robot mode, his fists & shoulders are compatible with 3 mm-peg weapons, although he does not come with any himself. Unlike some of the figures below, this Bumblebee does not feature a faux front car chest window. His scannable Autobot insignia is on his driver-side door in vehicle mode, becoming his right arm in robot mode. This badge is accessible while he is still in-package.
- The initial release's instructions had two errors: Bumblebee's head needs to flip forward when transforming into vehicle mode, but this will make his vehicle mode slightly bumped up from the back (this can be remedied by flipping his head underneath). The instructions also tell you to flip his right hand up instead on his vehicle bonnet/body piece. Later releases fixes the issues. Probably due to tolerance issues or a design flaw, The right side of Bumblebee's alternate mode rear section has a slight gap if not properly transformed.
- Despite being succeeded by the "Night Ops" redeco in wave 4, the original yellow and black deco of the figure made a comeback in subsequent waves, in two different packaging variants as part of the "Mini-Con Weaponizers" (2016) and "Combiner Force" (2017) subline imprints. While the "Weaponizers" version has only ever been found at retail in United States, the "Combiner Force" version saw a more widespread international release again.
- Bumblebee Clear Ver. (EZ Collection, 2015)
- Release date: March 21, 2015
- A redeco of Legion Class Bumblebee in clear plastic, "Bumblebee Clear Ver." was a promotional freebie at Japanese Toys"R"Us stores in late March 2015, given to customers who spent ¥3000 or more on Adventure product. Like most of the clear colored Adventure Legion Class exclusives, Bumblebee has no paint operations save for his face.
- Bumblebee VS Underbite (Legion 2-pack, 2015)
- This Bumblebee is a redeco of the Legion Class figure based on Bumblebee's armor from the Robots in Disguise season 1 finale. Like his original toy, his scannable Autobot insignia is on his driver-side door in vehicle mode, becoming his right arm in robot mode.
- He was only available in a Toys"R"Us exclusive "Clash of the Transformers" two-pack, with a redeco of Legion Class Underbite.
- Night Ops Bumblebee (Legion Class, 2015)
- A stealth-themed redeco of the Legion Class Bumblebee figure, Night Ops Bumblebee features light grey and black plastic and different paint applications compared to the "Clash of the Transformers" 2-pack.
- Like the original deco of this sculpt, his scannable Autobot insignia is on his drivers-side door in vehicle mode, becoming his right arm in robot mode. This badge is accessible while he is still in-package.
- Also, Night Ops Bumblebee has been released twice as well: First in 2015 in the original Robots in Disguise packaging design, and then again in 2016 in the Mini-Con Weaponizers subline imprint packaging refresh.
- Black Knight Bumblebee (EZ Collection, 2015)
- A different black and yellow stealth redeco of the Legion Bumblebee figure, Black Knight Bumblebee was released as a free gift with the September 2015 issue of Japan's TV Magazine.
- Team Bumblebee VS Megatronus Set (EZ Collection multi-pack, 2015)
- ID Number: TAV34
- Release date: December 19, 2015
- Available in this set, this version of Bumblebee is a redeco of the original Legion Class Bumblebee, featuring additional paint details. As the toy features a deco accurate to his robot mode, his front window features an Autobot insignia, and his arm's side windows and back windows are unpainted. Bumblebee was released as a four-pack along with Strongarm, Sideswipe, and Megatronus.
- Unlike the Hasbro release, the toy features no scan-badges on the toy, instead it was printed on one small card, along with the other 3 badges. The stock photo features darker silver paint as opposed to the final product's plain silver.
- Like the rest of the Adventure EZ Collection sets, some online retailers like Amazon Japan were still selling it 2 years later at greatly reduced prices (70% off).
- Team Bumblebee vs Thunderhoof Set (EZ Collection multi-pack, 2016
- ID Number: TAV48
- Release date: May 31, 2016
- Another release of the EZ Collection Bumblebee figure was released as a four-pack along with Windblade, Thunderhoof, and Fixit.
One-Step Changers
- Bumblebee (One-Step Changer, 2015)
- Release Date: 2015-05-30
- Japanese ID Number: TED-07
- Part of the first wave of Robots in Disguise One-Step Changers, Bumblebee transforms from robot to vehicle in one step! One-Step Bumblebee also features fake wheels on his robot mode shoulders. His scannable Autobot insignia is centered on his robot mode chestplate. The badge is still accessible while still in-package. Due to how the legs are molded, Bumblebee cannot ride on Stomp & Chomp Grimlock.
- The TakaraTomy release of One-Step Changer Bumblebee (as part of the Easy Dynamic Series line) features extensive paint applications to resemble his cartoon counterpart. He also features a different scannable Autobot insignia on his robot mode chestplate.
- Night Ops Bumblebee (One-Step Changer, 2015)
- Part of the fourth wave of the Transformers: Robots in Disguise One-Step Changers, Night Ops Bumblebee is a Stealth-themed redeco of the One-Step Bumblebee figure above.
- Like his original toy, his scannable Autobot insignia is centered on his robot mode chestplate. The badge is still accessible while still in-package.
- Robots in Disguise Collection (6-pack, 2015)
- A 6-pack featuring the One-Step figures of Bumblebee, Steeljaw, Grimlock, Sideswipe, Underbite (all of them unchanged from their individual releases), and a new One-Step Optimus Prime figure available only in this set. This set was exclusive to Target stores in the United States and to Toys"R"Us stores in Canada.
- Sideswipe, Steeljaw, Underbite, and Bumblebee's badges are all scannable in-package.
- Bumblebee (One-Step Changer, 2015–2016)
- Release date: 2016-01-30
- Japanese ID Number: TED-17
- Part of the eighth wave of Robots in Disguise One-Step Changers, this new mold of One Step Bumblebee features a transformation similar to Age of Extinction Drift's and Robots in Disguise (2015) Sideswipe's. His scannable badge is on his vehicle mode's roof. Although the badge is accessible while in-package, the badge was neutered by a thin rubber band, unless you want to take the toy out from the packaging. This Bumblebee can ride on Stomp & Chomp Grimlock, but does not activate any of the larger figure's gimmicks.
- The TakaraTomy release of the toy, dubbed Quick Bumblebee, features extensive paint applications to resemble his cartoon counterpart's colors. He also features a different scannable Autobot insignia on his roof.
- The toy was labelled as "Switchblade Bumblebee" in the Robots in Disguise mobile game, whilst official product descriptions name it "Patrol Mode Bumblebee", but neither descriptor is present on the toy's packaging. This figure was released twice: First in late 2015 in the original Robots in Disguise packaging design, and then again in early 2016 in the Mini-Con Weaponizers subline imprint packaging refresh.
- This sculpt was also used to make Cyberverse 1-Step Changer Bumblebee.
- Energon Boost Bumblebee (One-Step Changer, 2016)
- Energon Boost Bumblebee is a repaint of the 2016 Bumblebee mold, featuring Energon light blue detailing.
- Like his original mold, his scannable badge is on his vehicle mode's roof, still accessible while in-package.
- Bumblebee (One-Step Changer, 2017)
- Part of 9th wave of One-Step Changers, and the first of the Combiner Force subline, this Bumblebee is yet another new mold, whose transformation is similar to the Bumblebee 2-in-1 Blaster role-play accessory. Like most One-Step Changers, Bumblebee features limited articulation on the shoulders, and features 5 mm compatible hands. Bumblebee is also a shellformer due to his transformation scheme.
- His scannable badge is on the left side of his vehicle mode's kibble, accessible while in-package. This Bumblebee cannot ride on Stomp & Chomp Grimlock due to how the legs are molded.
Warrior Class
- Bumblebee (Warrior Class, 2014/2015, 2017)
- Japanese Release Date: 2015-03-21
- Japanese ID Number: TAV01
- Accessories: Decepticon Hunter
- Known designers: Yūya Ōnishi (TakaraTomy)
- First released as part of the first wave of the Warrior Class assortment, Bumblebee (again) transforms into a fictional Griffin Motors 1995 Windblazer. He includes a Decepticon Hunter sword accessory, which can be held via 5 mm holes in his hands. His scannable Autobot insignia is centered on his chestplate. This badge is easily scannable while still in-package.
- One of his stock photos is mistransformed: his back piece isn't folded down. Despite being succeeded by his alternate redecoes, the original figure eventually saw release in the 11th wave of the Warrior Class line with the "Combiner Force" packaging. His scannable sticker is also altered, but scanning the badge only unlocks Energon currency, but not the character.
- Like the Legion Class figure and one of the One-Step Changer figures, despite being succeeded by the "Night Ops" redeco in wave 4 and the "Night Strike" redeco in wave 5, the original yellow and black deco of the figure was also re-released in subsequent waves, in two different packaging variants as part of the "Mini-Con Weaponizers" and "Combiner Force" subline imprints, both of them released in 2017.
- The TakaraTomy version features extensive paint details for the figure, and features a different scannable Autobot insignia on his robot mode chest. Scanning this with the Transformers Chronicle mobile app unlocks the toy to the app's collection list.
- Night Ops Bumblebee (Warrior Class, 2015)
- Accessories: Decepticon Hunter
- A stealth-themed redeco of the Warrior Class Bumblebee figure, with its opaque plastic colors inverted.
- Like his original toy, his scannable Autobot insignia is centered on his chestplate. This badge is easily scannable while still in-package.
- Bumblebee (Warrior Class, 2015)
- Accessories: Decepticon Hunter
- A redeco of Warrior Class Bumblebee based on his appearance in the Robots in Disguise season 1 finale, this figure was released as part of the Clash of the Transformers subline imprint that's exclusive to Toys"R"Us stores around the world, including Japan.
- Like his original toy, his scannable Autobot insignia is centered on his chestplate. This badge is easily scannable while still in-package.
- The TakaraTomy release of the toy, also a Toys"R"Us exclusive, is nearly identical to the Hasbro version, but features a different scan-badge on his chest. Scanning this in the Transformers Chronicle app unlocks Clash Bumblebee on the list.
- Bumblebee Supreme Mode (Warrior Class, 2015-10-24)
- Japanese ID Number: TAV-29
- Accessories: 2 Decepticon Hunters
- Bumblebee Supreme Mode is a redeco/retool of the Warrior Class Bumblebee, based on his appearance in the Robots in Disguise season 1 finale: Battlegrounds. Bumblebee also features an extra Decepticon hunter, which can be wielded with his pair of 5 mm compatible hands.
- Bumblebee Supreme Mode also features a different scannable Autobot insignia on his robot mode chest. Scanning this with the Transformers Chronicle mobile app unlocks the toy to the app's collection list.
- Night Strike Bumblebee (Warrior Class, 2016)
- Accessories: Decepticon Hunter
- Night Strike Bumblebee is yet another redeco of Warrior Class Bumblebee, with his vehicle mode deco inspired by Animated Bumblebee...with a hint of flame tampographs. His tranparent blue plastic is now molded in smoke gray. Night Strike Bumblebee features a metallic sheen on the yellow plastic, and light blue unpaintable plastic and paint applications, making it somehow similar to an Allspark Power figure. The really poor deco match between the yellow plastic and the yellow paint used on the roof makes the vehicle mode lookin' pretty ugly.
- Like his original toy, his scannable Autobot insignia is centered on his chestplate. This badge is easily scannable while still in-package.
- His current robot mode stock photo is intentionally mistransformed: his side doors/wings were not folded up, a change that persists in the toy's packaging, which was redesigned to allow the doors to act as hip armor.
- Black Knight Bumblebee (Warrior Class, 2016)
- Japanese ID Number: TAV-EX
- Accessories: Decepticon Hunter
- Black Night Bumblebee is yet another black repaint of the original Warrior Class Bumblebee toy. Black Night Bumblebee features a deco similar to, but not the same as, Night Ops Bumblebee's.
- Black Knight Bumblebee is exclusive to stores that participated in the Cybertron Satellite campaign.
- Decepticon Island Showdown (2-pack, 2016)
- Accessories: Decepticon Hunter sword, bladed claw, Decepticon Hunter axe, 2 Decepticon Hunter Prime Swords, Decepticon Hunter long-staff, Decepticon Hunter small-staff, stasis pod
- Available as a 2-pack with Steeljaw, Decepticon Island Showdown Bumblebee is completely unchanged from his individual Warrior Class figure, and he comes with various Decepticon Hunter weapons. The 2-pack also comes with a large stasis pod, which Warrior Class figures can fit into.
Hyper Change Heroes / 3-Step Changers
- Bumblebee (Hyper Change Hero / 3-Step Changer, 2015)
- Japanese Release Date: 2015-03-21
- Japanese ID Number: TED-01

- Bumblebee features 5 mm compatible hands, which can be used to wield any Mini-Cons from the Mini-Con Weaponizers subline. Three-Step Changer/Hyper Change Hero Bumblebee is released in an open package, which allows children to touch the toy.
- His scannable Autobot insignia is on his Robot Mode chest. The badge is accessible while he is still in-package.
- The TakaraTomy release of the toy, named "Big Bumblebee", includes some added black paint detailing. He also features a different scannable Autobot insignia on his robot mode chest. Scanning this with the Transformers Chronicle Mobile App unlocks the toy to the app's collection list. Unlike the American release, Big Bumblebee is packaged in a windowed box, instead of an an open package.
- Bumblebee (Clash of the Transformers 3-Step, 2015)
- Japanese ID Number: TEDEX
- Accessories: Sword
- A redeco and retool of the Three-Step Bumblebee figure above, this toy is based on Bumblebee's appearance in the episode Battlegrounds, and features a small sword, which is reused from the Warrior Class Bumblebee figure. It was released as part of the Clash of the Transformers subline imprint that's exclusive to Toys"R"Us stores.
- His scannable Autobot insignia is on his robot mode chest. This badge is accessible while he is still in-package.

- Power Surge Bumblebee (Three-Step Changer, 2017)
- Part of the 3rd wave of Three-Step Changers from the Combiner Force sublime, Power Surge Bumblebee is yet another repaint of the original Three-Step Bumblebee. This time sporting a dark blue color scheme, with oddly shaped blue lightning bolts protruding from his scannable Autobot insignia.

Titan Changers
- Bumblebee (Titan Changer, 2015/2017)
- Part of the first wave of Titan Changers, Bumblebee transforms from a 1995 Windblazer into a robot in just 4 easy steps! Titan Changers Bumblebee also features limited articulation on his shoulders, and 5 mm compatible hands.
- In 2017, the figure was re-released under the Combiner Force packaging.
Super Class
- Super Bumblebee (Super Titan, 2015)
- A larger figure of Bumblebee, he transforms into a (fictional) Griffin Motors 1995 Windblazer, with a spoiler that helps him balance in robot mode. His articulation is limited to the arms, and he sports 5 mm-compatible ports on his hands (if you're willing to make him go into battle with very small weapons). While his transformation is billed as "3-steps", his vehicle-to-robot conversion only needs a single step.
- Super Bumblebee also features a classic transformation sound when transforming into robot mode. He also features a voice gimmick, accompanied by a blue LED, activated by pressing the insignia on his chest:
- "Transform!"
- "Autobots!"
- "Roll up and roll out!"
- "Let's back out!"
- "Autobots, Maximum Velocity!"
- "Robots in disguise!"
- "Kinda wished I was a bigger bot!" (The irony!)
- "Lieutenant Bumblebee!"
- When you leave the toy idled for several seconds after you pressed his insignia, he will announce "Let's back out!". The mold was later retooled into Authentics Super Bumblebee.
Mini-Con Battle Packs
- Bumblebee with Major Mayhem (Mini-Con Battle Pack, 2016)
- Accessories: Gun, 5 armor pieces (combine to form a weapon)
- Part of the second wave of Battle Packs, Bumblebee is a new Legends/Scout-class-sized mold that also scales with certain Warrior Class figures (Optimus Prime and Megatronus, for example), and he transforms into a car in 7 steps, sharing a near identical transformation scheme with the Warrior Class toy. Battle Pack Bumblebee also features transparent blue armor pieces, which can form a large blaster or be used as armor, based on its appearance in the season one finale, and a smaller gun. He comes with Major Mayhem, A Cyclone Mini-Con which is designed to be launched from the Deployer Crazybolt and Overload toys.
- His scannable Autobot insignia is in his chest, accessible in Robot Mode and in-package.
- Ironjam & Bumblebee Iron Armor (Mini-Con Battle Pack, 2016)
- Japanese ID Number: TAV40
- Accessories: Gun, Iron Armor (combine to form a weapon), Ironjam Mini-con
- The Adventure release of the Mini-Con Battle Pack Bumblebee is a repaint of the Hasbro mold, featuring some paint applications to closely resemble his appearances in the cartoon, while his transparent armor is changed into smoke gray. He also comes with his own Mini-Con Ironjam.
- Sideswipe and Bumblebee - Supreme Armor set (4-Pack, 2016)
- Japanese ID Number: TAV44
- Accessories: Bumblebee's weapons (Gun, Kotetsu Armor (combine to form a weapon), Sideswipe's weapons (Energon spear, claw gauntlets x2,chestplate/helmet, spike band, leg armor), Ironjam Mini-con, Barithunder Mini-Con
- Another release of the Adventure Mini-Con Battle Pack Bumblebee, this toy features transparent blue battle axe and armor parts from the Hasbro release.
- Bumblebee is bundled with Sideswipe and his Mini-Cons Ironjam and Barithunder redecoed in different colors.
Power Surge
- Power Surge Bumblebee and Mini-Con Buzzstrike (Power Heroes, 2016)
- Accessories: Buzzstrike Mini-Con
- Power Surge Bumblebee is a new Voyager-sized mold that transforms into a robot to vehicle in several steps, and it's packed with a voice gimmick, activated by pressing on his head! He also comes with a Buzzstrike Mini-Con, which can be transformed into either an axe or chest armor for Bumblebee, the latter of which triggers different sound effects from his partner.
Crash Combiners
- Sideswipe & Bumblebee (Crash Combiner, 2017)
- Part of the first wave of the Combiner Force Crash Combiners subline, Bumblebee is a roughly Scout-class sized figure that changes from his futuristic car with a Combiner chest that doubles as his spoiler into a robot in three extremely simple steps. His individual robot mode only has limited articulation on his shoulders. He also has a little green arrow above the connector on the vehicle back indicating where to crash him to combine with other figures. A 5 mm post hole on top of his vehicle mode can accommodate a compatible accessory or Weaponizer Minicon, though he cannot use it in his individual robot mode.
- Bumblebee comes packaged with Sideswipe and is intended to combine with him to form Beeside's upper torso. Connecting them to each other will activate Bumblebee's automatic transformation, but Sideswipe must be converted manually. He can also combine with any other Crash Combiner figure to form a random Combiner. Due to how the pieces are molded, Beeside can flip out Bumblebee's arms as a
switchbladelonger sub-arm.
- Unlike the CG photos, his combiner head is missing the black paint applications.
Activator Combiners
- Stuntwing / Bumblebee (Activator Combiner, 2017)
- Released as part of the first wave of Robots in Disguise Activator Combiners, this Bumblebee is a Deluxe-sized mold that converts from robot into a vehicle in just 4 steps, with his robot arms the only poseable part. Plugging an Activator Mini-Con, such as his pack-in partner Stuntwing, onto his roof activates "Throttle Up" mode, popping out the side doors/cabins to reveal some mechanical details and teal streaks on it's rear section.
Team Combiners
- Ultra Bee (Team Combiner, 2017)
- Released as part of the Ultra Bee set, Bumblebee transforms from unposeable robot to vehicle, or into the upper torso of the gestalt. The combiner mode's head is stored inside his torso, deployed with a push of a spring-loaded button. The smaller head automatically flips down on the pop-out gestalt's head after the gimmick is activated. Amusingly, both of Bumblebee's heads can be deployed at the same time by flipping/pushing down both heads in place before activation. He also features a pseudo-autotransform feature: His combiner pegs flip out while transforming into torso mode (if the wheel panels are flipped open to make way). Due to his nature as an upper torso, he slightly towers Strongarm and Sideswipe.
- Each toy uses the same universal combination joint as the other Team Combiners and the Crash Combiners, which can lead to some... interesting combinations, given that most robots form very specific body parts when combined. Mixing Crash Combiners with Team Combiners leads to some especially weird results.
- Secondary stock photos of the toy are slightly mistransformed, featuring the combiner head deployed while 'Bee is in his standalone robot mode.
International Day of Friendship
On July 30, 2015, Hasbro announced that they had made custom pony versions of "best friends" Optimus Prime and Bumblebee along with characters from other franchises in honor of the International Day of Friendship. Both ponies have the Autobot insignia as their cutie marks. These ponies were never released to general retail or as convention exclusives, having been created specifically for this event.
Hero Mashers
- Bumblebee (Action Figure, 2015)
- Pieces: 8
- Accessories: Twin-blade, Decepticon Hunter spear-mace
- Part of the third wave of Transformers Hero Mashers basic Action Figures —and the first of the Robots in Disguise-themed product— Bumblebee is a non-transforming action figure with ratchet-joints, about six inches tall. He has multiple peg-holes all over that can be used to mount any Hero Mashers accessory. Unlike most basic Hero Mashers figures, Bumblebee got two different weapon accessories rather than just one.
- He is designed with a removable head, forearms, thighs, and lower legs, all of which use the same clip-peg/hole joint. This means his pieces can be swapped around in any order, as well as swapped with any other Hero Mashers figure... which includes figures from Marvel Comics, Star Wars, and Jurassic World, meaning you can make some pretty freaky combinations.
- The third wave of Hero Mashers was initially skipped in the US, seeing release mostly in European and Australian markets. It later filtered into the US through closeout chains Marshall's and TJ Maxx during the holiday season of 2015.
Platinum Edition
- Bumblebee & Grimlock (Platinum Edition 2-pack, 2016)
- Accessories: Decepticon Hunter
- Platinum Edition Bumblebee is a redeco of his first Robots in Disguise Warrior Class toy, featuring metallic yellow plastic, and a painted Decepticon Hunter. (See the entry far above for more information on the base mold.)
- His scannable Autobot insignia is centered on his chestplate. This badge is easily scannable while still in-package.
- Bumblebee is bundled with Grimlock, a redeco of Transformers Adventure Series Battle Grimlock, itself a retool of the Generations Fall of Cybertron Voyager Class Grimlock figure. In the United States, this set was exclusively available via online retailer Entertainment Earth, although it was also stocked by several smaller US-based online retailers who supposedly obtained it as an import from Asia. It was released in Singapore, as a Walmart exclusive in Canada, and sold at Ripley stores in Chile.
Rescue Bots Academy
Flip Racers
- Track Tower Bumblebee (2019)
- Accessories: Hot Shot figure
- Track Tower Bumblebee is a huge, chunky figure that converts from a large, wide car into a chunky, wide, and non-poseable robot (with sculpted flat fists and body to compensate his robot mode detail) that makes Grandus proud. Track Tower Bumblebee also comes with a Flip Racer Hot Shot figure, which allows him to be launched from the nape to... the ramp between the legs.
- Optimus Prime Jumbo Jet Wing Racer (Flip Racer, 2021)
- A new mold of Bumblebee was included with the large incarnation of Optimus Prime. Bumblebee transforms into a formula 1 racer and can be stored in Prime's jumbo jet mode.
Mini Bot Racers
- Bumblebee
Rescan Series
- Bumblebee (Rescan, 2019)
- Bumblebee's single-packed ATV toy was re-released in 2019 as part of the Rescue Bots Academy toyline. Aside from the Academy branding and artwork, the figure is identical to the earlier single-packed release. The same Bumblebee figure also forms the basis for the same line's "Academy Rescue Team" ATV version of Hot Shot.
- Bumblebee (Rescan, 2020)
- The slightly redecoed sportscar version of Bumblebee from 2018 was released in 2020 with Rescue Bots Academy branding. It is identical to the earlier release.
- Bumblebee (Rescan 3-pack, 2021)
- A 3-pack containing three versions of Rescan Bumblebee – sports car, VTOL jet, and off-road vehicle –, all in a gray-and-yellow Stealth-style deco.
- Bumblebee (All Star Rescan, 2021)
- A redeco of the Rescan Series car-mode Bumblebee figure, Classic Heroes Team Bumblebee features a slightly different deco from the original release, including new black paint applications on the crotch and legs, altered silver highlights on the chest, and a little less black paint on the hands. The vehicle mode resembles the 2018 redeco of the same figure, with two stripes on the hood instead of just one, but also features a new Autobot insignia at the center of the hood.
- This toy was later re-released in a new packaging lacking any Rescue Bots Academy brandings, arguably making it into another incarnation of the character.
Mighty Mighties
- Bumblebee (Mighty Mighties, 2019)
- Similar in size to the Rescue Bots Epic figures, Bumblebee's Mighty Mighties figure is non-transformable and features basic articulation.
Buzzworthy Bumblebee
- Grimlock / Bumblebee (Crash & Combine, 2021)
- Buzzworthy Bumblebee Crash & Combine Bumblebee is a redeco of 2015's Robots in Disguise Crash Combiner Bumblebee. Bumblebee comes packaged with Grimlock and is intended to combine with him to form Bumblegrim's upper torso.
- The packaging features new, Robots in Disguise-styled art of Bumblegrim, though curiously Grimlock and Bumblebee are individually represented by "Evergreen" character art.
Dinobot Adventures
- Bumblebee (Dinobot Defender, 2021)
- Accessories: Mini-Con Lance the Raptor-Bot
- Known designers: Marcelo Matere (Packaging artist)[3]
- Dinobot Adventures Bumblebee is a redeco of the Rescue Bots Rescan Series raptor-mode Bumblebee in a mostly silver deco with yellow highlights.
- Bumblebee comes packaged with a red redeco of Lance the Raptor-Bot, who was originally available in blue with Knight Watch Optimus Prime.
Studio Series
- Gamer Edition Bumblebee (Deluxe Class, 2023)
- Game: War for Cybertron
- Hasbro ID number: +01
- Accessories: cannon, energon battle pistol, sword hand, "Defend Iacon" backdrop
- Known designers: Sam Smith (Hasbro), Shuhei Umezu (TakaraTomy)[4]
- Released as the first figure in the Gamer Edition portion of the Studio Series line, Bumblebee is based on his appearance in the War for Cybertron video game, transforming into a "Cybertronian courier" in 21 steps. He includes two blasters – one based on the energon battle pistol, his default in-game weapon, and the other based on a generic arm cannon he wields in the game's opening cinematic – and a sword-arm attachment to replicate his arm blades. Bumblebee and other figures in the Gamer Edition series have removable right arms, which can be swapped out for their blasters to emulate the way characters' arms in-game transformed into their weapons. These accessories can also attach to his vehicle mode.
- Hasbro stock photography has Bumblebee mistransformed in robot mode; his car mode's front fenders are meant to fold into his chest sideways, but are left unfolded in photos.
- This mold was retooled into Studio Series Gamer Edition Cliffjumper.
Notes
- A proposed Fun Publications BotCon exclusive was a redeco of Prime Bumblebee into the Generation 1 Turbomaster Flash.[5]
Arms Up Modes
In the Japanese Prime toyline, Bumblebee has several powered-up modes when given various Arms Microns in certain configurations:
- Striker Mode (ストライカーモード Sutoraikā Mōdo)
- Arms Microns: B.B., C.L., O.P., R.A.
- The Arms Up form shown on Bumblebee's box-back photo. In this form, B.B. is mounted on his left arm, with R.A. on his right, while C.L. and O.P. take positions on Bee's backpack (which has been flipped up to allow the gun-Microns to fire sorta-forward).
- Mecha Uchi Ban Ban Mode (メチャウチバンバンモード Mecha Uchi Ban Ban Mōdo)
- Arms Microns: B.B., O.P., R.A.
- Roughly translated as "Extreme Firefight Bang Bang Mode", this "Anti-Terrorcon" Mode turns the three Microns into a gun emplacement that isn't actually attached to Bee, just one he stands behind. Introduced in the "Cybertron Satellite" segment from "Infiltration Transformation! Battleship Nemesis".
- Mecha Uchi Kidō Type (メチャウチ機動タイプ Mecha Uchi Kidō Taipu)
- Arms Microns: B.B., C.L.
- Roughly translated as "Extreme Firefight Agile Type", this other "Anti-Terrorcon" attack mode is... just Bee with B.B. on one arm and C.L. on the other. Exciting. But it was highlighted and named in the same episode as the Mecha Uchi Ban Ban Mode, so, well, for completism's sake....
- Infection Mode (インフェックションモード Infuekkushon Mōdo)
- Arms Microns: B.B., Terrorcon Zori
- Terrorcon Bumblebee's Arms Up mode is simply him using Terrorcon Zori in his right hand, and B.B. in his left. Wooo.
- Booster Mode (ブースターモード Būsutā Mōdo)
- Arms Microns: B.B., B.H., C.L., Gora, Gura, O.P., Zori
- Booster Mode Bumblebee sees him attach B.H. and C.L. to his shoulders and Zori and Gura to his back, with Zori forming a kind of scorpion tail terminating in O.P.'s gun mode. He wields a handheld cannon weapon made up of B.B. and Gora. Introduced in the "Cybertron Satellite" segment from "Hopeful Transformation! Aim for Planet Cybertron".
