Super-God Masterforce cartoon
- Voice actor: Masaharu Satō (Japanese)
The golden Guardminder leader led his dull-colored subordinates in constructing Devil Z's Death Para-Machine by the dark side of the Moon. He greeted BlackZarak when he arrived to utilize the weapon.
When Ginrai's Autobots followed Overlord's Decepticons to the Death Para-Machine, the Guardminder leader ordered his troops to split into two units, with one remaining on the weapon to defend it while he led the another into a direct confrontation with the Autobots. Many Guardminders of both units were destroyed in the ensuing battle and Ginrai managed to use Chōkon Power to destroy the Death Para-Machine. What what remained of his troops, the golden Guardminder retreated with the other Decepticons. Crisis! The Day of Human Extinction
Legends comic
In 2021, the Guardminder leader and his minions enslaved Beastformers to build a new BlackZarak body for Scorponok (who was free of Devil Z's influence after the specter's original defeat). After the resurrected Devil Z broke free of his bonds in the Legends World, he reached into the G1 World to abduct Scorponok and his transtector while the Guardminders watched. Toys
Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers
- BlackZarak (Headmaster, 1988)
- ID number: D-311
- Accessories: 2 guns
- Super-God Masterforce Black Roritchi is a redeco of Fasttrack, available only with BlackZarak, a redeco/retool of Scorponok. Transforming into a six-wheeled assault buggy, his axles were designed for quick rolling down the main ramp of BlackZarak's city mode. His two guns can be either hand-held or shoulder mounted.
- He's also almost ENTIRELY made of the brittle kind of gold plastic, so, uh, look out.
Generations Selects
- Black Roritchi (Deluxe Class, 2020)
- Series: War for Cybertron: Earthrise
- ID number: WFC-GS22
- Accessories: 2 blasters, dagger/spear-tip
- A Generations Selects add-on to Earthrise, Black Roritchi is a minor retooling of Fasttrack, with a new back-of-the-head piece that loses the outer antennae under the mistaken impression that the Guardminder leader has no antennae, as his black antennae blends into the black background of the image used as reference. Rather than matching the original toy's shade of purple plastic, this time his wheels are color-matched to Earthrise Titan Class Scorponok's purple plastic.
- As a Weaponizer-styled figure, Black Roritchi transforms via part-forming into a six-wheeled Cybertronian buggy-tank with twin blasters. The dagger accessory can be attached to the back of his head in vehicle mode to form a "seat" that can accommodate either a Titan Master or a Prime Master. Concealed within his chest is an A.I.R. Lock System connection point, which allows them to link up with other toys in the line to form larger fortifications. As on the original toy, his blasters can also peg onto his robot-mode shoulders.
- Being a Weaponizer, Black Roritchi can become armaments for other figures. The instructions include two official configurations: the first is a massive spear meant to be held by the larger Scorponok, inspired by (though not visually based on) Black Zarak's "Tyrant Spear". However, this mode doesn't incorporate Black Roritchi's upper torso piece. The second option configures Black Roritchi into a set of massive over-shoulder cannons meant to attach to smaller figures, with his vehicle cockpit and dagger also combining to form a bladed shield. Both modes are shown in the instructions being used by fellow Selects release Exhaust, which is pretty funny given Roritchi's spear mode is about three times Exhaust's height.
- This mold was also used to make Shattered Glass Collection Exo-Suit.
Notes
- Black Roritchi is never explicitly named in the Masterforce anime, only being credited as "Guardminder A" (ガードマインダーA). However, as the leader is the unique one amongst the generically identical Guardminders (who all have the Fasttrack coloration), we've elected to cover the leader here on this page.
- No, we don't know what "Roritchi" means.
