Autobot Guard

The Autobot Guard is a unit from the Wings Universe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Autobot Guard is a peace-time, quasi-military defense force overseen by the Autobot council. With one exception, the Guard was not a full time position for soldiers, but apparently assembled for particular missions and "as needed". When the Decepticon threat began, the Autobot Guard was expanded to include an Elite Guard.

Councilor Magnum called upon the Guard ship captain Thunderclash and his crew from the Eight Track to carry out an important mission. Their success gave Magnum the political capital he needed to push forward his Autobot Elite Guard program, recruiting Thunderclash's crew as the Alpha Team. Wings of Honor
