Toys

The Transformers

Arc Welder Rifle.jpg
  • Accessories: left & right fists, arc-welder rifle, 3 rockets
The Transformers Grapple could be armed with a small black arc-welder rifle in robot mode.
This mold was variously retooled and redecoed to make The Transformers Inferno, e-HOBBY RoadHauler, and The Headmasters Artfire. All except Artfire—due to his Targetmaster gimmick—came with a more or less identical weapon; Inferno's is an extinguisher rifle, while RoadHauler carries a vibro-force gun.
Grapple was reissued as part of Japan's Collector's Edition series 2001 and slightly retooled and redecoed by Hasbro in 2004 for the Generation One Commemorative Series VI, though with no significant changes to the arc-welder rifle.

Masterpiece

TF-Masterpiece-MP-35-Grapple.jpg
  • Accessories: arc-welder rifle, 2 headpieces, 4 faces, 2 wrist barrel attachments, 2 chestplates, Solar Power Tower model, Solar Power Tower blueprint, screwdriver, shovel attachment, claw attachment, die-cast Ultra Magnus figure (Asia release)
Masterpiece Grapple came with many accessories, including a suitably upscaled arc-welder rifle, which is called out in big letters on the packaging with its own section beneath. It is, of course, very similar to the extinguisher rifles carried by Masterpiece Inferno and Artfire.
