It is found that it was on Mount Trikuta, which is called by the name Adam's Peak today. Srilankan Buddhist text is quoted to prove the location of Ravana's Lanka. The Yakshas who were the natives of Lanka, controlled by Ravana were likely to be 'Balangoda Man' More details are given which can be shared widely. The English version will be published soon.

All the Mutts and scholars are unanimous on the opinion that Adi Shankara was born in the year Nandana, on Vaishakha Shukla Panchami on a Sunday when Punarvasu star was running. When I checked a 1000-year period from 500 BCE to 500 CE, it was found to match only once and that was in 148 BCE. This was the year of his birth which was further corroborated with the contemporary king mentioned by him in his commentary. King Purnavarman, the last emperor of the Maurya dynasty was mentioned by him. Adi Shankara also mentioned about Srughna which was established as the location of the Shunga-s before Pushyamitra Shunga ended the Maurya dynasty. The archaeological discovery of the emblem of elephant in Srughna and the similar emblem held by the Shunga-s show that they hailed from Srughna. They were likely to be the Bhoja-s of the Mahabharata period who fled to west to escape the wrath of Jarasandha. Adi Shankara lived at a time Srughna was popular. The Shunga dynasty was ruling from Magadha during Adi Shankra's time. He also visited Nepal long before King Vikramaditya started his shaka in 57 BCE. The dates of the Mutts established by him are given. Five years before he left the earth, he set up the Kanchi Mutt. It is unlikely that he made a walkathon after that to North India to shed his mortal coils at Kedarnath. Kanchi of the Chola-s seemed a peaceful place that he spent his last days at Kanchi. His image can be seen in many temples of Kanchi.

Of such kings found in the hagiographies, a Chola king by name Rājasena caught my attention because he was mentioned as the one who ruled Kanchi and built the temples of Kamakshi, Ekambareswara and Varadaraja in Kanchi besides building the city of Kanchi into Shiva Kanchi and Vishnu Kanchi on the advice of Adi Shankara. Rājasena was found to be Karikāl Chola who built Kallaṇai (Grand Anicut). This work establishes Rājasena's identity as Karikāl Chola besides solving issues around such claim such as the status of Iḷam Tirayan whose name also is associated with Kanchi. Karikāl Chola's northern expedition and the circumstances that made him built the Grand Anicut are also reproduced with evidence. The date of building of the Grand Anicut is also found out to be 111 BCE which makes Adi Shankara's period sometime in the 2nd century BCE. This exhaustive analysis will be followed by another extensive analysis to establish the exact date of birth of Adi Shankara which is found to be 148 BCE. That analysis will continue in the next part.

The recently reported observation of the solid inner core of the earth slowing down its motion an... more The recently reported observation of the solid inner core of the earth slowing down its motion and starting to rotate in a direction opposite to that of the motion of the spinning earth is due to the earth – along with the entire solar system – moving in a curve in the wavy path of the sun such that by the year 2300 CE, the observer on earth will start seeing the equinox moving in the forward (opposite) direction. This to and fro motion of the equinox which is the core of Vedic Astronomy is explained in this essay and supported by four evidences from science:
1. The inner core moving in the opposite direction of the earth's rotational direction.
2. Atmospheric changes
3. Change in the direction of the earth's axis to the east
4. The movement of the solstices towards each other and in progressive slower pace.
The slowing down of the Tropical limits would further go on till they stop moving. By decoding two allegorical references from Vedic literature, namely Nahusha's Fall and Agastya stopping the Vindhya hills which obstructed the Sun, the expected course in the movement of the solstices and the equinox is deciphered in this essay.
The Vedic sages did not use telescopes or gadgets to propose this theory. They just watched the earth, the shadow on the earth and the movement of sunlight on the earth to have offered this theory and its application in day-to-day life. We have yet to catch up with them…

A... more Gunung Padang Megalithic Structure (GPM) offers the best location for the start of Sun worship. As per Hindu texts, Sun worship (Saura) originated in Shāka Dwīpa, initiated by Magā Brahmins. The origin story of Saura has all the trappings of a beginning when the first solar insolation was experienced in the equatorial region following the end of the Ice Age. The story further reflects the dull phase of the Younger Dryas followed by the rising sunny days in Holocene. The Rolling stone found in GPM appears to be the image of the sun initially worshiped. It also resembles Goddess worship found in India since long.
Apart from Magā Brahmins, the short statured Vālakhilya-s (resembling Hobbits of Indonesia) were sun worshipers with their early location in Global South East in what is called Mt. Udayagiri in Fiji Islands. They along with Magā Brahmins migrated to India and continued with their Sun worship. The Tumuli in the Isle of Pines are likely to be enclosures meant for sun worship. Similar enclosure appears in the description of sun worship by King Samvarana in India during early Holocene.
The division of that pre-historic world with zero longitude running through India, 90W in present day Greenwich and 90E in Fiji Islands is also being discussed in this essay.

Known as Shāka Dwīpa, these regions encompass Sundaland and the submerged parts of North Australia where the early Tamil kingdom of Southern Madurai was located. With the arrival warmth around 14,000 years ago, the Saura worship (worship of the Sun) was started in this region. Gunung Padang Megalithic structure on Mt. Suryavān (The Mount of the Sun) offers the best place for the evolution of Sun worship which will be discussed in the next part.

The Gunung Padang Structure (GPS) located on what Ramayana describes as Mt. Suryavān (Mt. Sun) offers the best bet as the location where the week-day concept was evolved.

The locations identified on the basis of vegetation given in the story shows that migration could have happened from Altai region to Vietnam or Sundaland. The basis of this decipherment is drawn from the story itself that lays stress on understanding the etymology of the Sanskrit pro-nouns.

Of the 8 monuments discussed by him, this article focuses on Gunung Padang megalithic structure of Indonesia to establish that it is likely to be an observation platform for Mt. Gede, also known as Mt. Pushpitaka in the ancient Indic text of Ramayana.

Piecing together the implications of those nimitta-s, we are able to arrive at a conclusion that a fragmented comet hit the earth months before the Mahabharata war began in the year 3136 BCE. Some of the pieces landed at the Lower Town in Mohenjo-Daro - the evidence for which seen in the so-called 'Massacre-victims'.

Links to two more articles are given at the end, giving further details on the Vedic (Siddhantic) version of to-and-fro oscillation of the equinoxes.

The focus is primarily on India while the terror attacks in foreign countries are also analyzed. Horoscopes of wars, accidents and natural calamities such as earthquakes are discussed to show in what way they differ from terror charts. This is done because the 4 malefic planets have a role in all these instances. The ultimate objective of this research is to enumerate factors that would help in predicting terror attacks in advance.

The year of the Mahābhārata war can be deduced from the inscriptions of Janamejaya in whose presence Mahābhārata was recited for the first time. Vyasa, the author, also being present at that time, makes the decrees of Janamejaya the first rate primary evidence for dating. Fortunately three copper plate inscriptions issued to the Brahmins of Shivamogga district of Karnataka on the occasion of the Sarpa yāga by the king Janamejaya, of Hastinapura have been recovered and documented during the colonial period. Another one was found in the custody of a maṭha in the same district. This donation issued by Janamejaya includes the region occupied by the Pandavas during their exile. All these four grants contain the crucial calendar elements while one of them give the name of the year along with the Kali year. When checked with the astrology simulator the calendar elements perfectly matched with the details given. The derivations show that the Sarpa yāga was conducted in the 88th Kali year which happened to be the 28th regnal year of the king Janamejaya. The Mahābhārata was recited for the first time in that year (3014 BCE).

The dating research of the Itihāsas is no exception. Since the Itihāsas describe the past events as had happened, they come under the methodology and methods of historical dating. In this first part of the 2-part write-up, I have assessed the methodology encompassing primary and secondary sources of evidence as suitable for dating Mahābhārata. The date of Mahābhārata is deduced from the primary sources. The methods are techniques or tools to verify the date deduced from the primary sources. Two sets of data are available in Mahābhārata – the calendar or the Pancānga features and the planetary references. The use of simulators is assessed to zero in on the suitable one that can synchronise both together. The choice of simulator depends on passing the test of reliability - the test being the Kali Yuga date with Pancānga features and planetary position. It is found that only the astrology software simulated to Surya Siddhanta passes the test of Kali Yuga proving the reliability of that model for Kali Yuga time at 0 ayanamsa. In contrast the western astronomy simulator fails the test to be a reliable tool to date the Mahābhārata war.
