This game is defunct. Do note the game no longer works at all without modifications. This is most likely due to the game's servers being shut down (as of October 3, 2022). As a result, further official developments with the game are unlikely to happen.

There are no story cutscenes in Overwatch - you'll have to watch them online.

The servers were shut down, forcing its players to play the free-to-play sequel Overwatch 2 whether they like it or not. Any version of Overwatch, physical or digital, will now be replaced with the sequel when updated.

To do: Hanzo's "Young Hanzo" skin had a voice line removed. Voice lines have been added with patches but never implemented. Some voice lines have been replaced and were not a result of a removed/changed ability. Prerelease page in need (the whole Titan MMO thing and all), along with a revisional changes one as well Speaking of which, McCree's name was changed to "Cole Cassidy" in wake of THAT lawsuit where his namesake was (alleged to have been) connected to misconduct. Blizzard also removed other references to real people here and in other games; document any other changes related to this. Cover more than just the Windows release.

Unused Graphics

A texture with "Delete Me" written all over it.

These two textures are meant to signify specific surface types.

While these other two may be related to the spectator mode.

Alternate Ultimate Lines

D.Va

In Overwatch, characters that are bilingual often call out their ultimate in their mother tongue to the enemy team. It appears at one point, D.Va was meant to do this.

"게임을 하면 이겨야지!" (I play to win!)

This line later appeared as an unlockable for D.Va, purchasable for 25 credits or obtained via a lootbox.

Her "Nerf this!" line in English appeared to be different at one point too:

"Get owned!"

"Cold snap!"

An earlier take on her "Heroes never die!" line, as heard in early gameplay footage.

Pharah

"Justice! From the skies!"

Call For a Tank

In the game's public beta and final release, it was impossible to call out for a tank. Asking for a healer is possible, but it appears to be relegated solely to text; if a support class isn't in the team, the text changes from "I need healing!" to "We need a healer!".

Zarya: We need a tank!

McCree/Cole Cassidy: We could really use a tank.

Widowmaker: We need a tank!

Tracer: We could use a tank!

Reinhardt: We need another tank! I can't do it alone.

Miscellaneous Quotes

These are quotes that would've been triggered before a match or otherwise in situations not wide enough for their own category.

D.Va

"솔직히, 스타로 아빠는 못 이기겠더라.." (Honestly, I can't even beat my own dad at Starcraft.)

"Play... of the game!"

"Hahaha! You can't be serious!"

"Op, op op, D.Va style!"

"Hehe, awww! You're trying so hard."

"Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start!"

The Konami Code! This file is actually used on the official Overwatch website when Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A is pressed on a keyboard, which also causes little D.Vas to start raining from above and covering the page.

Tracer

"It's just the strangest feeling of deja vu!"

This quote appears to be an early version of the used line "Ever had the feeling of Deja Vu?"

Widowmaker

"Let's keep things professional."

Her ultimate activation lines while using the Huntress/Comtesse skin were also re-recorded, to make them easier for both the attacking and defending side to hear.

Symmetra

An early unused take of her line whenever a teleporter is destroyed.

"Teleporter offline. The path is closed."
