Mixels was Lego and Cartoon Network’s go at a franchise involving elemental or themed critters who could combine themselves to solve problems, and introduced Lego’s smaller ball-and-socket bricks. The franchise wasn’t long-lived, though; Lego had only planned 9 waves of toys to begin with, and Cartoon Network handled the show in a weird way especially in the second season. It has since become something of a niche cult classic.
