So now you know.. Explain this! What's the point? You would never understand. Nor would you want to. The truth would destroy you… What are you doing? What you couldn't! No! Ezio! There you are! Is it done? The Spaniard is dead, yes. But… The rest must wait for later! Rodrigo's son, Cesare, knows you're here! We have to go! Uncle you don't understand. There was… Later! So tell me, Ezio - what was in the vault. It was a woman. Only not. Like a ghost. A memory. She spoke of an ancient race who were as Gods… Then the stories are true. You knew? I said *stories*, Ezio. Or so I thought... Tales told of a time when this world belonged not to men, but others: The ones who came before. If they were real, what became of them? She said they were destroyed. How? All the world was made to burn... And, more disturbing, she said that it would burn again. Did she offer no words of hope? Surely there was a reason for her waiting… She said it was not our battle to fight - that it belongs to someone else.. Then what can we do? What we've always done. Protect the people. Preserve their freedom. Ensure the world is ready for this savior when he comes. [small, short laugh] Spoken like a true prophet. Not a prophet, uncle. Just an Assassin… |
This text was going to be used for an unused mission where Ezio ends up targeting Vieri's sister Viola.

What are you waiting for!? Go on! Do it! You are a girl... What does it matter if I'm a girl!? I'm a Pazzi, aren't I? I know who you are! You're the assassin who killed my father! You killed my brother, Vieri And now you hunt my uncle Jacopo! So go on, take me!What, you won't do it? You won't even hit me? Why not!? What's wrong with me!? Am I not good enough to die by your blade? My uncle was wrong to target you. But he was right to target the rest of my family!? You're a killer, so kill me! You've killed every man in my family! I have no one left! Why!? They were bad men. They killed my family. My father, my brothers. Then we are not so different... What's your name? Viola. I'm sorry, Viola... I believe you... If you won't kill me... Will you hold me? |
