The proposed work is to attempt to identify the performance of data traffic patterns (CBR, FTP and POISSON) in Zigbee personal area networks (PAN) using MANET routing protocols (AODV, DSR and INTANTSENSE). Simulation and computations of data loss, overhead, throughput, PDR and delay done using NS2 simulator (Version 2.34) with parameter of quality of data and pause time.

In this paper a simple mechanism that degrades the bandwidth (BW) of running calls to their minimum required BW, depending on the average time for the type of traffic, in order to allow new calls and achieve a zero blocking rate. Based on previous mechanisms those use the duration time of the call to apply the BW degradation, with further improvements, the simulation results proved a zero blocking rate and a starvation avoidance for the remaining BW.

In such a system, the difficult problem is to restore the original transmission. In this study, Automatic Modulation Recognition (AMR) is used to improve the precision of modulation recognition. This method is essential for advanced communication systems that require a minimal delay, such as Realtime broadcasting. Using paradigms of deep learning, the modulation approach of a received signal is identified. Feedforward neural network with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) integration is proposed for this purpose. The suggested model exhibits optimal recognition accuracy of 97.3 percent, as reported.

They commonly offer only simple radio propagation models that neglect obstacles of a propaga-tion environment. The radio wave propagation model has a strong impact on the results of the simulation run. This work shows different radio propagation models into a simulation tool. The model is based on data of the simulation area in urban area. Consequently, we obtain different performance evaluation results. This paper gives insights on the effect of different propagation models for MANETs in indoor and outdoor environments and presents the parameters and the results of simulating using network simulator.

In ad hoc networks, routes may be disconnected due to movement of nodes so route and topology are very diffi cult and challenging issues. In this paper, the effect of bad neighbor nodes in ad hoc routing is discussed and a method called Good Neighbor node Detection Algorithm (GNDA) is studied and reviewed. Ad hoc on-demand Distance Vector (AODV) supported with GNDA and conventional AODV are compared based on important performance metrics such as delay, throughput, packet delivery ratio and routing load. Finally suitable results are obtained in different scenarios and the signifi cant performance enhancement achieved.

Mobile nodes, in the Random Waypoint and Random walk mobility models, are allowed to move freely and randomly anywhere in the simulation field. However, in most real life applications, we observe that a node’s movement is subject to the environment. In particular, the motions of vehicles are bounded to the freeways or local streets in the urban area, and on campus the pedestrians may be blocked by the buildings and other obstacles. Therefore, the nodes may move in a pseudo-random way on predefined pathways in the simulation field. Some recent works address this characteristic and integrate the paths and obstacles into mobility models. We call this kind of mobility model a mobility model with geographic restriction.

Study on Indoor and Outdoor environment for Mobile Ad Hoc Network : Random Way point Mobility Model and Manhattan Mobility Model

Most of MANET simulations based on random mobility models, e.g. random waypoint model, models ins... more Most of MANET simulations based on random mobility models, e.g. random waypoint model, models insufficient to reflect the environmental constraints. In this paper we have used a combine mobility model to analyze the effect of diverse mobility pattern (Random Waypoint Mobility Model and Manhattan Mobility Model) in indoor and outdoor environment to get a realistic simulation. In these models the movements of mobile nodes are either influenced by building or restricted to street. We demonstrate the utility of our test suite by evaluating various MANET routing protocols, including DSR, AODV and DSDV. Our results show that the protocol performance may vary across mobility models and performance rankings of protocols may vary with the mobility models used. The results shown that the environment factors such as spatial constraints may cause significant impact on the network performance. Keyword: Mobility model, Mobile Adhoc Networks, Simulation.

In this paper, we evaluate an ad-hoc wireless network and investigate on performance issues in urban area. We have tried to simulate by adding base stations to adhoc architecture in urban area for wireless networks and compare their performance based on a number of factors. In this study we have used two type of mobility model (Manhattan mobility model and random waypoint mobility model). We have used ns-2 for all our simulations. In all our simulations, we have tried to quantify the effects of factors like routing protocols, mobility patterns and type of traffic, that affect the performance of ad hoc networks. Specifically, this paper evaluates the impact of these factors on the following performance metrics: throughput, packet delivery ratio and dropped packet.

The downlink blocks operating at 1550 nm using 50 Km bidirectional Single Mode Fiber (SMF) with 64 QAM modulations using RF modulated frequency 5.8 GHz (UNII) and 54 Mbps data rate. The improvement of BER of 802.11a is done by using QAM modulation and components of RoF likes using SMF and Bessel filter. The evaluation of performance of BER is done by using OPTISYSTEM for simulation results.

The Parameters which are considered for the evaluation performance are Additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN),Rayleigh propagation fading channel and the Code sequence .length. The evaluation of DS-WCDMA was derived for different type of digital modulation using Mat lab simulation link. The results were obtained in terms of bit error rates(BER)in graphical form.

In this paper, the system suggested for improvement of Bit Error Rate (BER) in WLAN IEEE 802.11a ... more In this paper, the system suggested for improvement of Bit Error Rate (BER) in WLAN IEEE 802.11a with Radio over Fiber (RoF) technology in downlink system to increase reliability of the system and to make it flexible and satisfy the future requirements. The downlink blocks operating at 1550 nm using 50 Km bidirectional Single Mode Fiber (SMF) with 64 QAM modulations using RF modulated frequency 5.8 GHz (UNII) and 54 Mbps data rate. The improvement of BER of 802.11a is done by using QAM modulation and components of RoF likes using SMF and Bessel filter. The evaluation of performance of BER is done by using OPTISYSTEM for simulation results.
