Urban Champion is a fighting game developed by Nintendo that was originally released for the NES in 1984. It is a very simple one-on-one street fighting competition. Players can punch high, or punch low. The first player to push their opponent three blocks over, or cause them to lose their stamina wins. Various events happen that might interrupt the fight, such as a police car rolling by, or an apartment dweller dropping a flower pot on the combatants. It was released in the arcades as Vs. Urban Champion as part of Nintendo's Vs. arcade system. It was re-released for the e-Reader, in 2007 for the Wii Virtual Console, for the Nintendo 3DS via the Nintendo eShop as part of the 3D Classics series in 2011, and in 2013 for the Wii U Virtual Console via the Nintendo eShop.
