  • Holotype: BNHS FWF 71 .
  • Paratypes (21): BNHS FWF 72-85 (14); WILD 14-PIS-061-064 (4); ZSI–WRC 3686-88 (3).

Type locality: Bhira (18.4410N & 73.2670E, elevation 50m), Kundalika River, Raigad District, Maharashtra, India.

Etymology: The specific name lutea is Latin for ‘yellow’ and is named for the characteristic bright yellow colored body in life.
