Jesus has various encounters with women where He gave them attention, addressed their problems, and listened to their concerns. He even empowered, enabled and sent them out to be bearers of the Gospel.

While we evangelize and judge non- pentecostals due to their abuse of Yaqona drinking and drunkenness, we need to evalute ourselves and not fall into the trap of the evil one. Gluttony or overindulgence is a less emphasized sin compared to drunkenness, but it needs to be emphasized in our churches and conferences,

Does the “Pacific way” a term coined by the late Kamisese Mara, former Prime Minster and President of Fiji, whereby Pacific Island leaders are encouraged to dialogue and discuss issues for the benefit of the Pasifika people still relevant? Can the “Vuvale or Talanoa” concept encouraged today by the Government leaders be used by the church to dialogue with authorities concerning the plight of the unvaccinated few. The democratic principle, the majority counts should not be the reason that the minority is unrelated nor neglected.

A strategy that takes into consideration the broad picture of the significance of the Kingdom of God and the entire Body of Christ working together despite our diversities should be adopted to proclaim the message of the Gospel of Christ.

National politics should not be left to corrupt politicians, to make ungodly policies but rather the church needs to raise the standard by empowering it people who are called to serve in administrative and national levels to make an impact in national building. The Bible contains the story where God created a new nation, made rules and laws, that covers religious, civil, and social aspects of society. The church while praying, needs to help build a better Fiji. Fiji needs ethical, godly and wise leadership.

It is not a historical reflection but rather a biblical view of the Church and why church splits and church divisions should not be encouraged, especially if it is a result of power hunger and unresolved personal issues. The church is the embodiment of Christ on earth, called and purposed to preach the gospel to the lost world. The fragmentations of the church in many ways lessens our testimony.
