Crawl (Horror Game)
A downloadable game for Windows
Game contains sensitive content, such as pixelated blood and low-poly corpses. If you're easily disturbed by those things, you might not enjoy this game.
Crawl is a short (max. for 20 minutes) horror game, where you need to crawl through tight cave spaces, and take photos of people that "went missing" there.
While doing that, you need to keep your flashlight powered by hand cranking it, and constantly replace the camera's cartridge for every photo you take. But beware, you're not alone down there.
The game also features an endless mode named "Madness", where you need to take as many photos as you can, while not getting killed. Here you can use syringes to heal yourself and improve your vitals, but use them wisely, since they're limited.
If you liked this game you can wishlist our other project called PHOTONS, so if you're interested in it, check its Linktree.
Game saves the photos you've taken in it's files. Their accessible from the menu by the PHOTOS FOLDER button which will open a folder with all the photos taken. They could be helpful for use in the thumbnail, or just to send your friends if you found it funny.
Since game does not have any credits screen (it would have been hard to fit it due to pixelated text filter), you'll find everything about the used assets below.
Here you can see the sounds that were used in the game with links to them: Google Spreadsheet

neat! the jumpscare sound is a little cheesy. effective atmosphere besides that, and a great job lowering the player's guard with the tedium of charging the flashlight.

The Most Terrifying Cave You Will EVER Crawl Through!
I'm claustrophobic like mad and this game had me spooked all the way!~
great game!
Had a really fun time playing this and I was defintely scared lol
This game is ONE of the SCARIEST Games on itch! I showcased your game in my S05 Recap | 22nd Game
Just Loved This!
Well that was wonderfully uncomfortable.
This is one of those games that makes low-poly and horror work so well. The game, the environment, the music, and even the graphics are all tuned to let your own brain do the magic of working up the suspense and dread.
Cool And claustrophobic would recommend!
Bicho Misterioso me perseguiu na escuridão da caverna
Besides the difficulty of turning left or right it's an amazing game.
This game was SO scary! So much anxiety!!! I loved it :D
Found the last object and died, nothing but non-stop tension and anxiety throughout. You nailed it with this game, although there were a few moments where I felt like I got soft-locked by the monster, it just kept coming back forcing me to keep taking pictures and reloading a cartridge.
Thanks for game :)
the atmosphere and play on fear is INTENSE i really enjoyed the gameplay the traversing of the tunnels was a little janky but over all a pretty good game
Cara, eu gostei, a atmosfera desse jogo é muito boa e o monstro espreitando pelos cantos dá uns sustinhos.
This was fantastic and bloody terrifying!
I don't like tight spaces..
jeje good lokete
Story: 4/10
Creepy: 8/10
Visual: 6/10
creepy game love
d itAwesome concept and execution.
You did a very good job with this little horror game. The graphical choice is eye catching and the idea of crawling through a dark and claustrophobia inducing cave is terrifying. I will admit I had a bit of trouble getting stuck on things, but that was most likely due to me not going far enough around corners before trying to turn. I honestly would love to see what the full model of the monster looks like. The small glimpses we get of it in game make me wanna know and see more! The only thing that I think the game needs a bit more ambiance. Like your movements echoing, water dripping, some pebbles falling stuff like that. Keep up the amazing work!
Definitely made me jump. Great atmosphere, loved it
monster hit me 69 times in 2 nanoseconds t'was beautiful (Game #1)
This game was amazing, I was constantly on edge trying to make sure to check my surroundings. Had a good amount of jump scares.
So, the ending music is the title music for I'm on observation duty 2, right? (I'm a big fan of Crawl and the I'm on observation duty) Are you sure you guys are allowed to be using that? Notovia probably wouldn't mind, but just in case you got it from some website, I'm almost positive Notovia made it himself. I just want to make sure you guys aren't accidentally using Notovia's song, and then you get in trouble for it. Good game btw, very spooky :)
We're glad you liked the game!
All sounds we used are listed in spreadsheet on the bottom of the itch.io page. The music you probably are referring to was uploaded on freesound with CC0 license - 2 years before "I am on observation duty 2" released. So I guess Notovia may also found it the same way we did.

Glad to hear that! Also glad I can use the music in my own games as well :)
I need to stop ending messages with a smiley face this is becoming a problem
