The study, ‘The perceived best teaching strategy of freshmen Saint Mary’s Univers... more The study, ‘The perceived best teaching strategy of freshmen Saint Mary’s University students during the school year 2014-2015” generally aims to determine the best teaching strategy among the freshmen students.
A Descriptive Research was used. On the other hand, the research was conducted at Saint Mary’s University Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. The respondents were freshmen students from the different schools that comprise SMU. The tool used in gathering data about the perceived best teaching strategy of freshmen students was a questionnaire.
Based on the results and findings of the study, the following conclusions are extracted: The majority of freshmen students prefer lecture while they least prefer having debates. Furthermore, they learn better if the teacher asks questions after discussion while they do not prefer the teacher dominating the whole discussion.
