I'm going to show you how you can make your own custom stationary with this little trick and it's so simple and so easy. One ply of napkin and a little bit of cling wrap. You want the cling wrap a little bit bigger than the envelope. We're going to trim off the extra. You don't need a whole bunch hanging off. We're going to put down some parchment paper underneath our towel and put that one ply of napkin down, parchment paper on top, and then we're just going to iron it on the highest setting, no steam. That's it and that is going to bond that napkin and that paper together. We're going to trim it right up and we now have a beautiful custom envelope. Fold it down and it's perfect to add to any of your gifts or to put a little bit of money in to give to a friend, a family, and it's all customized. I also did a piece of paper. Because my napkin is not a continuous pattern. I'm going to cut out one of these squares. For today I'm going to show you how to use a school glue. We're going to put in just enough to use on that napkin and we're going to add equal amount water. This step is optional but I love adding it. This is just some instant coffee and I'm just adding a little tiny bit of it and I find that it gives your rice paper that antique or that vintage feel. And then your to take your mixture and you're going to start just brushing it on working from the inside out. We need it to soak right through the napkin so it goes onto that baking sheet. And are you ready? This is fabulous. This is sat for a couple hours. It's dried completely. We're peeling it off that plastic. And there is your DIY rice paper that easy. It's see through. It's you can fold it. You can crinkle it up. I love adding this into my junk journals. Now the side that is laying down is going to be glossy and the side that's facing up is going to be matte. So many ideas swirling. You need to try this DIY because it's so simple.
