However, this heavily ribbed heirloom beefsteak tomato variety from the Tuscany region of Italy is one of my staples. That’s because it’s a very heavy producer, is good for canning and preservation and is just an all round great looking tomato that adds character to any plate. Here in the UK I grow it as an Annual plant, but I keep a couple of the best looking fruits to save seed for the following season.
