The Real World, Deck Edition, faces East, South/East

A connecting space uniting interior, via the kitchen/sunroom, with outdoors. In Spring-Fall it's another room and the only area we have strong sunlight, garden tasks and dining will be here. In Winter it has to be easy to clear snow and get out the door. We keep all the gear in this area. Could store wood. Main Priorities: 1. Easy flow from Kitchen to Sunroom through the outdoor space 2. Flat wooden area for lounging/dining/potted plants 3. Natural connection from built areas into the garden

Stones that remind me of grandparents home.
I love this all the way, but I live in a much drier, hotter, sunnier location. I love the color and style of stone steps, love the shades of greens and the few scattered flowers. Even the coniferous trees in this picture are brighter green, looking more "you're yang and alive" than most pine trees.
