You know that orange wood nobody wants? Yeah, it’s gotta go. I’m turning this orangey dresser into a light wood beauty, and trust me—it’s easier than it looks when you’ve got the right tools. 💪

Here’s how I flipped this piece in no time (and how you can too!):

1️⃣ Strip & Sand: First things first, strip that old finish and sand smooth.

2️⃣ Bleach with Oxalic Acid: This is where the orange starts to vanish. Oxalic acid brightens up the wood like magic. 💥

3️⃣ Hand Sand: Yes, we’re sanding again to make it smooth and ready after raising the grain.

4️⃣ Paint Wash: This is where the magic happens! Nothing the big machine and edger can’t handle 💪🏻 Three sands were done, starting with 50grit then 80grit and finishing on 100grit. Then 3 coats of Berge-Seidle water based polyurethane was applied in a beautiful flat ultra matt finish 👌🏻 DONE! #floorsanding #timberfloor #hardwoodflooring #hardwoodfloor #hardwoodfloors #floorrestoration #floorrestoring #floorrefinishing #floorrefinisher #tasmanianoak #tradie #sandpaper #50grit #galaxyfloorsander #americansanders #floorvarnish #floorcoating #floorcoatings #bergerseidle #asmr #asmrsounds" Sand Hardwood Floors Diy, Tasmanian Oak Flooring, Hard Flooring Ideas, Sanded Floorboards, Sanding Floorboards, Diy Wood Flooring, Hardwood Floor Ideas, Sanding Wood Floors, Refinish Hardwood Floors

Quicksand Flooring on Instagram: "This floor had so many gaps, some of them up to 10mm wide!! It started to become a hazard so this is how we fixed them:

First we sand all the old varnish off to start prepping the floor. Then we need to remove all the hardened, cracked old filler - using a plunge saw makes this a much easier job!

Now we start mixing up the filler - Pak Stop by Berger Seidle mixed with the matching PafukiPowder in the colour Maple/Ash/Pine to match the Baltic Pine floor. The best thing about this filler is that it stays completely FLEXIBLE allowing the boards to move with expansion and contraction. Game changing 👏🏻

It then gets evenly troweled onto the floor to fill all the gaps. Once dried (14-16hrs) it gets sanded off. After some buffing the floor is ready to be coa Sanding Floors, Self Leveling Floor, Sand Floor, Floor Sanding, Diy Wood Floors, Old Wood Floors, Building Tips, Wide Plank Flooring, Pine Floors
