Easy DIY Planter Box for Patio Edge/Boarder that doesn’t Block the View
Here’s an easy DIY planter box I made using these beautiful white planter boxes and large agave plants. Here’s how: 1. Two 6.5” floral rounds to hold each agave stem. 2. 3 agave stems per box. 3. Then fill with fiber fill (pillow stuffing). I just used old pillows and cut them open. 4. Use Big Gap foaming filler to seal the space. 5. Once cured (less than an hour) I finished with large white river rocks. These low profile planter boxes are perfect to define the edge of a patio or create space separation without blocking the view! #amazonhome #homehacks #easydiy #outdoorliving #summerdiy

A great day with @nourish.hq .hq building a cloche from coppiced hazel 🌳 check out more of her work. The long dark winter has finally ended 🌞 and the sun has woken up the garden with real urgency! Everything is leafing out and growing before our eyes. Hazel structures like these are an elegant solution to lush, frothy growth that becomes top heavy and requires a little extra structural support. Before long the entire thing will be covered with blooms and foliage, but while we wait, the f...

Casie’s Garden on Instagram: "Propagating tomato plants is a rewarding experience. Here are some tips to ensure that your tomato cuttings thrive and grow into healthy plants: 🍅 Choose the right variety for propagation. Some tomato varieties, like heirlooms, are known to propagate more easily than others. 🍅 Always opt for a healthy parent plant. The healthier the parent plant is, the more likely the cuttings will thrive. Make sure you select a plant that is free of disease and pests. 🍅 When taking cuttings, aim for a 6-8 inch stem section from the parent plant. Use a sharp, sterilized knife or pruning shears for this. It is important that the cutting has at least one node — a bump on the stem where a leaf or branch can grow. 🍅 Remove the lower leaves from the cuttings leaving only t

Sarahli Wilcox on Instagram: "Stucco Garden Beds Part 4 Continued What can I say about Stucco?... A LOT. I’ve learned quite a bit from personal experience in our home and my fav internet Stucco guru, Kirk Giordano (look him up). In a nutshell, there are many types of stucco, textures, & systems. It’s quite overwhelming. We went with the 2-system method, which is comprised of a scratch and brown coat in a bag ready to go and your final finish either in a bag or in a bucket. If I had to do the garden beds all over again, I would have gone with the traditional coat system all the way. I did use the traditional method with La Habra Scratch & Brown coat, but I should have also used their smooth finish. In a nutshell, traditional stucco is mostly of comprised of cement, sand, lime, and water
Geranium
Get lost in a blooming field of wildflowers. Flowers are often worn in the buttonhole of an elegant suit, but are not usually found in a sillage. But geranium, which shares a few scent molecules with rose, is an exception to this rule. Geranium thumbs its nose at custom and pays homage to this flower. This perfume, brightened by accents of citrus and spice, is simply sublime.Geraniums exist in a great number of varieties, but in most varieties of geranium, the flowers have no scent. The scent
