The Philippines as part of "Western civilization"
[change source]Hello, Kidlat. What definition do you use for "Western civilization" to include the Philippines as part of it, and what sources can you provide to support this claim? It is not part of the Western hemisphere (see map), so you must be using a different definition of Western civilization than I do. Jonas D. Rand T 09:19, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I added the reference to the article: Toynbee, Arnold A Study of History Volume XI—Historical Atlas and Gazetteer London:1959 Oxford University Press Map, Page 93 “Civilization Current in AD 1952” –Western Civilization is shown as including the Americas, Europe, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines (that part of the world where those who practice the Christian religion constitute a majority of the population). - Thank you. I do not have this book personally, so I'll have to trust you. It seems plausible (considering the popularity of Catholicism in the Philippines). Jonas D. Rand T 10:00, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
[change source]Thank you for all the edits. I hope you stick around :) —MC8 (b · t) 20:08, Tuesday May 26 2009 (UTC) (I ♥ Kennedy)

- I will tell you if you come on my IRC channel as wikipedia is not the place to socialize. :)-- † CR90 10:38, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Service Award
[change source]For some one who has done so much work on color, it is great to be able to give you this Little Red Book, congratulations, Peterdownunder (talk) 11:41, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Deletion
[change source]You are doing good work. Sometimes articles we start are nominated for deletion... even some of mine are. This happens from time to time. It is not a reflection of you as an editor, but a reflection of the nominators opinion on some aspect of the page. I have nominated for deletion an article you started with a deletion discussion on this page You are free to comment on that discussion if you like. Very kindly, Jon@talk:~$ 15:37, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
QD request
[change source]Hi, I tagged Periwinkle (color) for quick deletion as a transwiki page. That means the writing are an exact copy from English Wikipedia. This is Simple English Wikipedia, so we can't just copy and paste. We have to rewrite articles to be simple. Thanks, Gotanda (talk) 08:46, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
New Award
[change source]An impressive achievement of over 2500 edits, almost all on the subject of color. Sorry this new book is not as bright as the last, but it has mellowed (like me) over time.--Peterdownunder (talk) 03:37, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
Notice
[change source]Hi Kidlat! I hope you are doing well. There is a discussion on Simple talk that might interest you, at Wikipedia:Simple talk#List of colors, change into sortable wikitables proposal (permanent link). It's about formatting lists of colours into tables. Osiris (talk) 03:23, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
