The Soul Sessions is the debut studio album by English singer-songwriter Joss Stone . It was released on 16 September 2003 by S-Curve Records and EMI /Virgin Records .
When The Soul Sessions was released on 16 September 2003. At the time Stone was just 16 years old. The album took four days to record.[ 1] The songs on the album are cover versions of classic soul songs.[ 2]
The Soul Sessions received positive reviews from music critics.[ 12]
