Beer is a fermented beverage made in several steps from cereal grains such as malted barley. Other grains such as corn and rice are being used to aid in the final texture and flavour of the product. The primary ingredients in making beer are: malted barley, water, hops, and yeast. Water generally constitutes more than 90% of the finished product. The final alcohol content may vary from 0.5% to 15% and the pH is typically 4.5 or less. Three variety of barley have been selected in which two are 2-row (DWRB 101 & RD 2849) and one is 6-row (BH 959) barley, were obtained from the Indian Institute of Wheat and Barley Research (IIWBR), Karnal, Haryana. All the parameters and selected variety of barley (BH 959, DWRB 101, & RD 2849) in consideration, during dissertation the superior variety was estimated in descending order (RD 2849, DWRB 101 and BH 959). And during the project work sanitary condition was implemented strictly, Such as in grain receiv...

Numerous studies utilized link prediction approaches in order sto find missing links or predict the likelihood of future links as well as employed for reconstruction networks, recommender systems, privacy control, etc. This work presents an extensive review of state-of-art methods and algorithms proposed on this subject and categorizes them into four main categories: similarity-based methods, probabilistic methods, relational models, and learning-based methods. Additionally, a collection of network data sets has been presented in this paper, which can be used in order to study link prediction. We conclude this study with a discussion of recent developments and future research directions.

The green peas were pretreated with citric acid solutions and blanched with hot water at 85C before drying. The drying process was continued until sample moisture fell to equilibrium moisture content. The blanched samples dried faster than those in other pretreatments and control conditions. Moreover, rehydration capacities of the pretreatments were higher than control samples. The drying rate curve contained no constant rate drying period but the drying process took place in the falling rate period. Drying data were fitted to two thin-layer drying models; namely Page and exponential model. The performance of the models was evaluated by comparing the coefficient of determination (R), and root mean square error (RMSE). The models that best represented green pea drying was Page model.. All the sensory attributes like colour, taste, texture, flavor, appearance and overall accep...

Various cooling equipment’s are available within the market within different working principle, in which vapour compression system being the most common. But due to its design it is not easy to make it portable in which use of Peltier comes in place. Peltier being solid state in nature also has a benefit of being small in size as well it runs completely on Direct current. But due to lower efficiency of Peltier module the use is limited to some specific purpose. The heat dissipation of Peltier is higher than that of the absorption which intends require continuous removal of heat. For which liquid cooling outperform all in coefficient of performance. There are various coolants that can be incorporated within the system, in which water being the most common. So as per this research, water is compared to that of ethanol which being less common in terms of...

The carrot pomace was dried at 45 o C and then was grinded into powder. Also a control sample without fortification was evaluated to assess the difference of physio-chemical parameters between the control and experimental samples during the storage period of 6 days. The parameters were evaluated and assessed on day 0, day 2, day 4 and day 6, respectively. Refined oil was used as shortening agent while sugar powder was added as rich supplement of free carbohydrate source for proper leavening. Preactivated yeast was used for leavening and making of dough. During storage there was loss in the amount of moisture, ash, fat, crude fiber, protein as far as physio-chemical parameters were concerned. The study conducted showed that fortification of carrot pomace directly influences the qualitative aspects of prepared bread while the organoleptic study suggested that bread was acceptable for consumption for a period of six days whileT 2 having 5g of carrot pomace was desirable for acceptability on most accounts. The F test was found significant at (P<0.05).

One example is bottles made with nanocomposites that minimize the leakage of carbon dioxide out of the bottle; this increases the shelf life of carbonated beverages without having to use heavier glass bottles or more expensive cans. Another example is food storage bins with silver nanoparticles embedded in the plastic. The silver nanoparticles kill bacteria from any food previously stored in the bins, minimizing harmful bacteria. There are other food packaging products currently under development. For example nanosensors in plastic packaging can detect gases given off by food when it spoils and the packaging itself changes color to alert you to food gone bad. Plastic films are being developed that will allow the food to stay fresher longer. These films are packed with silicate nanoparticles to reduce the flow of oxygen into the package and the leaking of moisture out of the package, Nanosensors are being developed that can detect bacteria and other contaminates such as salmonella on the surface of food at a packaging plant. This will allow for frequent testing at a much lower cost than is incurred by sending samples to a lab for analysis. This point-of-packaging testing, if conducted properly, has the potential to dramatically reduce the chance of contaminated food reaching grocery store shelves. There are also nanosensors being developed to detect pesticides on fruit and vegetables.

Pectin was extracted from Sweet lemon (mosambi) peel powder using two different acids (citric and nitric) and at three different temperatures, time and pH viz (60, 70 & 80°C), (30,45 & 60 min),(1.5,2 & 2.5pH) respectively. Pectin yields varied from 21.4% to 76.0% and 17.4% to 46.4% extracted by using citric acid and nitric acid respectively. The best extraction condition was found to be higher in yield by using citric acid at 80°C, 60min, 1.5pH. The equivalent weight of pectin isolated from sweet lemon peel powder using citric acid and nitric acid as reagents contained 312.5 and 833.33 respectively. The percent methoxyl content of isolated pectin showed higher by using citric acid. The percent anhydrouronic acid of isolated pectin was found to be higher by using citric acid as compared to nitric acid as reagents. The pectin extracted using nitric acid in this study can be categorized as high methoxyl pectin because it has more than 50% of degree of esterification. The ash and moisture content of isolated pectin were studied. Sensory evaluation of developed jelly were
