Is It Just Me???

How is it Thursday? Christmas Eve is tomorrow night? And how is it possibly winding down 2021????So, if you have been paying attention, while today is Thursday and should be my GIU Day 4, well yesterday got away from me. So tomorrow I will have two projects for you. And don't forget there are prizes involved. Make sure you are commenting so that you have a shot at a prize as winners will be chosen from the comments left this week!

So without further ado, here is today's creation...

This fabulous last minute card comes together so asily and is made using Cheery Christmas. I have used a bit of heat embossing with clear embossing powder, which, at least I think anyway, gives it a more finished look. So is anyone else still scrambling or is it just me????

Let me know and leave me a comment! I will be back tomorrow, but until then I can't wait to see what you create!

More Christmas Card Fun!

Hello Friends! Today I am bringing you a fairly quick and easy holiday card. For this project I am using Bonsai Cardstock and Habanero Cardstock along with Curious Metallic Cardstock in White Silver as well as Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock 110 lb.

I am using Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock 110 lb for my card base, which I am cutting to 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches and then scoring at 4 1/4 inches to create my card base. Next I am cutting my Bonsai Cardstock to 41/8 inches by 5 3/8 inches. Next, I am cutting my Habanero Cardstock down to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches. I am then adhering these layers sing ScorTape.

I then cut down a panel that was designed as a slimline card panel. It is part of a panel set from Whimsy Stamps and is called SurReally Cool Christmas. I cut this panel down to 4 3/4 inches by 3 5/8 inches. Now when I put that together I felt it still needed a little something.

I used the Curious Metallic Cardstock in White Silver and cut it to 4 7/8 inches by 3 3/4 inches. And that made a big difference for me. Now I am trying to make sure that I have some cards in Spanish as well as in English as I live in the Southwest and we do have a lot of Spanish speaking friends. I used a die from Penny Black for my sentiment cutting it out of the same Curious Metallic Cardstock in White Silver and I used a few jewels from a Queen and Company Bling set I have to dot my letter Is. I did use ScorTape on the back of my cardstock when I ran it through my die cutting machine so that my sentiment would actually be a sticker. And there you have it. I love how this came out.

I have an affiliate link for CutCaardstock if you would please consider using it. It doesn't cost you anything to use and does help me continue to bring you fun and fabulous projects! Here is the link:

There Is Purpose

Hello Friends! Today I wanted to bring you something that for some of you may be a bit different, and for some of you, you may be thinking, this is not new and how are you so late to the party! Ok, so what exactly am I talking about? I have recently become a fan of Pinkfresh Studios line and, in particular, they have washi tape that has a super strong hold, and it coordinates with a matching die. So you put your washi tape on your cardstock and then use the coordinating die and run it through your die cutting machine! All your card elements are then cut out already colored and ready to just adhere to your projects. How awesome is that! And they have the matching stamps also, and stencils that even match so you can do your own colors. But for todays' project I am using the washi tape.

Oh and one thing to also keep in mind when using washi on cardstock, the color of the cardstock that you use can either brighten or subdue the washi colors a little bit. And full credit, I learned about this while attending a virtual online retreat called Happiness is Homemade which was put on by a company called Firefly Farms, and was able to take a virtual class on this using Pinkfresh Studios products and learned from the amazing, and very talented Lea Lawson. So, you are getting my spin on this project, so lets get to the project.

I am using Joyful Bouquet Washi Tape and coordinating die, along with the sentiment stamp set from the coordinating stamp set. I am using Classic Crest Natural White for not only creating my A2 card base, but also for my smallest card layer. Additionally I am using Adobo Textured Cardstock and Yellow Jacket Textured Cardstock for my layers. My A2 card layer is creted by cutting my Classic Crest Natural White to 8 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches and then scoring at 4 1/4 inches. I am then cutting my Adobo Textured Cardstock to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches, and my Yellow Jacket Textured Cardstock to 3 3/4 inches by 5 inches, and finally Classic Crest Natural White  to 3 1/2 inches by 4 3/4 inches. I am then adhering all my layers with ScorTape

Next I am taking a piece of my washi, adhered to a sheet of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I wanted to make sure my colors stay as true and bright as possible. I am then using the coordinating die and running it through my die cut machine. I chose a sentiment from the matching stamp set and used my MISTI and Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp my sentiment and then just trimmed around the sentiment. Then using ScorTape I adhered my flowers, and the cute bow that I had in my stash from Anna Griffin from a number of years ago. And finally, I used Double Sided Foam Adhesive Circles to pop up my sentiment. And there you have it!

Thank You!

Hi Everyone! Are you all in the swing of everything autumn? Around here it seems like no matter where you go, there is pumpkin spice, leaves changing colors, and even some cooler temperatures. So it stands to reason that my card today features Fall colors, and is a fun Thank You card. To me, this just fits! So let's have a look!

For this card I am using Classic Crest Natural White for not only my base, but also for my embossing and die cutting. I am cutting an A2 card base (8 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches and then scoring at 4 1/4 inches). With the leftover half of the cardstock, I am cutting it into two pieces, both 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches. I am taking one of these two pieces and using an embossing folder that I have had for literally years, called Honeysuckle Vines, from Anna Griffin, I am running this through my Gemini Die Cutting machine. Next, I am using the other piece of Natural White and with heart dies from The Stamp Market which I just got while participating in an event called Crop and Create.

Next, I am using a coordinating stamp set that goes with that die set I just mentioned, and using the veins part only of a two step stamp. I am actually using colored cardstock and stamping the veins on, then die cutting the leaves. For this I am using cardstock in Orange Fizz Pop Tone Cardstock, Adobo Textured Cardstock, and Yellow Jacket Textured Cardstock, and for my stamping I am using inks from Catherine Pooler in Samba, Orange Twist and Tiki Torch.

Now that we have all our pieces, we will assemble our card using ScorTape. And here you have it!

Let It Snow

Hey Everyone! Happy Friday! Well it is finally cooling down in my little corner of the world! But before I post lots of Hot Air Balloon cards and Alien cards, check out this really fun winter card! I adore penguins, and in this new Sparkle Blend, LOOK! PENGUINS!!!!!! I used the Snow Birds Sparkle Blend along with All Bundled Up 6x6 Paper Pad from Queen and Company, along with some Lawn Fawn Layering Dies and a retired set called Frosties to create this infinity shaker.

I really adore how this came out!

Head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. and grab your favorites!!!!!! And as always, take a look on the Facebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

Believe

So, one of the things that I adore about the holiday season is the magic! I love all the magicalness of the lights, the smells, the total sparkle of the holiday season. I am "that parent" that would go to Polar Express even if my children are at that point that they don't want to. I really love everything about the magic of the season. And with that, I bring you this.

For this project I am using a bit of a combination of things. The magic comes from the sparkle of a Sparkle Blends Mix called Stockings Were Hung. I am using my shape elements, sentiment and foam shaker from Heartfelt Holiday Shaker Kit by Queen and Company along with papers from North Pole Party and Winter Wonderland Solids 6x6 paper pads, also by Queen and Company. I am also using a bow from Anna Griffin as well as cardstock card base from CutCardstock. I am also using Scor Tape and Lawn Fawn Glue Tube to attach everything.

I really adore how this came out!

Head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. and grab your favorites!!!!!! And as always, take a look on the Facebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

Team Tiny Video Hop

Hi Everyone, and Happy Saturday! Yes, you read that right. I did say Video Hop! Yup, I made a video and am participating in a video hop! There is definitely what I consider to be a definite learning curve on making videos which is very different than doing a blog post or an Instagram post. And for me personally, I have a really short attention span.

So here are the basics. Check out this company, https://www.crescentcreation.com/ . I got to play with two of their new digi release sets, Big Trick n Treat Sentiment Digital Stamp and Trick or Treat Digital Stamp and with these I am doing some ink blending, foiling and, you know me, a shaker card ultimately!.

Oh, and did I mention, Crescent Creation will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to their store! So you have to comment on the different Youtube videos in the hop. You can find the hop with hashtag #teamtinycrescentcreationhop

So here is the link to my video! https://youtu.be/EiC3IO2ESks

Please, have a look and I really want to know what you think. And since I am new at this, constructive criticism is welcome. Also, if there is something in particular you would like me to cover, definitely let me know!

As always!

Hugs,

Judy

Fall Birthdays? Yes Please!

I love making Fall cards, and I love making Birthday cards. And when you can combine the two? Well, what could be better! So let's get started!

I wanted a slightly warmer tone with this Fall Birthday card, so I am using  Classic Crest Baronial Ivory 80# Cover for both my card base and for my leaf blending layer. So I am cutting an A2 card base (8 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches and then scoring at 4 1/4 inches. I am then taking the other half of my sheet of cardstock and using Catherine Pooler inks in Tutti Frutti, Orange Twist, Shea Butter and Tiki Torch and blending these with my Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes. Now since I am intending on die cutting this with a leafy border background die, I wasn't looking for a perfect blend. So you can see I have done this blending first before die cutting.

Next, I am using the new cover die from Lawn Fawn called Fall Leaves Backdrop, and cutting out my leafy layer.  Now I did want a bit of a border on the card so I cut the die a second time, but this time I used Stardream Metallic Gold 105# Cardstock.I then trimmed off the leaves, which then gave me a perfectly fitting border. I then used ScorTape to adhere my leaf layer and my gold frame layer.

Next for my sentiment I used a pretty new to me die set from Spellbinders called Simply Perfect Mix and Match Sentiments. Now what I really adore about this die set is that if you look, you will see that the dot for the letter I in Birthday is actually an attached piece and not a separate floating little dot, that I tend to lose when making cards. So I have taken a piece of Ginger Snap Cardstock and before running it through my die cutting machine, I am adding some ScorTape behind so that when I cut the sentiment out, I am actually making myself a sticker. This makes the whole adding of a die cut so much easier. At least it makes it easier for me.

And with that, our project is complete!

I have an affiliate link for CutCaardstock if you would please consider using it. It doesn't cost you anything to use and does help me continue to bring you fun and fabulous projects! Here is the link:

I do hope you have enjoyed this project, and as always I can't wait to see what you create!
