Scalable Video Coding (SVC) is a video coding scheme used for different users with bandwidth level. SVC encodes a video into a number of layers. Users receive different number of encoded layers based on their channel condition. In this paper, Intermediate Control Server (ICS) is proposed to deal with the signaling between multimedia server and BS. Both AMC and SVC are employed to enhance the user perceived video quality in the system.

The lowest-energy structures ( 1a–6a ) of planar B n N ( n = 1–6) are located. It is worthy to note a structural transition occurring in the series of B n N ( n = 1–6) clusters upon increase of the boron content from n = 3 to n = 4. The evolution of the binding energy per atom, incremental binding energy, and second order difference of total energy with the size of B n N reveals that the lowest-energy isomers 2a ( B 2 N) and 5a (B 5 N) are highly stable. Results demonstrate that the stability of lowest-energy isomers of B n N ( n = 1–6) is attributed to the delocalized π, σ-radial, and σ-tangential molecular orbitals (MOs) interactions. The isomers of B n N ( n = 4–6) with planar multicoordinate boron or nitrogen are unfavorable in energy. The double aromaticity of isomer 3d of B 3 N is discussed in terms of valence molecular orbital, electron localization function (ELF) and adaptive natural density partitioning (AdNDP), and NICS analyses. Interestingly, some isomer pairs can be transferred directly to each other by two or three isomerization channels. Some isomers of B n N with large thermodynamic and kinetic stability are predicted in terms of their total energies and potential energy surfaces, which is important for future experimental studies.

Here we examine the mortality/complication incidence in patients with chronically increased NLR verses patients with acutely elevated NLR as a predictor of patient outcomes. METHODS This retrospective analysis included 102 patients who underwent LVAD implantation from 2016-2018 at a single center. The NLR was calculated at the time of surgery, and at 30 and 90 days after surgery. The NLR values were grouped into categorical data: low, normal (put in range), and high. Patients were classified in 2 groups based on change in their NLR values from surgery to 90 days; the H90 group had sustained increase of NLR over 90-days and the N90 group had normalization of NLR at 90-days. Actuarial survival the between study groups was measured using Kaplan-Meier curves. RESULTS The N90 group had 50 patients (median age 58 (48-66) years, 21% female) at the time of LVAD placement. Group H90 had 52 patients (median age 64 (52-68) years, 16% female). Median age, BMI, bilirubin, creatinine, and BNP at time of implant as well as type of device and implant strategy were comparable between the study groups (Table 1). The post implant survival for N90 group was significantly better than the H90 group at 1 year (93% vs. 80%) and 2 years (90% vs. 67%) (log-rank p=0.001) (Figure 1). CONCLUSION Early post LVAD survival in patients with elevated NLR over 90 days postoperatively was significantly worse compared to patients who normalized the NLR at 90 days.

C-kit, a cell surface receptor, has been proposed as a marker of CPCs and the result of multiple preclinical studies and a phase I clinical trial has been encouraging. Nonetheless, optimization of isolation methods is desirable given the heterogeneity of c-kit positive CPCs. We hypothesize that isolation of c-kit positive CPCs based on differential adhesion identifies a superior population of cells. Methods: Non-adherent cells from digested murine hearts were transferred to successive flasks at 2, 4, 24, 48 and 72 hours. Hence, 5 fractions of cells were isolated based on their adhesion profile and labeled rapidly-adherent (1 and 2) and slowly-adherent (3 to 5). Cells were then expanded and sorted based on c-kit expression and expanded to seven passages. Cells were analyzed for surface markers and cardiomyogenic and pluripotent expression profile by ...
